Excellent step by step tutorial. I couldn't have changed the battery in my door opener myself without having the good fortune to view your very instructive video. Thank you!!
Thank you for this very thorough tutorial! This is my first time changing a battery in a garage door opener, and your video was very helpful. Thanks so much!
Thank you for this helpful tutorial. My first battery change with this remote and the instruction manual does not give any instructions on changing battery. I would never have known to pry off the cover as there is not indentions of any kind to give a clue. Thanks again for the help,
Thanks! I would not have known how to change the battery otherwise. I drove 120 miles from my house in L.A. to my house in Palm Springs and was afraid I would not be able to get in. I had a spare garage door opener in the house, but I had to get into the house to get it, and I did not have my house keys. However, I do have a digital lock on the front door, and so I keep the security door unlocked so that I can access that in an emergency, or let workers in, if necessary, but the batteries on this lock go bad in an extremely short period of time. Fortunately, this time the door lock batteries were not dead, and so I was able to retrieve my spare garage door opener. I took new batteries out of my bathroom scale, tested them, and found a good one to put in the other garage door opener I had to use a sewing machine screwdriver to open it, but that worked!
Today I had the same experience, but I have new batteries and put a new one in instead of one from my bathroom scales. It seems that these batteries do not last long either.
I may or may not have thrown my remote at the ground multiple times out of frustration trying to pry the damn thing open with my fingernails. This video did wonders at lowering my blood pressure, so thank you for that!
Thank you so much for this video! I was locked out of my house because the keypad for the garage wasn’t working, and it was around 25/30° outside. For some reason I’d never tried sticking in my scissors and twisting like you show with the screwdriver, and I kept simply trying to push/pull down on the battery case. Twisting allowed me to open the case and get the battery out. Turns out it died, but help came 30-ish minutes later. Battery now replaced and I have more knowledge on how to open compartments. Thanks again!
You explained it very well. I was frustrated at first but listening to you voice as you explained how to replace the battery calmed me down. Piece of cake after you explained it. Thank you.
I just noticed that this remote when the cover was opened, has the codes available, if I purchase the same remote and assign the same code to my new remote. My new remote will work, correct? Because I have no idea where the learn button on my house gate is

Mine looks the same but no indent for a screwdriver. Pride open with a knife, pushed the battery out with knife.

I followed your directions and replaced the lithium battery, but it still didn't work. Do I need to reprogram it?

Thank-you for a informative video.
What is the name and type of battery for this garage remote? Also, where will I get it from?
Lithium 3V. Hardware Stores normally carry batteries like this.
A lifesaver! thanks!
Thank you! It works
Thank you!
THANK YOU!!!!!

Thanks
Thank you
nice!!
there is no slot. They were too lazy to actually design a slot, so we basically have to break it to get anything into that razor thin crack
😂
