- Scott Robertson has named his New Zealand squad to take on England.
The sides meet for two tests, on in Dunedin and one at Eden Park.
It’s a new era for both sides for varying reasons. So what does this side tell us about Razor’s All Blacks?
Half backs are going to have a good time with the size of that pack especially cortez and once roigard comes back geez
I was disappointed Sotutu didn’t get selected. But Sititi has shown his quality and deserves his position. There were others that missed out. But Razor had so many great players to choose from. We will see how he gels this team together. Be interesting to watch.
I’m also surprised about Sotutu didn’t get selected, maybe he’ll get a run later in the season. Do you believe the rumours he may be overlooked because of attitude in camp? Either way he’s had a heck of a season.
@@gtestastretta1 yeah that’s what I heard but who knows? Just glad the All Blacks have a team? Lol
This squad is only for England and Fiji so maybe for the RC.
Sotutu isn't that good at all, Yes is good in the loose and and great ball carrier. But in terms of doing the hard work he fails miserably.
@@oliverleigh9854 That’s a harsh statement and yet he played really hard all season in the team that won the Super Rugby? You can’t say that he did not contribute to the Blues success.
Good video and good team you picked.
Some of the blues/chiefs players may get a rest first week depending on how banged up they are ie i doubt they’ll risk Patrick Tuipolotus dodgy knee on Forsyth Barr’s hard pitch.
Conversely players from the hurricanes, crusaders and De Groot(only Highlander) will likely play more minutes early on so we could see them select the likes of Blackadder over Dalton, Williams over ofa and TJP will probably start.
The team for each Eng test will likely be different allowing for those factors and they’ll probably save the bulk of the debutants for the Fiji game.
Aumua and Ratima would be my picks as guys to watch out for in the Eng series.
Razor's AB's gonna be physical and deliberate. Captain Intimidator Scott Enforcer Barrett at the helm. To be the best you have to dominate your opposite. More than be competitive. Rather dominate. Classic AB.
Seems like everyone in Auckland are complaining about Sotutu not being picked.
Potential attitude issues are the reason. He has already posted on his instagram. The caption was “Most hated”
But my issue with Sotutu is he’s too flashy. His style doesn’t translate well into the international game.
Lazy on defence and doesn’t to the hard graft in tight
hes a show pony ... needs to toughen up.
He's been in and around the Abs scene for millenia but like Akira hasn't really put his hand up to the point of Cannot be Ignored did play decent rugby this season tho albeit behind a decent pack
Plus he's more of a starter and Ardie at 8 means piss all game time hahaha he's not picked for a reason
100% agree with you. Sotutu isn't a team player, he only really picks and goes when he's going to get over the line. He's lazy on defense and doesn't get up quick enough.
He had his chances in the Black jersey and he was average, couldn't stand up when required. I'm glad he's not in the squad. Scoring 12 tries doesn't mean automatic selection for a team like the All Blacks.
Sadly, your last sentence is on the money.Same problem I have had with Akira Ioane.
Tupuo Vaai part of World Cup squad, Easy start at 5
No.6 will be Samipeni Finau from the Chiefs
No. 14 will be Sevu Reece, the top try scorer of Super Rugby this season.
Even in a year of transition NZ still has a lot of depth cos I could name 5-6 players who should be in that squad not including the players who are injured.
Thoughtful comments Alfred. Can't wait it's going to be exciting great to see England have finally decided to play.!
With roigard and will jordan to come, this team will be fire. Still need a set center pairing but sititi will be a star. Excited
Those two are so good. Can't wait for them to be back in.
Razor has gone for size and grunt in the forwards and dynamic runners in the backs
Certainly with the front row,not so much the back row.Quite a small set of loose forwards.
@@richardscanlan3419 like I said size and GRUNT 😁.
@@Trajan2401 grunt in the front row,and to a lesser extent the second row.
Lack both size and grunt in the back row. Also a weakness due to lack of height in the backrow come lineout time.
We'll see how it plays out v England.
@@richardscanlan3419 I saw the weights of other loose forwards and they are no bigger.
@@Trajan2401 be surprised with that.
We shall see when we play those teams,I guess.
Excellent summary and I reckon you have pretty much nailed it.
Love was my preference to come in as fullback-his untimely injury may have kyboshed that. That is an area England might well target because all of the contenders are relatively diminutive.
I'd be horrified were BB selected at ten but it wouldn't surprise me.+
Where you have question marks is where most of us would insert them too.
The composition of the back row and wing showcase the depth the selectors had at their disposal.
Who they select might well be a pointer to how they want to play the series.
Lastly, with no warm up game(s) I think England might catch us cold. Great opportunity for your boys to upset the Robertson applecart.
DMac will be starting 10. Jacobson may have jumped Papaili for the 7 jersey. Finau will start at 6. Hope they can fit Sititi on the bench such a talent.
Dmac 10 for the first 40. Could play 15 in the second depending on the score line.
Tuipolotu, Jacobson, Clarke (11), Telea (14).
I think Allblacks are not ready just now no games, they could struggle I’ve got my hopes fingers and toes crossed for A 1 points win to my beloved Allblacks ❤️👍😎
Tuipulotu 4, Clark 11, Finau 6
Haha, Finau means debate according to RUclips translation. Very fitting. 😂
Jordan to come back later as well! Be good to get Richie, faianuka and fritzell back in 2025 maybe! Tuipolotu 5, Blackadder 6 and Reece on the other wing
The starting 15 likely will have 10 of the team that played in the WC final.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good team at the end.
Here's my 15.
Ethan de Groot
Codie Taylor
Tyrell Lomax
Scott Barrett
Patrick Tuipolutu
Samipeni Finau
Dalton Papali'i
Ardie Savea
TJ Perenara
Damian Mackenzie
Mark Telea
Jordie Barrett
Reiko Ioane
Sevu Reece
Beauden Barrett
Asafo Aumua
Fletcher Newell
Tamaiti Williams
Tupou Vaa'i
Ethan Blackadder
Cortez Ratima
Stephen Perofeta
Anton Leinart Brown
Yeah no that's not a winning team at all
That’s a good squad a lot
of pace mixed with dynamic forwards
5..tuipolotu 6 Blackadder 14 Clarke
Blackadder is there on past deeds as a crusader. Him and Bell are there by bias. But agree, Tuipulotu will be 4 and Clark 11. 6 will probably be Finau who is in form despite his bad final performance
@ae_marika.9551
If Blackadder is close to 90% fit razor knows exactly what he'll get has No reverse gear goes hard till the wheels fall off
@@rodeo4786 Too small, big heart, if only he had some Polynesian genes.
Glassadder is a reserve
5/ Tuipoloutu
6/ Blackadder
14/ Clarke
95% sure Razor will go with them...
Finau-6. Blackaddder-7. Savea -8. Jason Ryan loves these guys.
Blackadder won’t play 7
@@camwells9726 He plays 7 for the crusaders. Done deal.
@@DwayneTate-p3i if you look at the loosies picked in total , I think he’s been picked as a 6 ,him and Finau,
Dalton will play7, if Blackadder starts it will be at 6 I reckon
100% it will be DMac as 10 starting this year, barret off bench. Form 10 of SR and Barret went overseas for a year after playing second to Mounga for ~2 years, often there as a 15... I guess Dmac has to prove himself this year caus Razor is trying to remove all stops to bring back Mounga early
Also once Jordan comes back he will 100% be starting 15
After the wc results you haveto think 1 point seperates the top 5 teams 😅
Tuipolotu 5. Finau 6. Reece 14.
The All Blacks would never say ‘nearly beat France’ as I keep hearing UK commentators say. The sentence is ‘lost to France’.
Similar to All Blacks never admitting they were beaten by the better team. Instead, it's labelled 'Shock loss'. Kiwis cant handle losing
@@elscruffomcscruffy8371 with the winning % we have every loss is a shock, some more so than others. We hate losing and still say we lost rather than ‘nearly won’.
You cant handle the truth.
Tuiloluto and Barret as locks.
Probably Reece at 14, and maybe tele’a at 14 Clarke at 11.
Paddy start with Barrett and Vai on the bench to cover 6 and 2nd row, Finau at 6. DMac and Ratima 9/10 Chiefs combo. Barrett at 15 and Clark on the wing. That's my guess.
Scooter will have to learn discipline very quickly! Too many Red & Yellow cards for a captain.
He said he wants people who are great on both sides of the ball, but Tele'a is shocking on defense. Yes, he's improved this year but he's still a liability.
I don't care that Robertson doesn't select Sotutu but stop talking shit about why. Just say I preferred the other guy in that position.
What happens if the All Blacks struggle to win? Will the Kiwi public handle it well, or throw the same horrid treatment towards Robertson as they did to Foster?
Ardy will play 7 I think, sotutu was a bit unlucky, great ball carrier, and like Akira Ioane not so good without the ball. I think we will lose at least one test to England this year. McKenzie will play ten I think, beauden cover for 10 and 15. Tuipiloto for 5, Blackadder 6 Narawa 14 sotutu 11 perofeta 15
LEshgo
Vaai at 5
Finau at 6
Beauden at 15
Narawa at 14
Are my picks for the team
Frankly a joke Perofeta selected ahead of Love.
