My brother and I own a '57 Cadillac after high school. He bought it in '67 for $350. He had to put a transmission in for %450. I paid for the transmission. In '67, the car was not that popular. There was a radical change between the 50's and 60's cars. It had a 4 speed hydromatic and was fast. In those days, racing at red light was common, but road rage wasn't common. This Cadillac was faster then most cars. I think because of the 4 speed automation. I liked the car. I'd be driving 90 mph and it felt like 60 mph. It had two mufflers and about 6 resonators (I think ) My brother bought the last exhaust system in Pittsburgh for a '57 Cadillac. He also put a carburetor in it. He had trouble getting it, because the carburetor for a '57 would only fit in a '57 even though the engine from '53 to '58 were basically the same. It was a big 4 barrel carburetor.

It basically looks like a gussied up 1958 Chevrolet Impala, but was made a year earlier, in 1957
If I could, I would pay $100,000 for this car.
