and some poor farmer in the middle of knowhere is still sitting in a bunker waiting for the all clear siren
+Aranok123 LOLLOLOOLOLO
Lmfao!!!!
A real farmer would not hide, he would make an even stronger siren to sound louder than this guy
Lol
Lol
A V8 siren, that’s the most American thing I’ve ever seen.
Will Clauß it's a hemi
Where do u think the brits got it from? lol.
That's what actually powers the siren....a Chrysler v8
@@andykay4554 yep was powered by a 331ci firepower hemi v8
I like the sound of that hemi Engine then the siren itself.
this is the most beautiful siren ever made....used to hear this on the last friday of the month in the LA area..it was such a haunting sound, and it carried for miles....
Can't believe they run that without mufflers. That engine could damage your hearing.
The siren tops out much louder than the engine... mufflers on the engine are the least of your worries! Wear plugs, muffs, and a motorcycle helmet on top of that.

What, no silencer? The neighbours could complain about the engine noise...
They would care less when the siren kicked on.
I bet they stopped caring about *any* noise, when that thing blew their Prius thru the wall.
@@jayswarrow1196 lol. yeah that too.
HOA violation
Screw 'em if they can't take a joke.
I love the sound that hemi makes when its revved up under load. Music to my ears.
Literally what I was thinking!
i've been waiting for full throttle, im dissapointed :(
Legendary Dogy everybody would have to be pretty far so people wouldn’t have their eardrums blown. This is the loudest siren recorded this isn’t a joke.

Me 2.
There's an audio recording of one of these at full blast from 6 miles away. You can hear it real well. Go to victorysiren.com
I love Chrysler Air raid sirens
What 'bout cars?
That’s a beautiful work of art, a hemi powered noisemaker
I love the sound of the v8 over the siren.
I’ve seen people full throttle, then pull the transmission down, and it W E N T F O R I T
I remember when I was a kid Saturday mornings hearing the testing of the air alarms . Brings back memories lol
Not sure where you got off to, but in my city they still do that.
Civic owners: hold my white claw...
>when the sirens you made years ago are better than the cars you produce today.
full throttle would have knocked down the people and the fence. This thing could set wood on fire from the sound energy at the horn output and be heard up to 25 miles away.
CrimFerret actually it turns rain into fog and starts paper on fire right in front of the horns. I bet with about 800 horsepower like the hemi in the hellcat it would destroy buildings or at least damage them
@@mm-gl7sz or at least blow out windows. The sound of this thing at a distance of several miles is amazing, but short of having property out in the middle of nowhere, you couldn't run it at full tilt. It's one thing to have neighbors complain. It's another to have people several towns over complain.
I love how someone walks _straight_ in front of it with their hands over their ears, instead of, just.... walking around?
chrysler hemi v8 powered air raid sirens....miss those things!!
NASCAR: We're the only people to use V8s
Chrysler: *Hold my gas*
Way before my time but still gives me goosebumps
I'm no expert and I know absolutely fuck all about these things but that is one seriously awesome piece of machinery.
That is a Chrysler victory bell siren used for air raids and other threats
One day I will own one and have it in my backyard!!
Ah good to see my alarm clock in action...
Lol
How do you turn the loud gas powered warning siren on?:
1. Open it’s engine door and turn the engine on
2. See that hand crank thing pull it to the other direction until it turns on
Very cool :)))
I could just imagine if James Pumphrey from Donut Media talked about this, he’d say something like, “Because what’s more American than a V8? A V8 POWERED AIR RAID SIREN OF COURSE!!” **Lightning strikes**
If Cleetus McFarland had one he'd swap a Texas Speed 427 LS onto it... Probably add nitrous or turbos also. I can see the video now: First GM Siren to reach 50 miles
Cleetus don't know sheeit.. ask ol Enis Mackelwayne out in Bama.. he put one nem God damn 472 interceptors in his.. blew the damn horns off and still made it 60 miles
Very interesting tone of an air raid siren
Man I’d love to get my hands on one of those!!
That thing looks completely restored. They Should Put it back into use.
We need more of these on youtube!
GOD THAT CRACKED MY COMPUTER SCREEN!!!
The Hemi itself sound's so cool, these used to be all over, some idiot pencil pusher made these obsolete so everything could be computer controlled mega phones.
Just this old man's opinion.
This is another one with the weird shaped horns. The only other one I've seen like this is the one Don Garlits owns, I wonder if this is the same one. I can't tell because we can't see his face, but that looks like it could be Don Garlits running it...
Nick'sGarageDoorService its horns may look weird and small but it's actually the worlds loudest siren
Release the clutch, shut off the engine, and then re-connect the clutch quickly, would it be possible that the engine re-ignites under the huge inertia of siren rotor?
wow chrysler dodge good for something...
that was back when things were made in america, not over seas in sweat shops at the lowest cost
Fire Falcon Chrysler vehicles are made in the US... their quality is not the greatest
This siren was made 1 year after the prototype Thunderbolt!
Guy in the red shirt: "Huh? I didn't hear it" **dies in the air raid**
simply beautiful!
Just thought I'd throw this in there. The gentleman controlling the siren is Don Garlits himself
That's sounds would make a person's blood run cold.
Its Don Garlits, he is a famous drag racer from the 50's and 60's. Look him up and contact him
It’s meant to run wide open throttle for 3 minutes
It sounds like a monster truck but if it had a siren
18hp??? that has to be the horsepower for the starter motor...
When he put his hands on the lever I thought it would blow
Chills every time..
You thought that was weak? Man, even standing behind that thing hurts your ears.
Misprint in the description....horsepower output should be 180, not 18.
It’s a Hemi !!👍🇺🇸🛠
That's one way to clear the cobwebs out of the house in Springtime!
You need a semi fuel tank for that thing. One of those 100 = gallon side saddle tanks. Polish it all u and mount it near the raiator. Leaveing enough space to keep the Hemi cool. DId you do any of the restoration work your self or did you hire it all out? A Chrystler Hemi air raid/tornado siren now thats super cool!
This just proves that american V8s sound amazing, (and yes I do mean when you take the siren sound away.) I'm English and we do have a few V8 engined cars left, but these high torque low bhp V8s make a great exhaust sound when they are reved.
Wow such a change from then to now
My alarm in the morning..
I didn't know that Chrysler made sirens as well as cars, the only thing missing would be for them to make boats with a V8 HEMI
Old bastard didn't give it all I was waiting the whole time for full throttle siren
You realize how loud this thing is right? That would destroy everyone's ear drums this thing isn't a joke
Look up the air raid siren Don Garlits cranked up in his museum. Says it can be heard for 20 miles sround
It's just a Typing Style I use. In any Grammar or Vocabulary, the Capitalization of the beginning letters of the word does not change the definition by any means.
MaxxFordham, hopefully I have answered your question and to anyone who have the same question.
In fact, I've seen some other Individuals starting my type of Style Typing within the You Tube Community.

Hey I was reading you info it said 18HP@4000RPM 331 hemi 1952 sould be more like 180HP@ 4000RPM I would think . But very cool :)
Sounds healthy!
put on sound canceling stereo headphones and turn your computer to MAX volume for...half the effect!
the power of siren blows that tree away
The nerve of this guy running that Hemi with open exhaust and no mufflers....
Have you ever been to an automobile racetrack?? With 50 cars at full blast?? Would drown out this historic siren!🙁😔❗
When you stop the video , but it still going
Love it!
The engine exhaust and air intake sound is higher than the siren it self ... m in love with this V8
Are you kidding? Watch other videos. The siren is almost quiet sounding by the time the microphone picks up the engine with no muffler at high rev.
And that wasn't even close to full power
Yep, a peice of art.
Great video. Too bad he didn't get it up to full speed.
@vegaracechic24
Besides the Don Garlits museum being located in Ocala, E-One's located in Ocala, and they make fire apparatus to this day!
i wounder what the chopper looks like
And that is only 1/4 of as loud and 1/2 as pitched as it can get.
Must be the only chrysler that's reliable
Would love to hear that after a shot of nos....or perhaps a turbo
Record down to rotor stop.
I would stand in front holding ears closed to feel sound waves in chest.
Where is the 5.9 Cummins version?
The engine is louder than the siren
go to Fort Macartur in SoCal and you will here a victory siren and I think a 500AT or FS SD-10
Yes sadly I have 2 more chrysler to mark off the list, The one in rockford:gone. The one ontop of the city hall in kansas city:gone. Good news though! The one on the US army records center is still there! Im working with some people to get it taken down and restored!
crazywarriorman got anywhere with that one at the records center?
What about the one in Rochester NY? Is that one still there?
138 decibels at 100 feet and idiots are just standing there with ears uncovered imagining they look something other than idiotic.
138 decibels right in their face but their ears are blown out
Chrysler not the loudest
It’s the P-50
150db
@@therailcat9790 that's not true
@@therailcat9790 it's 135 decibels
That would make a bitchin boat motor.
Are these the big or small block?
victory siren by chrystler
Scott Gibson only the engine is by chrystler the siren is by bell phone company
@LNERMallard There is 15 left in exesistance
Bet all the bull cows within an earshot got stiffies.
Grandpa using " Grandpa of Siren "
when the vtec kicks in
MaxxFordham, it's mainly for emphasis of the word or words being used.
The funny thing about my Style Typing is that when I was reading {The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution} by Cato Institute, I found that I have a similar way of Style Typing from just that Literature Reference book. Not every word was Capitalized but the Majority of it was Style Typed like if I had written it.
It's weird in a kind of way, go look into it. I kid you not.........

That hemi sounds nasty when he revs it up.!!!
I've heard and seen this many times
i love that motor
siren horn sound like a subaru impreza
wow
Imagine those who didn't read the newspaper that morning. Jesus
Hey, 150Spoke9, thanks for your response.
Oops, ya Missed some Of Them this Time! What's happening To You?
I know it doesn't change the definition, and I know this isn't a grammar class, but it still isn't exactly correct (except for titles--at least with the prominent words in a title). Why would you like to have a typing style like that?
That sounds like a ship horn
Is that a Hemi?
Better with supercharger
Edit:using the drag car exhaust pipe
