Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader #48 - Getting up to Speed

Yep. Nobody did a DAMNABLE THING while I was stuck in Comorragh for who knows how long. Apparently they searched for me, fine, but why in the name of Holy Terra did nobody continue developing or building up our colonies? Why are there gene cults, Warp Ghosts, and brainless automaton people running around the protectorate?
And why did nobody do anything about these until I showed up. I literally just got back from Comorragh and you people can do nothing but pester me with rumors. "Oh, Lord Captain, did you know that there are pirates in the expanse?" Nope. No clue. Not like I've killed dozens of pirate vessels already.
