    I love that you include not only the measurements but also where to place the tape to get the right measurements for yourself! I have no idea how to sew and wouldn't have the first clue where to begin. But your tutorials are so beginner friendly! I love the skirt/pants! They look great!

    Great tutorial. Staystitching curves before sewing (a line of regular stitches half a centimetre from the edge) will prevent the fabric stretching out of shape as you sew.
    Four belt loops could be useful. Position halfway along the waistline between each seam. 4 of 4cm x 8cm rectangles should work. Seam along length. Trim seam. Turn tubes and press. Pin one end of each in place before adding waistband. Pin on waistband folding loop over waistband before sewing on waistband. Adding a narrow belt when worn will make them look more finished and expensive.

    Just made it and it's such a cool flowy skirtpants! I love it, thanks so much for walking me through it! Tried it on some random leftover cotton, will definitely remake it with a fancier fabric. I did get in trouble with the measurements, I followed it all but had to put in 2 side pieces to make it fit. I think my fabric was slightly smaller than 2m (how wide was yours?) so the folding method went a bit wrong, I don't know? But the side panels actually really look nice so I might even keep it in the next one. Cheers from The Netherlands!

  • @SWilliams-01
    @SWilliams-01 2 года назад

    Hi I was going to make these for this weekend but I am totally confused on how you folded the fabric before you cut it. I know you folded the the length up to the width making a triangle, marked it and then cut it out then cut it in half. But that seems like it would only make one leg worth. Was the fabric folded in half first and then folded in a triangle so you end up with 4 total pieces?

    • @SWilliams-01
      @SWilliams-01 2 года назад

      Never-mind! I figured it out. I thought you cut the fabric in half but you didn’t… you folded it in half and then made another like it for the other leg. The part at 3 min 50 sec goes so fast I thought that you cut it into two pieces.
