- For the next few weeks i will be showing some of my vintage razors to hopefully inspire others to take up wet shaving.
Not just vintage straight razors but other DE and SE razors in my personal collection. These razors inspired me to try them and hopefully it will inspire you one day.
Jose Monserrat Pou Filarmonica, my first straight razor bought while on Holiday in Spain 40 years ago. Imagine the cost of replacing normal blades over this time? Great investment.
Great shave, beautiful razor. We all remember our first scar.
Fortunately all the scars have healed, but i still nick myself occasionally when i am being a bit clumsy LOL!!! 🤣😎🤠
That's a fabulous first razor. i went with a cheap vintage Dovo to start because i didn't know if i'd stick with it. HRH thought i was a crazy bugger when i'd leave the bathroom looking like an extra from 'Carrie.' But i'm stubborn!
i can't understand anyone paying that cash for cartridges. which give a worse shave than i can get with a safety razor, shavette or straight. i shave my head with an R41, so they're pretty easy to master with a bit of care.

As you may imagine, after my first experience with a straight razor, HRH called me a "bathroom blood donor". Still remember that comment, but hey-ho, you live and learn by your mistakes with everything in life.
