The sack of Eregion will be wild, but I'm really looking forward to future seasons with the fall of Numenor, establishing Gondor, and the last alliance. Considering so much action that is coming between seasons 2-5 the set up season that season 1 was, despite the criticisms it received, was very necessary. Left or right is the question but the goodness a mankind will always shine through the evil that surrounds us tries to dominate and control Mankind will always break free and run wild and cause their own destruction without evil's help
This show has strayed pretty far from canon (the elves making their 3 rings with Sauron before the 7 dwarf and 9 rings of power were made for men, the stranger/ possibly Gandalf appearing in the 2nd age, the whole Adar plot, etc...) I'm really hoping they rein some of that in this season or at the very least come up with a creative storyline that makes all these new additions to the canon make more sense. What I'm hoping for is that maybe we'll see some of kings who go on to become Nazgul (like the Witch King or Khamul the Easterling). Lots of potential that quite frankly season 1 failed to live up to imo but hopefully season 2 starts to get the ball rolling.

Started watching Ep. 4... Let me guess... with Elrond (at the broken bridge) being male-ego stubborn, you're setting Galadriel up for her to be the hero later, because Elrond will be wrong, humiliated, and Galadriel saves the day. If you have to lower a man... you're not lifting up women; you're just being insulting to both. You're NOT using the Joseph Campbell "Heroes Journey" ideas for Galadriel... you're insulting that as well.
1) You must have made Season 2 this dark in lighting to try and hide you spent less money. 2) This (RoP) should NOT be a soap opera... it should be a story telling. 3) We waited 2 years for this?! Nothing really happens in the first 3 episodes. 80%+ is your established prequel. 4) You're wasting the talents of the actors on writers, who can't write. You have no story. 5) If they can write, then let them do so! 6) The 1 thing you got right was Galadriel finally showing some vulnerability and some humility. 7) Say what you will about Jackson's LoTR, but at least that Galadriel commanded respect she earned and deserved. 8) This is so disappointing. Everyone is watching it because we're actually routing for you... please STOP letting us down!
