When I was about 13 years old I held the highest score on this machine in Don Carter's Bowling Ally (now Sawgrass Lanes) in Tamarac, FL. This is by far my old time favorite.
Played this alot in the arly 80's with a friend who was also quit addicted to it. Funny thing is, during all those months I thought I was hearing "pendition" instead of "condition"
This is one of the best pinball machines I have ever played I used too kick this machines ass back in the day at the Arcade I wish it was available to download through the App Store or anywhere for PC. I guess Im gonna have to save and get the real machine someday? Thanks for sharing this it really took me back :)
One of my favorite pinball games. I recall that the background noise in the game was also used in Gottlieb's "Mars." Unlike "Blackout", "Mars" had multiball, but no speech.
love it! I have a wms sys 7cosmic gunfight in my basement. play everyday. 77-90 were the pinball years if you ask me. from gorgar to black knight 2000 before and after are good, not great.
ronald black those are all great! Firepower, one of the hardest games ever designed. Xenon has the best speech for its era, and Flight 2k has some of the best gameplay and the most interesting multi ball. 1980 was good!
Does the speech ever get cut off mid-sentence? Almost as if the sound board can't handle two sounds at one time, or if a sound comes right after a speech call out? My Blackout will do this occasionally. A speech call gets cut short.
Speech calls should not get cut short. My guess would be that you have a connector or sound board issue. I can recommend a board repair guy if you're located in Canada.

Love the Gorgar sound effects, what a fantastic Pinball Machine. I used to really like playing this one.
Holy crap! Forgot about Gorgar for 40 years... until NOW!
I put many a quarter in this machine back in the 80s... LOL!
One of my favorite pinball machines!
I used to play this one a lot growing up in the arcades, I'm 39 years old and still remember this machine, I loved it.
Me too. I played this game a lot and a few times I turned the score over (scored 1,000,000) This game was one of my favorites back in the day.

I believe Mars had speech, too. It starts with the game telling the player to Prepare for Battle.
@@aflhabalafhabab You're right! I somehow don't recall that.

Wait, did Gottlieb steal the background noise of this table for Mars: God of War?
Yeah very similar sound!
The best flipper.
I thought that the blackout effect was cool.
What's the name of the pinball machine, to the left of the Blackout machine?
+badreality2 That's a 1978 Stern Lectronamo. Great game. My personal favorite. I've owned it for many years, longer than any other machine.
I not sure I play this pinball.
Tengo una pero se le ha ido la CPU, alguien sabe como conseguir una CPU para poder repararla?
Gracias
