I have had severe testing of my faith and severe destruction in the life I had built as an idol of myself. As a result, I've gone through a heavy season of deconstruction, and reconstruction based on the Bible. This year, I am planning to move to a BMA church. They have seemed to me to really live up to their name. Missional, city on a hill type churches which foster disciples, not just "believers".
Interesting to note that from what I've heard, there is a discussion going on in the BMA circles about how literal hell is and how long a soul lasts while in that state. Would be interested in knowing the origins of such a discussion. 🔥🔥🔥
I heard that they had, or at least were going to come down on a very strong eternal conscious torment view, and were going to require all ordained people to hold that view. But that may not have happened.we
To the best of my knowledge the disagreement at this point is mainly on how the situation was handled and less on the ECT vs CI debate (BMA is pretty clear on their view as a whole). Some feel that BMA was to unwilling to consider the view.
@@YuriyAndSarahKravets @MarshalZimmerman Interesting to hear! Also, kind of fun to be having a conversation about Mennonites under a Ready to Harvest video. :)
@@lynnmmartinin the spirt of full disclosure i do not currently attend a BMA church, I just have friends who do. With these things there is almost always multiple sides to each story, and yes I never thought I would ever comment on a RUclips video let alone one about mennonite conferences 😂
@@jacobemmanuel4772Arminianism and legalism are two huge false gospels. We are saved by Grace through faith, not by works. If you try to keep one part of the law, you best keep all of it. @@Hark1677 A false gospel, as in unsaved? Just curious what you mean by that. Even R.C. Sproul thought Armenians can be saved. If by false gospel you mean "unsaved" I would caution you from being so quick to cast brothers and sisters out of the kingdom. I have never met a Mennonite that would in anyway disagree with scripture that says we are saved by grace through faith. Churches in BMA defiantly don't believe you "merit" salvation.
@@MarshalZimmermanI’m aware of what RC Sproul says. I think he’s been a little generous with them. If you look at the Mennonites/arminian doctrine, it’s very works based. You need to keep doing works to keep yourself saved, they have no assurance of salvation in this life. You can lose your eternal life. The only assurance they have if they continue to do good works to be favorable to God. Does that sound like the finished work of the Gospel? He FINISHED His work on the cross, accomplished salvation for His people. We have assurance through faith alone.
@@Hark1677 And is James White to generous with Michael brown? It's not my intention to get into a theological debate or to discuss how biblically based Jacobus Arminius was or where the Mennonites (if it's even helpful to refer to them as a monolithic whole) agreed and disagree with him. I would just ask, brother to brother (assuming that you are since I don't know you.) don't be so quick. Gods going to judge ultimately and I pray for his grace alone to cover all of our shortcoming and "contradictions" that we all have in our theology.
There is no way possible, that catholicism is the true church. Its more like baal sunworship disguised with biblical names. AD ORIENTUM , obelisks etc...

Yes they are Armenian, not calvinist.

You've coveted a lot of denominations. I eonder how many of them think they are the only one that is Gods true church.
Im sue all denominations believe they true.
I think there is some truth in all of them, and also many errors.
Many do
Definitely legalistic. Their gospel is a false one.
How is it a false gospel?

Don't need any explanation of any Protestant Man-made denomination. Jesus created One Church, See Matt 16:18. All the rest are fake.

Isn't all religion man-made..? But that doesn't mean they don't have value.
Thanks for clearing that up, PokerMonkey. 😂
