I had an idea to bring it back with updated graphics, as well as a stand for your company's custom trucks. I also had a thought of adding a clip of a truck entering a garage/showroom when your mouse cursor is above the garage icon.
i love to see this, i still remember the first times i played ets, with the fake truck brands etc, always had alot of fun with ets and now a few years later, i am real truck driver myself 😄

11 years later... Before and after. Well, my favourite one is Euro Truck Simulator 2. This is the best game ever, better than Euro Truck Simulator 1. My favorite truck is also in the game, it's Scania. Amazing video!
@@DarthDave573 OMSI 2 is an unoptimized, therefore trash performance shit with full of serious bugs while playing. The planned successor LOTUS's development is also only in a very early stage and it isn't advancing fast enough. So no, this wouldn't be the right way for ETS.

I can't think of a trucking game, that has the same level of simulation and feel as OMSI for buses. Yeah, it's buggy and broken, but that doesn't mean something like ETS 3 would be also as bad.

I wish there was ability to exit your truck to manually attach your trailer, to bring the papers to the dispatcher, to fuel your truck or to walk around your truck on go to sleep if you have 1-person bed upgrade on the back of your truck, something like in Construction sim 2015. That would be easily one of the best game

I'm 14. I started with Scania Truck Driving Simulator in 2012, then German Truck Simulator and UK Truck Simulator in 2013. That same year I explored other games like 18 Wheels of Steel and eventually got ETS2 v1.9. For the next 6 years I have been playing and gaining experience. I now have over a thousand hours on ETS2 alone, and I don't plan to stop.

Keep in mind at the same time that in the first ETS all places looked the same without being unique. In ETS2 all the DLCs give a different look for all the countries - and every single DLC looks better as technology advances and as modern PCs get stronger and stronger to be able to render more realistic environments. Compare Going East to Road to the Black Sea - you'll see why I said all of these. (And I haven't even talked about ProMods yet...)
