    This to me was the greatest machine ever. I was in the 77-82 crowd and moved onto video games like everyone else at the time. Love this machine. 10/10

    i was in technical school right out of boot camp in 1980 in Chanute AFB in Illinois. In the lower basement of our squadron was a Rec room and had one of these in there. Funny thing is, it was the only machine in there that if you didn’t play it, after a while it would say stuff and i could swear it used to say “Me Gorgar…Me Hate!”. lol

    I remember Gorgar's heartbeat would increase the closer you got to Specials, which would make mine go up as well.
    'Gorgar, me beat you.'

    I loved this machine growing up. I lived in the arcade. I'm actually looking to purchase one if I can find one. Thanks so much for the video and memories!

    I just played this one at a lil vintage arcade the other day. I also had a nostalgic moment playing Attack from Mars, from my childhood,when the last of the Williams pinball machines were made. Also got to play one of the machines (Evil Knievel) my dad remembers playing often at his local arcade back in the day.

      Absolutely ! Hot summer day riding our bikes, go to my buddy’s parents store swipe a couple rolls of quarters and head to the alley. The air conditioner was always cranking in the bowling alley, most lanes had a lot of games too. Man you took me back to 77’-82’ish. Rode my 79’ IT175 to high school until I could drive. Sorry to ramble, I just miss those times.

    This pinball was right smack in my "golden era" of pinball, but I just never found it any fun. I found Flash (before) and Firepower (after) infinitely more interesting, fun, fast, and exciting. I put a ton of quarters in this thing as a kid, because it was unique for its time (and because the notorious side drains made you feed the machine often).

    BTW, I see a lot of Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo ripoff in the artwork, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.

    That took me back to 1980 hard when I heard the first 5 seconds!! I must've put 40 or 50 bucks, of my parents money, in this machine over a year at Pops Arcade. And after the last ball, you wait to see if you matched and got a free game.

    So I was just playing this table in Pinball Arcade on the PS4. Nice simple fun game but the ball movement seemed a bit too crazy to be real. After watching this video I stand corrected though! Jeez, those bumpers really are that strong, huh? Thanks for this excellent showcase.

    How Many Ball Can You Make Gorgar Have?

    • @727PENGO
      @727PENGO  5 лет назад +2

      There is no multiball feature but you can set to five balls per game.

  • @peterhudson5748

    Didn’t this originally have a strobe light up top?

    • @727PENGO
      @727PENGO  4 года назад +2

      No Gorgar did not have a Strobe Light. Bally's Flash Gordon was the one that had the Strobe Light located behind the top of the backglass. I also have a video of that game as well.
