FC 24 Sliders - Making Ultimate Difficulty More Realistic

- For many who play Career Mode on FC 24, and have played it for years on the FIFA franchise, there has been a massive gap between the ease of playing on World Class and the impossibility of playing on Ultimate difficulty. So after close to a hundred test matches since the release of FC 24, we've finally got the sliders you need to make Ultimate Difficulty playable and realistic.
Please note: if you like an arcade-style video game, these are NOT the sliders for you. These sliders slow the game down to a more realistic pace and will lower the scoring rate to reflect real-world football.
But if you are looking for sliders that will make FC 24 reflect the actual game you watch on tv, then these are the sliders for you.

I'm not usually one to comment on videos but I just have to say that this video should be part of the fc 24 installation folder. I was playing on my Gent career mode and I was up against Napoli in the CL groups the score was 5-3 and I quit it because I was so sick and tired of these unrealistic scorelines (I'd rather lose 1-0 than win 5-4, 4-3 etc.) I started looking for a solution online then I found this video and gave it go. Played the Napoli game again and lost 2-1 but the game felt way more realistic and enjoyable and I must say not having Osimhen fly past my defenders and score like he's on a motorcycle even though my defenders had like 5-6 meters ahead of him was really refreshing. Tested the sliders on the next game as well, which was a league game against 11th placed team and won 2-0 (which is realistic as you'd expect the league leaders to win 2-0 at home against 11th place in basically any league i guess). Game felt again a lot more realistic and enjoyable and I must say you really really brought back my desire for the game which was lost due to the lack of realism in the matches

i tested those sliders and they are fantastic. With your sliders on ultimate difficulty in career mode with real madrid i lost first game against man utd 3-2 and i won second game against Tottenham 1-2 (in pre season tournament).... thank you alot....
These sliders are brilliant, I was playing 3 minute - 5 minute halves before resulting in the shots being unbalanced in my favour (6 shots in a half for me and 1 at most for the opposition) i’ve gone up to the recommended mininum of 6 minute halves and this is good so far in terms of a balance, It’d be great to have a slider set like this for shorter halves maintaining the balance that six - ten minute halves have with these sliders, thankyou for saving career mode for us 👍

I love how AI cant score everytime and they also make mistakes in passing, very enjoyable playing, i recommend this sliders to everyone....
Just bought it today playing on ultimate scored2 3 goals against burley and they score 4 before HT😅 its so unrealistic are these actually good

hey guy, great sliders, the game has become more realistic, I noticed that the full-backs are helping to cover the defense more, and the defenders are no longer at such a disadvantage compared to the cpu attackers, it's difficult, but very well balanced and realistic, thank you bro.

today i lost with real madrid against athletic bilbao (la liga/career mode) with 1-2 and i won against almeria (la liga/ career mode) 0-4... sliders are really nice and realiistic, the gameplay is superb...
Thanks for the sliders mate! But is there any way to make my players slower and it wouldn't affect the gameplay or sliders you listed? And does the power bar for the user stays at 50 still?
The power bar is totally up to you. I leave it as is because that’s what we’re all used to. The only way to slow the players down is through the player speed slider, which I’ve already turned down pretty far but you can certainly pull back further on if you still find them moving too fast. I felt any further made them feel like they were in quicksand.

So I'm playing League Two with Doncaster. So far I'm wining every game like 2-0/3-0, just got knocked out 0-3 by Birmingham in the Carabao Cup which seems realistic cuz after all they are a championship team. I honestly like a challenge, so I might tweak the sliders a bit but for now it's okay. As long as I don't see unrealistic scores against bigger clubs.
Edit: I placed my comment before reading the settings, and now that I've adjusted the settings completely, I can honestly say it's so much fun and more realistic. It's 2-1 against Swindon at half time, 2-2 at full time. Kudos my man, it's really enhanced the game for me.

Scoring against Ultimate difficulty on career mode isn't the problem. Defending is.
You just can't mark them.😂
Anybody can score a freekick.
If you hold possession for too long, your player will mysteriously misplace the simplest pass just to give back possession to computer ai.
I am a casual player and my feedback is that I tried around dozen of matches, various teams from one star to five star international, various formations and tactics and matches seem pretty fine overall (I play on full manual settings so my gameplay is not so fast as on assisted). Defending with these settings seems much easier than with default. AI errors in shooting and passing are nice (maybe too much shooting so I decrease AI shooting error a bit). I would be interested in some gameplay videos from skilled players to see the difference from my gameplay style and pace.

Played a few matches with these sliders. Good sliders only thing i find wrong with them is the fact that it is too easy to make a clear run up the pitch
Appreciate the feedback. You could probably adjust the cpu line depth to combat that. Maybe the cpu marking too though that could have other effects.
I think after the second season it started to get a little easier. What settings do you recommend I make to make it more difficult? Btw I recommend it to other friends,if you don't have 300 hours in each game for 6-7 years like me and play at a normal level, I recommend you not need to change this sliders.
Absolutely, if you need it a little more difficulty I would adjust only the shot error and the gk ability. Turn your shot error up and the cpu down, and turn your gk ability down and theirs up. That’ll make the biggest difference.

Do you recommend Manual user settings? I enjoy the challenge and it's fun vs the CPU but playing online in games of FUT where the other players aren't using all manual it can be very challenging.

Out of curiosity what GamePlay settings do you have? They do add and reduce an element of difficulty too. Would be good to know how close the settings I am using are to the ones you have used for testing. Mine are mostly a combination of semi and manual.

Do this sliders work for manager career and the tactical view ? How does the AI behave when your not playing any player by yourself ?
They were build for manager career so they will work on there. I did not test them in tactical view but it has always been my understanding in past FIFA games that if no USER’s are active that all sliders are deactivated. It should run the simulation without their effect in the same way that when you simulate a full season in the main menu, it shouldn’t matter if you’re in beginner or world class.
@@pitchsidepub I played FIFA 23 with mods and both teams were controlled by the AI. I know hardly anyone does that, but I always watch the games. That's why I know AI very well. I always set the sliders for my team and the AI the same because I assume that if I don't control the teams the slider will have the same effect on both teams. I always play on legend and it worked fine. In FC24, the AI is very bad in defence. It acts totally illogically and also very passively. The tactical view doesn't work at all. At least 6 goals are scored in every game. Offensively, I think it's very good, but the defence consistently makes mistakes. They don't cover or the centre-back suddenly runs to the halfway line to chase the player with the ball or he runs past the player with the ball without tackling. It's weird and unplayable.
@@elitristan3601 very interesting. I can’t speak for tactical view but you’re absolutely right about the AI on defense in the regular game mode. I do think these sliders solve some of that by limiting the cpu ability on offense and raising up the user marking, though you’ll still get some goofy occurrences. That’s just EA unfortunately. But hopefully with these sliders the end results will be closer to what it should be.
it worked for thw most part did some changes to make it harder but they dont get any shots any suggestions to fix it?

Works like a charm in manager mode, but player mode still feels shitty. I'm winning every game like 4-0 with few assists or goals everytime. Is it possibile to fix player mode somehow?
Great feedback, I did not use these in player mode at all. That would probably take a whole new set of sliders, likely bc so much of Player Mode is driven by the game’s AI so if you lower it, it makes it way too easy.
Do these still work as intended, after the gameplay updates etc?
I still use them in my career and they seem to be working quite well. What significant changes have you seen since the update?

That one is totally up to you because it doesn’t really affect the difficulty that much. I left it as default but you can use whatever you are comfortable with.

Hi, for the most part the settings are good but only problem is opposition are not getting chances or shots. With Utd I won first 4 games without conceding by 1-0 or 2-0 margins. 5th game they had one shot and scored and I won 2-1.
Definitely harder to score but I never feel like I’ll concede. I have competitor mode on, player based difficulty on, playing tiki taka tactic and 6 min halves , any suggestion ?

I am playing these sliders on legendary, I only play career mode and I play maybe 60 minutes per day on average. I play w Arsenal and my first season record was 2nd place w a a few loses and a few draws won FA Cup very realistic loved it

Make sure when you’re testing it that you’re playing against teams of similar skill and quality. Against lesser teams it will be easier (just like real life). That’s one of the issues with the default settings - it doesn’t matter who you play they’re amazing.
I understand the point of this, but particularly about changing the balance between the sliders between the CPU and the player, isn't the point of playing on Ultimate difficulty for it to be as hard and potentially unfair as possible? So you have to use your skill to overcome it? Unless this is the case for all difficulty levels, I think if you want realistic from this perspective, then it would just be better to turn down the difficulty
So there's absolutely no right or wrong here. If you want it to be a difficult as possible and potentially unfair then by all means, go for it. I found it to be nothing but frustrating. I want a challenge, but an actual chance to win. I found ultimate to be actually impossible to win - like 0-for-hundreds of games. Blowouts every single time. For me, that's not fun. I address going down a difficulty level in the video - the next step down is World Class and I find that too easy. It's not really a challenge. I do want a challenge, just a manageable one that I can actually achieve some wins on. Essentially I felt the need for a difficulty level between World Class and Ultimate, so that's what I've attempted to create here, and I like a game that's more realistic and less arcade style, so I wanted to adjust for that as well. These may not be for everyone, but if you're looking for that sweet spot, I believe these achieve that.
just one post more: i beat atletico madrid with real madrid on their stadium 1-4... i am second on la liga table, i have one point less than ath bilbao...

Probably not. I’m guessing they would make legendary too easy.

Make it whatever you want. It doesn’t affect the difficulty level so it’s really just about your level of comfort. I left mine on the default.
Does anybody else's sliders and settings reset when they're controller disconnects on PS4/ PS5

How could I make it more difficult to score goals?
Raise the user shot error or cpu marking and gk ability

@@igorsaric10 depends on how easy you’re finding it to score, but I would only change it a few points at a time or else you’ll see dramatic differences especially if you adjust all three

Before you just laugh, I address this in the video. Legendary is too easy, ultimate is impossible. These sliders create a level in between while also slowing down the pace to create a more realistic scoring environment.

Are the camera settings the same by default?
When I play the opposition doesn’t have any shots
Something is off with one of your other settings then. In literally hundreds of games that never came close to happening. In fact I doubt I made it 10 minutes into a game without the opponent having a shot on goal.

I also play with Tiki-Taka tactics fwiw. And I get my fullbacks forward to join the attack and every defender “steps up”

I’m having the same problem too.Opposition doesn’t take any shots, I’m playing 7 minute halves and at the end of the game I had 19 shots and the opposition only had 2.
No. Ultimate difficulty does not need sliders ! It’s way to easy in this years version. Semi settings for all, I’ve got star players on and the “real person ai” thing on , and literally beating wolves with my rotational side like 4-1. It’s too easy to score and the new defending with shoulder barge is so effective. I’ve got the computers sliders actually jumped to make it harder ie , line height , first touch error and gk ability are all better then mine. This game is broken and gets boring
If you don’t need them, don’t use them. But you’re in the minority here my friend.
In previous years tittles it would take me 2/3/4 months to get ultimate d down pat. Not this year
