I recently met someone who was on the LAPD, and knew Ken. He was not aware that he had passed away, and was sad to hear that, but said that he was a genuinely nice guy. Thanks for the video!
@@jdsundstrom Ken Appeared on Happy Days late in it's run on TV when Marion's Nephew Roger was introduced and Roger got a job as the Principal of Patten High known as a rough school with trouble making kids................. in a episode Roger gets the job he meets a Teacher (forgot the name of the teacher) who was played by Ken Osmand he played the Teacher as a Eddie Haskell type character.
Ken Osmond was wonderful. It sad that he’s no longer with us. I’ve recently binged watched Leave it to Beaver a few times these last couple of years. I love that show. Now I’m onto the Dick Van Dyke Show which I’m thoroughly enjoying. But I’ll always go back to the Beaver. Thanks for sharing. Another great song!😊
I like that song about Eddie. The real Ken Osmond sets us straight! Nice cameos from Jerry Mathers and Tony Dow. If Ken Osmond were here today, he’d say “That was a lovely video, Mr. Good Stuff!”
Great timing for your video! I just met Jerry Mathers at a signing event in Saugus Mass on Sunday. Jerry still has one hell of a handshake! And Eddie kept coming up in our conversations while we were waiting in line. RIP Ken!
Funny thing is when Tony Dow did TV in the 1970s I think he made it a point to play nothing but villains. “The mod squad”, he played a bad guy in the TV show “emergency”, he played a bad guy, get the point? Playing against type!
To play such a dirty little snake in the grass to know how much of a caring person Ken really was is a testimony of his acting abilities.....he was a great person. ✌️
Yes, I could see Eddie sincerely flattering June Cleaver. She was gorgeous and some of us have had a friend whose Mom made you look at like the cute girl at school that gets all the attention from boys. Just my opinion.
Eddie was awesome. I don't think I saw an Eddie based episode of Leave it to Beaver that wasnt good. He was also even funnier in the New Leave it to Beaver series in the 80s along with his lookalike/soundalike sons.
I've never understood why anyone, who wants to provide for their family, enters law enforcement. Why take on a job where you could possibly get killed, thereby leaving your family without a father/ mother / husband / wife and without a source of income. If I were in charge, only men and women with children over the age of 18 would be allowed to become law enforcement officers. Little kids and young adults need their parents to be there for them, not out being a "hero" protecting some stranger.
@@jediknightjairinaiki560, I feel that if one is called to serve others and wants to, then go for it. In Ken's eyes, a life is a life and he made a superheroic effort to uphold the laws and codes in order to make even his own small part of the world safer for others. As much as I love the superheroes in the comic books and films, I have always had a deep reverence for servicemen and servicewomen on both the military and civilian fronts, be it soldier, police officer, firefighter, or paramedic. Those, to me, are the real superheroes and we should be telling more of their true deeds.
@@timepoet77Would you feel the same if you were a little boy, whose father was a cop, was killed in the line of duty and wasn't there to come to your little league games, take you to football games, teach you to ride a bike, etc.? Ward & June knew about Eddie. They made snarky comments or rolled their eyes about him from time to time. So funny that Eddie never realized they were on to him.
Just to settle the rumors from here on out Alice Cooper was born Vincent Damon Fernier on February 4th, 1948. He had his name legally changed in the late 60's/early 70's to Alice Cooper for business reasons.
Mrs. Beaver, " Eddie did you see the beaver today?" Best line ever and they had to know what they said. Eddie made the show watchable besides all the suggestive humor and it was full of that, and it was intended.
Horns up forever! I hear that the symbol was created by Dio from is mom or grandmother to ward off evil spirits! So, Horns up forever for all of the Cleaver clan and associates!!🤘🤘🤘
One interesting thing is that after Ken became a semi-regular in early to mid season 1, he all but disappeared in season 2, appearing in only 5 of the 39 episodes before being absent for 13 straight episodes in season 5. I'm sure there's a story behind each of these absences, but I don't think that I've heard what it was.
I knew this bc he was on an episode of Top Cops in the 90s (ok, I admit I didn’t remember the name of the show. I only looked up after watching this episode.) I do remember the episode talked about the shooting and I thought it was so cool that he became a cop.
You should consider doing a segment on Beaver actor, Rich Correll. He's probably the one actor on that show that has had the most interesting post Beaver career though Ken Osmond and Buddy Hart (Chester) could be possible exceptions.
I’m sorry you didn’t like the video, Paige. Ken’s cause of death back in 2020 wasn’t initially disclosed. However, a quick search on the internet says that it was COPD.

I'd never heard that Eddie Haskell song before. Cool.
It's a new song. I wrote the lyrics and then used an AI program to help with the music.

Eddie Haskell right up there with Frank Burns as Great Characters that make you roll your eyes and shake your head.

Frank Bank? (Lumpy Rutherford)

Edie McClurg selling Corn Flakes! She was awesome. (I'm sure she still is. She's still with us at age 79.)

I believe they were simply guest VJs. No particular program.

Hey Kenneth!
Should find out if he’s related to Donny and Marie Ostend 😊
That’s supposed to osmond
He's not related.
@@jdsundstrom Donnie and Marie thinks he might be related to them...though. Maybe a distant cousin.
I want saw him in an episode of the Munsters with a young Bonnie Franklin
You mean he really wasn't Alice Cooper? That was always my favorite rumor in the '70s.
I never seen anything really bad about Eddie other than the phony compliments he give June. R.I.P
It's kind of ironic that "Eddie Haskell" grew up to be a police officer.
Donnie and Marie (on The Talk) said that Ken is a second or third cousin of theirs. Osmond is not exactly a common name.
Eddie Haskell was a wolf in sheep's clothing
Tsk tsk tsk
