- Was looking for a new sailboat. This was a Pacific SeaCraft Orion MK II 27ft that the broker was showing me. Pretty nice boat but I did not end up buying this one. Video was recorded back in 2011 I believe in California somewhere.

Yes it was pretty sweet. Almost wished I would bought that one. But the Island Packet 27 I got was a pretty good boat too. Thanks for the comment.

Yeah, I know.. This was recorded a long time ago before the stabilizers where so readily available. I was just holding my GoPro Hero 2 with my hands.
I’ve been looking for this boat for a while.. why did you end up going with the Island Packet?
Honestly the Island Packet checked all the boxes. They are well built boats that are still in production to this very day. It had everything in it that I was looking for. I wish it was a bit bigger but at my price point at the time it worked just fine. The Pacific Seacraft was a close second I will admit. If I was going to do it over again, I'd go for some type of catamaran these days. Thanks for the question.

Correct. It's not that it "feels" really small, it's that it IS really small.. hehe. I lived on that thing for over two years. At first it was fine but after a while, the walls start to close in on you so to say. Small can be a good thing with respects to prices of slips, haulouts, and such but I just wanted more space after a while. No real way to get away from anyone else on the boat with you, which is why I said I'd go with a catamaran if I was to do it again.
