    One of the best things about these videos is that we learn things at the same time as the presenter does. He also presents knowledge without pretending he is better than us. He even shows us his mistakes and is not afraid to be proven wrong. A very effective way of teaching and building trust. Thanks Josh.

    Hi! I've always had cheap, low psi PW in that past and each got the job done and lasted me 4-5yrs each. 2yrs ago I decide to treat myself with a more powerful, HD one and spent my hard earned $500(can) on that Simoniz Platinum so-called Heavy Duty 2300psi PW. It finally gave up last Friday a few days only after the 2yr warranty expired (and I don't use it in the winter time). It just died on me while washing the cars. Really disapointing. So I'm now on the hunt for a replacement. and looking for the best possible electric PW, that's how I bumped into your awesome reviews!! I like the time you take to detail every aspect of the tested machine. Easy to understand, very well detailed, and entertaining. Love it!! Thanks for this. NOW... I've narrowed my search to 2 models: the Dewalt 2400 and Ryobi 2300. According to you, which should last longer? Which do you believe I'll like the most? I use my PW to work around the house in spring time mainly but also yr round too, and to wash the cars and the family's mountain bikes. So it is being used on a weekly basis. Thanks for your input on this.

      @@imjoshv good afternoon. From colorado springs retired veteran here. Wanted to ask of which of the nozzle tips is safe to use on this particular pressure washer. This dewalt 2400psi is exactly the same as the 2400psi craftsman that I recently purchased. 40 tip nozzle is on but would it be fine for the 25 tip to use on vehicles as the psi tests are different per nozzle tip. TIA.

    Thanks for another great review. I was considering either this one, the Greenworks 300 psi or the Active 1800; The fact that you keep referring back to the Active 1800 for car detailing really has me going in that direction. I'd also like the get the Uberflex hose or the Flexilla Hose that you recommend but can't seem to find it in stock anywhere. Anyways, keep up the great reviews!

      For car detailing/washing i definitely recommend the active unit... But this one is a great choice as an all around unit. The hose says its back in stock n the 20th(which means more inventory is on its way), but amazon always lists the excpected date a bit later... So im sure they will be back in stock sooner than that! You can still order them now and they will ship as soon as they get them!

  • @gnarkill57

    It is a Positive Displacement Pump, so 3600 revolutions (RPM of the Motor) puts out the same volume of water regardless of pressure, that is right up until you overload the motor and the motor RPM slows down, then the GPM goes down. I would bet that if you put a nozzel that brought the outlet pressure right down to 10 PSI above you house supply water pressure you would still get a very similar GPM, +- a few %.

  • @luisfont6140

    Hi Josh! Great video! Quick question: the 40 degree nozzle outputs 1,150-1,200 psi and 1.125gpm. Is there a way to get the same psi but higher gpm with the 40 degree nozzle?

    Is it bolted or welded to its base?
    I ask this cause I planning to get this model, but I would like to take off the wheels and set it over a flat platform. This way I'd know of I had to make some cuts here and there or simply unbolt it.

      Thanks for the sub! The Dewalt is great cause it has the total stop system (so do the craftsman 2100 and 2400 - check out the vids i did on those) The ryobi 2300 doesnt have the total stop but its a durable unit. I would just go based on price. The dewalt and the craftsman 2400 get more psi but thats because of the nozzle. The Dewalt has the best wheels and would be easiest to wheel around so that may be a deciding factor for you!

    • @GSP-76
      @GSP-76 2 года назад

      Rather than gpm, if the pressure washer gives you consistently good pressure with your tips, that matters more. Cheaper units aren't consistent over long term use so you wind up having to work longer. I would say the cheaper electric pressure washers are more than sufficient but I'd would definitely buy an after market gun, get better hoses and good tips.
      For comparison sake, I bought a cheap electric washer that has all the lies on the advertising about pressure and gpm but I get a consistent 2100-2300psi with the included stuff but with my aftermarket gun and tips, I am getting just under 2400psi. I can clean the dirtiest vehicle in no time with a foam cannon. and wide tip.

  • @joeldubose5762
    @joeldubose5762 Год назад

    Heres the thing about testing the nozel size for gpm. Theres a ramp up period, where it goes from about 500 pounds hose pressure to max psi. During that ramp up period its not at the flow rait if max pressures. If you was able to measure the flow rait, after the ramp if peeiod, then you would know.

    Quick question say for instance I don't want to use the water hose from the house and I want to use a water tank and water pump mounted on my truck is this recommended for this type of pressure washer is it okay to go that route? If so do you have a recommendation for the water pump

    I purchased the DeWalt 2400 based on your UTube Video and I really like it.
    I also purchased the Uberflex hose, quick connects and hand gun that you link; however, I cannot get the linked quick connects to work to connect the Uberflex hose on either end to the Dewalt machine or to the gun. What am I doing wrong??? Are the quick connects you link supposed to work with the Uberflex hose? They work with the garden hose and wand sprayer.

      @imjoshv  3 года назад

      Hi Diane
      Did you get the adapter for the hose amzn.to/3aSf7Yc
      The quick connects should fit on the hose with no problem as they are an m22 14mm fitting like the hose. The Dewalt Pressure washer uses an m22 15 which is why you need the adapter.
      When putting the quick connects on the hose make sure to push it on before tightening. You have to get the little oring inside or the threads wont connect

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  3 года назад

      Im trying my best to remember. And in 99% sure you do not need the adapter for this unit. I believe its also a m22 14 so the aftermarket hose is a direct fit!

    Picked up this pressure washer today to replace a SunJoe SXP3000 that is three years old and leaking from pump. I have the flexible hose arriving tomorrow but wanted to give it a try. So used teflon tape around end of DTLR Foam Cannon I just got...put in 1.1 insert that was in bag in box....got it all hooked up....worked like dog shit. Couldnt get anything from foam cannon. Gonna swap out the insert tomorrow to see if I mixed them up during my haste to put together and change...as could not see any markings. My snub nose handle is due here Monday or Tuesday....what a disappointment. Wife is giving me that side-eye look for spending all this money and it not working. LOL Any ideas as I think it should have worked today with factory hose and attaching cannon to end of OEM spray wand handle...correct?

    Hey Josh, looking to purchase a electric pressure washer. You have did a lot of great reviews on pressure washers. I am wondering of all the ones you have tested which one would you buy personally for overall home use? I am not needing it for a detailing business, although I would like something I could use if I wanted to on my truck and wife's car. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks for the great info. GM BRO, the question again I forgot to ask you I got the short gun too by the way thx. In cleaning surfaces other than cars, like siding on houses or sidewalks or driveways what gun would I use the long one from the box or that short one? Also, I got a spray bottle for my soap for those areas too is that fine?

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  3 года назад

      You can use the short or the long one just depends on whats more comfortable for you! and a spray bottle to pre treat the area should work.. You just might get tired from pumping which is why i like pump sprayers amzn.to/3eSeVZu

    Fwiw it should say the Orifice size on the nozzle.
    Edit I thought you said you were going to try a couple other nozzles ? Active uses a odd size 3.7 mm Orifice. Im guess the Dewalts are 2.5-3’s ... try the Active 3.7’s .. will drop the psi to 800-900 but increase the GPM some.
