I run my bandit mid motor with a shorty and what I did was dremel some slots in the chassis and use a Velcro battery strap from a Traxxas Spartan. Super cheap. I still use the stock battery brace to secure the front.
I still use the traxxas waterproof cover for the receiver and used Velcro and mounted it in the front and lined it up in the middle. I wish I was able to send a picture
I know this is an old video but do you remember what shock oil you were running? Or give me something to base off of. I’m running a hot racing transmission in the rear and threw 50 weight and it’s too much. Any suggestions?
I think I was running 40wt front, 35wt rear or so. But it depends a lot on what pistons you use, some have bigger or more holes and you would need to use thicker oil. I'm not familiar with setting up Hot Racing shocks.
I’ll take a bunch of Basically’s over - “I’m gonna go ahead and fix this” then I’m gonna go ahead and trim this. Then....I’m gonna go ahead and make myself another coffee
@@RazorRC what do you mean probly? How are your wheels connected lol I'm looking at some 12mm hex stadium wheels. Some say they will fit the rears fine but the fronts are made for the nitro front wich uses the bearing inside the wheels instead of inside the hub like the stock rears. On a side note how do you adjust the top position of the front shocks?
@@RazorRC I'm looking at some 12mm hub losi stadium wheels. Stock rustler uses 12mm hubs with the bearing in the hub. What are you running in that area?

That rustler is giving me some ideas for a next project but have to get one first

Does that fiberglass front shock mount work on a slash?
Would you think it’s more durable than a slash 2wd
Very nicely modded rustler. I bet it handles like a dream. Do you happen to know how much it weighs with the battery in it?
It seems like the rustler doesnt have much choice in suspension geometry
