    "That's what dad's do. Pass the best of themselves to their kids". I want to live by this motto. My boy is 3 1/2. This guy is awesome.

    One of the best documentaries that I have seen. As a parent. As a man. This one will humble you. It's just that good.

    I’ve never seen this, but I am inspired to watch it ASAP as I watch Gleason receive the Congressional Gold Medal. Congratulations Steve from Viking country!

    I feel so ashamed for what i wrote below.....maybe there was a reason i saw this film at this, so a low point in my life......I am sure Steve would tell me to buck up and get busy and i am going to try and do that with whatever the rest of my life has in store for me and try my best to keep a positive attitude which is so hard for me to do given my illness .........this film has had an extremely profound effect upon my life......words couldn't tell you so.........thanks so much for making it....you are an unbelievable inspiration. !

    One of the best docs/movies I have ever seen. So inspiring. Anytime I feel down or think life is tough I put this on and instantly get reminded how lucky I am. Him being a friend or guy I could see myself having a beer with at the bar makes it even more relatable. The real footage, the real life struggle, the real life point of view thoughts is just amazing. If you have thought about watching this, stop thinking and do it. If you are a parent...you will cry.

    This was an amazing story of a families life that was faced with one of the most difficult diagnoses that anyone could get. This mans story has inspired me to live life better each day with what is given to me, to appreciate what i do have such as the ability to freely live without any true hardships. I can honestly say that I wouldn't have the determination or courage to life like this man has lived with this crippling disease. He is a true fighter. Have tissue when you watch this, It can bring out emotion in even the toughest person. Amazing story and very well put together.

    As a die hard Saints fan, I'm ashamed to say that I have never owned a Gleason jersey. I've been saying I need to get one for years. I will finally be adding one to my collection soon.

    Better off as a biopic. I like to leave the theater with a warm feeling rather than being sad about someone that will later pass on shortly after filming.

      You can't make it into a biopic because it's difficult to do. Besides, even when he passes, you would still be inspired to live like you were dying.

      Yeah man! Why would I want to see the real life events as they unfold with the actual people effected when I could watch some actor pretend to be in a wheelchair just so I can go home feeling all warm and fuzzy right?

    • @davidbuswa9425
      @davidbuswa9425 7 лет назад

      Matt Static The makers of this film have attempted to make this a live-actio movie. Besides, nobody watches documentaries. The producers will take a bath funding this subject This subject matter will be forgotten in the annals of time

      David Buswa I mean, all of your points are fundamentally wrong. But I don't want this video to have a gross and negative comments section so I respect your arguments.

      Matt Static There is nothing wrong with what I posted. Docs make no money, at least films you can break even. Geez, Gleason has a horrific disease, he at least is worth a movie based on his life and portrayed by a Hollywood actor
