I have made many duas for wealth and wallahi I have the intention to use it for good. But I must take action and I’m so glad for everything in my life so far as through it Allah has made the best form of myself in the present. I wish the most successful life in this dunya and the akhirah brothers and sisters.
Mashallah, keep at it akhi. The Prophet PBUH once described the types of people when it comes to the spending of money. The 1st is a very rich and wealthy believer who spends vast amounts for the sake of Allah SWT, and Allah SWT will reward him greatly. The 2nd is a man who wishes he has a lot of wealth in order to spend it for the sake of Allah SWT but has none to give, so Allah SWT will STILL reward him as if he gave away vast amounts for His sake (and that's because his intentions are honest and ambitions are pure). The 3rd is a man who was given vast amounts of wealth but spends it on haram, haram and more haram (drugs, women, alcohol, gambling, etc.). It will be written as a sin(s) for him and Allah SWT will punish him accordingly. The 4th and final, is a man who has no money, but wishes he had so that he could spend it on haram, haram, and more haram. And so Allah SWT will also punish him accordingly because of his impure intentions.~
I ask Allah SWT to make us amongst those who have a lot of wealth to spend honestly for His sake with pure intentions. Take care akhi ❤️
You know that you can do sadaqah not just from wealth? You can sadaqah every zikrullah you made everyday for your love one that already died or still alive or to anyone you wish to give. Not just money and belongings. That's how the poor gave sadaqah in Rasulullah period of time.
Probably that's why Allah test you with not being rich, because He knows what you would do if you had it, probably you are better being rich than being poor. Don't forget there is something better if Allah doesn't give you what you want. :)
Bless your soul. I'm just looking at it from a different perspective, because I also want wealth and I swear I'd be generous, but I'm grateful and thought about it this way, it make feel much more fulfill thinking about it this way.
What's the best method to get what you want? We have many ways, but what ways have you tried and it worked more than once?

O believers! Do not waste your charity with reminders ˹of your generosity˺ or hurtful words, like those who donate their wealth just to show off and do not believe in Allah or the Last Day. Their example is that of a hard barren rock covered with a thin layer of soil hit by a strong rain-leaving it just a bare stone. Such people are unable to preserve the reward of their charity. Allah does not guide ˹such˺ disbelieving people. (Quran 2•264)

@@why3579 no, Jesus said He was the only way to God the Father, no other. That statement is though all of history and the future. And John 3:16, is Jesus claiming to be the Son of God, and if that is not good enough Look at John 1:1, Revelation 1:8 and many other verses.
Jesus is God, thought his sacrifice God the Father is justified to forgive our sins and still be a just and holy judge.

In Islam it's easy for someone to sin yet it is also very easy for someone to be forgiven by God as long as you do it in the name of Allah. Beautiful religion.
Zakat (Charity) is very essential for muslims. Also Sadaqah is essential in Ramadan. That time also sadqah is not optional. It becomes compulsory
In fact, the five pillars of Islam are: alshahadatain ( believe that there is only one good and Muhammad is his messenger) /prayer / zakat which is compulsory charity as he said and haj (pilgrimage to Mecca if you were ever able to once in your life).

It’s Not The Quantity But The Quality 📌
It’s the other way round actually. I remember reading a Hadeeth, which I’ll look up, but in summary it states that it’s better to regularly give charity, than to do charity occasionally and give a huge amount. So essentially Quantity > Quality
The Prophet (saw) said “Take up good deeds only as much as you are able, for the best deeds are those done regularly even if they are few.’ (Ibn Majah).
He also said. “The most beloved of deeds to Allah are those that are most consistent, even if it is small.” (Bukhari).

If it's compulsory, then it's not charity, for charity is voluntary. _Zakat_ is alms, and _sadaqah_ is charity.
The Zakat is the compulsory charity which has a fixed amount but Sadaqa ia also compulsory but the amount is not fixed.
Giving is good
Some people make their life hellfire on earth.
The key is to have a strong emotional foundation, a sharp intellect and a sense of victory full of beauty. The power to transform and have drive, the love filled with spirituality and abundance and an understanding full of liberation. Seeing God face to face and having union with God is the supreme attainment we can achieve while being on earth.
This only goes to show how in Islam, that charity is compulsory and that it is a religion of mandated works.
In Christianity the motivation is love!
Love for God and love for our fellow man.
Our works don’t get us to heaven rather our love for Christ

Even smiling is a charity the prophet peace be upon him says : ( When you smile in your brother’s face, or enjoin what is reputable, or forbid what is objectionable, or direct someone who has lost his way, or help a man who has bad eyesight, or remove stones, thorns and bones from the road, or pour water from your bucket into your brother’s, it counts to you as Charity .”
Not every Muslim, only those who have a certain amount of money called (Nisab) and 1 year has passed where the wealth is above Nisab. Nisab is equivalent to about 87 g of gold. Zakah is 2.5% of that.

Here in Malaysia, zakat center has been corporated by late 90's. Till today, they will collect zakat but only partially give it to the poor and asnafs. The rest they will keep it as cash flow, donation to private hospitals, investments and businesses. There's a lot of poor families in this country but funds are limited. I find it hillarious that people here dragging Allah's name but in reality, hypocrites.
I sincerely advise you my dear sibling in Islam, and the advisor is not necessarily better than that who is advised, against dispalying that which might lead to a lack of gaze aversion in accordance to what Allah, The AlMighty, has ordained. may Allah bless you.

Fun fact: charity is actually is one of the Islamic pillars :D
So if you’re a Muslim and you don’t do charity, well your pillar ( the charity one to be exact ) will disappear. You see the 5 pillars are these pillars you have to complete. If your missing 2 or 3 pillars well then your house is falling apart. Yes, when you complete all of the pillars you will get a house in Jannah ( paradise)
I have almost completed all pillars except one, which is going to the Kaaba praying. I’m right now a kid so my parents have to pay for the flight obviously. But inshaallah I will go to the Kaaba and pray :)

In Christianity it doesn't force anybody to give charity but it does talk about how God does want the believers to give 10% of their earnings out of a trust to God but they are not forced to but if they don't give it then they won't prosper as much because With God's it's kind of a law that it's like a covenant that god had with the people that he promised to bless them if they do give 10% but it is not a forced thing on it and it's up to the person with their conscience in good standing They would want to give to charity because it's coming from their heart and not from a ritual that forces them to give without freely giving because humans God is about freedom of choice it's not about force and obligation and demanding without choice
The depth is missing. If it is compulsory then it is not from the heart. Of it is only for reward in the afterlife, then it is not a true charity

Their is no such a thing as compulsory charity.
Charity is something you give without being obliged to give and without expecting something in return
If you give charity to because you’re obliged it’s called a tax.
And if you give because you want to get some benefits in return it’s called a bribe
