I think I’ve been conditioned like a dog cause the Jamaaliday theme has been stuck in my head all month and I haven’t played Animal Jam in at least 2-3 years
To see the game start from beta to it's ending is truly something else....I remember the release of the carnival, diamonds, membership, phantom run, half of the islands still being under creation... I wish I had people to talk to about my childhood with man-
I miss this era, I tried to play it again on both pc and mobile multiple times but honeslty I just force myself at this point I can not go back to this 😔 especially when u don't have friends and everything is so empty I loved every seasonal updates this game had omg
I remember this game’s announcement appearing in the mail in 2010. My parents wanted me to play it since it could educate me about animals. I loved the animals arriving, and when the pets arrived. What a time… I still play AJPW since it’s more efficient for my day-to-day life now, but man, I will forever miss and love AJ Classic.
Honestly, it's kinda disrespectful that they'd call it "Classic" and not still Animal Jam. The new game is already named Play Wild, they should've stuck with that and not thrown their original, iconic, beloved game into the gutter as if it's some fading memory to be replaced by a newer game. Wildworks already butchered FERAL, and now they're slowly ruining Animal Jam :/

I was so devastated when I found out my account was gone. All of my animals and rares :( I was an og. 12 yo me got my ma to spend money on that squiz lol

Man I remember when the diamond shop first arrived. Crazy how fast time passes huh? I still pop on once in awhile just to see how the game is doing :) Peace and love y'all
Play Wild or Classic, there's two versions now. I'm sure most still prefer Classic thanks to nostalgia, but anytime I've logged into classic in the last 2 years it's been rather lonely. Thus I prefer the current (play wild) one, it actually has accounts that update their shops and gets monthly updates that are much grander than classic. Though it has been getting lazier recently, with all the reskins of animals, like arctic wolf got 3, coyote got 1, red panda got 1, flying fox got 1, ect. It's pretty pay to win as well, since they added the premium shop (paid for with real money) , the only way to get certain dens, animals, clothing items, den items, potions, wishing coins, or dinosaurs unless you wanna pay 5,000 sapphires for 1, and have nearly nothing else. Sometimes I wish I played classic more often when I was younger, maybe then I would enjoy it more and understand the hype for that one better. I'm sure it was less corporatized, and had a way better player economy. Then again rares and betas would have been difficult for me because I'm just not very social with people I don't know in video games.
@@TearfulZorua I think it's clear less care is put into Classic now, sadly. But even Play Wild is losing its luster with all the pay to own items and exclusive member stuff. It's feeling a lot more greedy these days ):
I remember playing as far back as when the Arctic Wolf first came out, and the Christmas events were my FAVORITE I adored this game so much as a kid, it was so aesthetic and comforting to me. It truly isn't the same anymore 😔
