Thank you for sharing. These slums are really terrible. It is so difficult to believe people are living there, some of them were acceptable, but many were very very shocking. The idea of having to walk alone in the dark at night after finishing work and no lights, and swampy water and maybe walking on planks is just terrible. We have poverty in Australia, and it is caused by greed, selfish behaviour, people stealing from the vulnerable and bad health issues. The poverty in Australia is man made.

What is incredible to me and hard to comprehend how did they get to this condition? Are they not the ones who created the rubbish, the garbage, the dumps by just throwing stuff anywhere and everywhere? How did the leaders of this country let their society get so out of control? Doesn’t anyone take responsibility and some blame go onto them for these conditions? I have to wonder if they spent as much time living in such conditions and contributed to making an effort to the cleaning up process, things could be better for them. I’m taking back by the ones that are walking around with cell phones. How do they afford that luxury? They live in slums but have a cell phone! What am I missing? 🤔😮🤦🏻♂️
Because of poverty porn, many foreigners especially even from neighboring countries think that the Philippines is like Haiti, Afghanistan, or Congo in general. Even if I hate it when we are stereotyped because of that, I am still glad someone does this and must be shown to the people in government positions. Having these scenarios means we have failed and moved backwards in many aspects; just because our economy is improving and we have first world level CBDs and beautiful nature spots doesn't mean we have become generally better. Keep doing this Sir, this is a big wake up call for better nation building!!!!!
