All those swirl marks are from the Tesla "Detailers" at the dealership using old used up dirty microfiber towels when prepping the cars for new car pick ups. I've color corrected many Teslas and wanted to find out what was going on at the dealership. Walked on the backside of the Tesla dealership and saw the "detailers" wash new cars for new customers.....smh.

So, for everything that you did on this model three what do you charge and how long does it take?

Interesting that it is a hard paint, I have just heard nightmare stories on working on Teslas super soft paint, from detailers.

First class work. On a different note, how can such an attractive car on the exterior be so utterly plain on the inside. It has absolutely zero character.

I coated my own Model 3 Highland 2 weeks ago. Nice to see a pro do it, with much more attention to detail.
I have a blue one and only washed it thoroughly. So no polishing at all. I have a RWD and those are only washed and "waxes" with liquid, so no real wax. Therefore that was easy to take off and my paint also seemed to have been in better shape than this grey one. Btw: shocking to see the color difference between the bumper and the rest of the car!
I used Gyeon MOHS for coating. My garage is too small, so had to do it outside. However, because MOHS cures so quickly, I felt really in a hurry. Nevertheless the result is amazing.
My MOHS came in a kit that included Gyeon Cure (sealant). I used the Cure on the rood windows only, as I have bad experience using Rain-X kind of stuff and want to try this Cure first. Will see how this works out, so very interested in your experience with that glass coating.

I’d love to see this with an ultra red color car. That color is beautiful. No better red out there I think, next to Mazdas red.

Hey how much percentage would you say of a typical car do you use the 5” / 6” vs 3” vs 1” / 2”? TIA

    • @OutofSpecDetailing
      @OutofSpecDetailing  3 месяца назад +1

Very much car dependent. I use 6 inch & 3 for cutting, 5 inch & 3 inch for polishing. Square footage wise I obviously use the larger machines more, but time wise almost equal if not more with 3 inch machines

How do these new cars get so scratched? Does it happen at the factory as they put the car together? Does it happen during transport/delivery? At the dealership? I'm so surprised at the amount of scratches for a new Tesla or any car for that matter?

Nice, but 40hrs sounds a bit much for a extra 5% correction which is barely noticed and lost after the first wash by the customer ;)

24:38 nothing about the Model 3 is "under the radar". Seven years on and they STILL stand out in a sea of ugly, bland SUV's. And I see a ton of them where I live.

ATC arrogance is at an all time high. Female controllers are the worst. All this “I’m a boss-girl now” bullsh!t is gonna be the downfall of the airline industry.
The advent of RNAV departure and arrival procedures has made the situation worse, since all the responsibility and complexity of flying in the terminal area is on the shoulders of the pilot. ATC doesn’t control air traffic anymore.
It’s takes time to load an RNAV DEP procedure into the flight management system, because they are very complex lateral and vertical procedures that are runway dependent.
Often these procedure must be manually built, not just loaded from a database.
ATC cannot issue a runway change and expect the pilot to just be ready to go in seconds. It’s got to loaded, verified, cross checked, etc by the pilot, BEFORE they launch down the runway. If the airplane flys the wrong way, guess who’s in trouble. Not the arrogant chick in the tower.
There a big damn difference between sitting in a tower cab, where your life and death are NOT the consequence of your actions.
Nobody wants to hear your dismissive impatience broadcast on the radio..
