Pretty sure this is flat-out the best bird hunting video ever produced, and I don't mean just on youtube. And I thought long and hard before writing that, then erased it not once but twice because nobody likes overstatement. But it's just true. Every single thing about it, from the spectacular cinematography (those drone shots, jeez), to the smart, deadpan, relatable narration (seriously), to the drama of seeing all those birds flush over and over in one of the most breathtaking hunting areas any of us will ever see. You always make incredible videos but this one is just way above and beyond. Respect.

Without question best chukar hunting vid I’ve seen, and trust me I have seen them all! Nobody captures what it’s actually like out there like you did in this one. Those birds chuckin all around you had me and my dog amped!! Great job and thanks for helping with my post chukar season blues!

So much nostalgia watching this hunt. My Chukar hunts were mostly on the lower Salmon, just north of Hells Canyon. Finally had to put my hunting partner of 13 years (my GSP - Taz) down last Christmas. Sure miss the old fella, and our hunts together. I'm 67 now, so think I'm done with those rough Chukar hills myself. Lot's of great memories though.

Such a cool video! Thanks for creating these Eric. If I can convince my wife that we need a pointer to hunt species of birds our flusher can't, I may be looking to buy a pup in a couple years! Haha, hoping and praying. I've got your website saved until then. Great work on these videos! I own a video marketing company and enjoy the highly produced hunting content out there, but have especially come to enjoy this style of "ride-along hunting videos". I feel like I learn so much! Whether that be from observing the habitat, watching how the birds flush (where and when) as well as how you approach them looking for shooting angles. It's just great stuff! Good work man.

I think this is a good point. Part of what I like about hunting, like most people, is more than just the hunt. Learn how to read a map, take topography into consideration, use all of the tools at our disposal such as areal view maps, allows us hunters to become well rounded and pass on skills to the next generation that are quickly being lost. When I use to take a trip we would pull out the atlas and map our trip. Now we just navigate. But prehunt planning such as researching locations builds that skill and is o so rewarding when we hit the mother load like you did on this trip. The adventure aspect of hunting is part of the draw for me and if locations are blasted over the internet I think it takes away from the adventure.
