I enjoy watching these vids more than than the big name 4wd videos. Simply because of how they are recorded and not staged or set up. Keep up the good work buddy. Look forward to seeing more!!
Hey Ronny! I reckon you should do an episode on a Ford Ranger when you come across one since they are very similar to the BT-50 like you have already done but have some different things to do. Cheers!
Hi Ronny! Very interesting points that can be adapted to any car, though at this point in time my concern is a Navara ST-X that I would like to prepare for trips and be able to survive and get out of the Sh**! As I have had a request earlier about electrics in an other fantastic 4X4 feature, now I have similar one but how to DIY power points for the fridge and other accessories, connecting another battery and have both "talking" to each other via a charger, etc. Perhaps I am asking to much, but there is so much for me to learn (newby) and I found that you have good ideas to learn from. No flattery.
Just watched this video which I say is one of many great vids. Just a correction on the Rodeo being the last of the under bonnet Isuzu engines - thats not actually correct. There was some form of falling out with Isuzu over the name "Rodeo" that lead to the Colorodo version of the rodeo, however; the Colorado 2009 - 2012 from memory was actually a re-badged Isuzu D-MAX as was the rodeo to a degree. Holden then choose for what ever reason to go to a new model Colorado which was GMH and broke the bond between GMH and Isuzu.
I have a 2008 rodeo it’s identical to my brothers 2010 dmax same interior trim and front end engine ect.colorodo has different trim and front end lights and rear lights after the blue between Isuzu and Holden.the rodeo is a dmax more than a Colorado that’s a given..........
Ronny Dahl Just saying Holden still used isuzu engines after their split with them. They didnt make their own. Because in the video it said it was the last Holden with a isuzu motor and that they made their own after which isnt true. The only difference between the 07 rodeo and a 08-12 RC Colorado is the name and different body work from the A pillar forward. Sorry if i sound like a smart arse.
Ronny Dahl holden changed from rodeos to colorados in 2008 ( colorado was released in july i think). Isuzu then released the dmax with the Rodeo styling. I have a 09 colorado and the isuzu engine is also what sold it. keep up the good work. Hope to see heap more modified vids in the future.
@@karelvangeyzel6767 cool hanks for the reply. I'm running 265 75 16 on 16/8 as the shop wouldn't fit them on 16/7 factory alloys. Do you happen to know what offset your rims are. The factory alloys are +42 I'm currently on Zorro offset have read on Isuzu nation that +22 or +23 is the go for least rub. I have heated and really shaped my inner guards but still get rub at tight turn on uneven ground, with 3 inch suspension lift. Did you run a diff drop?
Ronny, I live in Virginia, US. With all the freedoms we have, and all the wanking ( is that the correct term .....?) Hey man what is the model of the turbo gauge and how is the install is it easy ect, I have a 2008 Holden rodeo diesel will it work on that and are they worth it cheers
I use bridle between two points on the bull bar. This was given the go ahead by arb when I had it fitted and hasn't posed a problem. I dont think it comes with a rated recovery point stock at the front
Hi Karel, I'm wondering how the standard diff ratios coped with the bigger rubber - did you have to change the ratios and if not, how do you go out on the highway, especially when you're towing? Cheers mate.
Hey Ronnie I'd like to know what air locker he has in the front. Is it an ARB one? Because I thought that with ARB you have to get the rear locker before the front. At least thats what my ARB dealer tells me.
Yes exactly Ronnie. I wanna keep my rear LSD and only get a front locker. Or do you think I should just go for the rear? My thinking was that since the front IFS on my truck lifts wheels more frequently the locker would help more there. Plus the weight of the engine.
I recently converted my Pontiac G8 into an HSV GTS E1....I plan on buying a 2016 Chevy Colorado next with 2.8 duramax Z71. I love Australia and would love to live there, but unfortunately the gun laws are really strict...so America will do lol.
St. Vick I know your comment is 2 years old, but, if you don’t want to move because of the gun laws, maybe move when you retire. Australia has tons of coasts and all and is a nice place, the best coasts are probably in Queensland and New South Wales. Also, that’s really cool what you did to the G8.
"So... yeah... cool... um..." Keep at it, Ronnie. Your speech needs some work mate. Maybe do a couple takes? Your on camera charisma needs work. But it's all about improvement. Chuck a smile in there, too. Just a couple suggestions. Thanks again for your efforts, enjoy the vehicles. Oh, didnt want to sound like a smart-alec. Good on ya for doing what you do. You've given us a lot of great footage. Greatfull. Thanks again.
Fair enough... I understand what you are saying... Just keep in mind with these walk around vehicles it's all done on the fly to keep it genuine and relaxed, last thing I want to do is be a fake TV personality (over the top smiling which is so salesman like). However I do agree with what you are saying on a milder aspect which I assume is what you mean... I'm learning as I'm going and will improve each time, that's my aim anyways... Cheers for the feedback mate :)

Have you been to America and seen their trucks, they are huge!! And the Chevy Colorado is I think from memory is a little smaller than the Chevy Avalanche? Anyways heaps bugger than our ra rodeos 😪
Exactly. GM Japan is Isuzu they are rebadged with several names. As I said. But they may have a Holden V6, if it's rodeo you won't find a alloytech 3.6 in a D-Max. Yes it's all GM.

Another Great Job man! I really like the mix of talking about the rig, but also the vid clips showing the off-road practicality.
Thanks Eric
These Rodeos and The Isuzu dmax that I have of the same era are great first 4wds for people wanting to start 4wdriving.
love the shape of the old rodeo and d-max. seriously contemplating one of these or a prado 120
woosa puss go rodeo, unless you have money to burn go Colorado best cars man
What an amazing video
I love the idea of the front camera. I feel pretty good now that I installed front and rear camera on my 2013 D40 Navara.... 😊
I've got an 07 deo, it's awesome front lokka, lift, diff drop ect, goes anyware and causes lots of looks of amazement, they are a very underrated 4x4.
I have a 1996 tf rodeo and I was wondering where to get a front diff locker from?
Love this car and the hands on approach. The front camera is 👍.
That's a simple, solid touring rig right there.
Awesome love the baby seats!
can we see some more rodeos and rangers or maybe a BT-50 cheers
Check out @dystopian_zu
Really cool rig. looks like hes got everything he needs. i want a lightbar like that.
Light bars are great and are very low in price now days compared to a year or two ago, best useful light for short range and slow driving in the bush.

Great vid guy. Just let you know the RA07, Colorado RC 08-12 and dmax all have the same diesel Isuzu 4JJ1 engines
Thanks for that info, I guess that's why the rodeo didn't have them after that and they changed to the Colorado or am I missing something else here?

What offset were the wheels with the 32"s Tyree's please? Having trouble getting the right rims for my ra
