@lrrrruleroftheplanetomicro6881 I indeed using it on my tile floors and having the same good results. Is it the best, no but a marked step above what is out on the market now. They need to design a roller with soft bristles on it to get hard surfaces like tile, to give it a better scrub, time will tell
I reacted the same way to the mop not getting to the edge at first, but after running it now, I realized that I don't really walk to the edges of my room, so it wasn't an issue. Just my experience. Other than that, it works great. We did have a couple of minor headaches setting up initially. The software preferred i-phone, and would not connect to our wifi through android (they may have corrected this issue). We got around this by using an i-phone, connecting it, then going back to the android app. The instructions for the water station (not connected to water mains right now) didn't specify using a seal at the connections, and we had a small leak. After adding the seal, no more issues. The light grey and dark grey hoses can kink, so be careful when securing them. Ours kinked, and would not refill water. Took us a minute to find the issue, because we weren't looking at the hoses. Just be aware of this. All in all, very happy with the job it does. You didn't mention this specifically, but it navigates fabulously through the legs of chairs. Enjoy!

Looking for a new robovac with mopping that I can connect to the plumbing. Is this the best option currently out there? The only downsides I can see so far is mopping in the corners will not be possible. And the fact that you need two docks. Or can the charging/dustbin dock and water dock be integrated or put together?
I'm not sure if this helps but I have the K10+ and one thing I did was mark where the carpets are in the mobile app. It's not had any problems knowing that they are there, though I need better carpet tape to hold them down since the K10+ is still powerful enough to move them about.
The funniest thing in that scene from BTTF is that with all the ultra high tech he put in, there is still a dollar store mechanical alarm clock mounted to the dash.
So you still install the waste dock, it just goes between the two, you’d install the waste dock wherever is convenient for it to charge and empty it’s dust bin, and the water dock would be installed wherever you could plumb it in (though it does have little water tanks if you don’t want to plumb it in)
Oh really!? They came in the same box, there was no separate container for them, so I assumed they came with the wet dock. I wouldn’t like to assume though if you can’t see mention of them in the ad!
I have older vacuum robots - Roomba j7 and a cheap one (can't remember who makes it. We call it tardbot because it randomly bounces around, no lidar, etc - but does an ok job of keeping the area clean). I also have two daughters and a wife - they have long hair. I have to remove hair from my robots on a weekly basis. I would like to get one that can get rid of the hair wrapped around the rollers.

Paul needs to have the elephant come from behind him now and push him into the screen 😂 awesome review as always! Love my switchbot K10+ betcha the S10 is some next level stuff
I just revisited this video after seeing the Eufy S1 Pro which looks like it's got a similar system but a lot better. Please review the Eufy S1 Pro if you can, it looks very promising. Only issue with it mopping such large spillage like ketchup is that it might end up in the vacuum mechanism like you can see in this video. Probably okay for normal grime and marks but if you have an obvious spillage then best to at least get the bulk of it off manually before sending out these robots.
I foolishly dreamt it would be less than £600... I won't be able to afford that after getting a cool, seamless floor like Paul has in his new kitchen. I wonder what it is (off topic, sorry!).
We purchased the S-10 in July. Generally love it. Two big dogs and a cat and a ton of hardwood floors. Really ideal piece of kit. The big problem is the difficulty in replacing consumable items. SwitchBot only sells an accessories kit with a bunch of stuff that doesn’t need to be replaced just to get a new mop roller. I would really like it if SwitchBot would sell me only replacement mop rollers. I probably need about one per month. Also, SwitchBot needs to do much better about posting instructions on how to thoroughly clean the machine. There are a ton of nooks and crannies that need cleaned and not all of them are obvious.
I have the small switchbot vacuum and it’s an idiot, it’s thrown itself down the stairs twice and it doesn’t know where it is when you switch maps. It’s also shit at mopping, it just drags around a wet wipe and usually drops it somewhere halfway through the job
Appriciate the review. I considered getting this one, however I am concerned about long term usage and safety. Especially where water is involved, you will get limescale. I didn't see a water protection system and the refill station will always be connected to the water mains (and therefore it will have to deal with water pressure all the time). If a valve gets stuck (for example because of limescale), you can easily flood your house.
Unfortunate. I was really considering it until the thing with the dust bags 😕 Why build an entire system with plumbing and then force people to use disposable dust bags...
"How did we get from..." I could launch into a variation of the "tears in the rain" Roy Batty speech but suffice to say one of the advantages of being born around the time they invented dirt is that you have a pretty good idea of how fast technology is moving these days. (To be honest, I actually hope I'm still around when "we don't need roads.") The other thing that perspective does, however, is sometimes put you in that fugue-state where you can't decide whether to plunk down on something that's absolutely amazing or wait for the next iteration which will be even more amazing. (Maybe one that has an actual turd-extraction process?) It's great to see all the innovations. The self-cleaning mop that doesn't drag ketchup all over your floor is a good example. The fill the humidifier function is another. Aside: I laughed at the blonde-haired easily offended guy because he apparently missed a fast inuendo you snuck in just before he got offended at a non-inuendo. Well played. I always got a kick out of that "It's a UNIX system!" quote, because it was actually an IRIX system. (Yes, based on SVR4 UNIX, but heavily modified by Silicon Graphics.)
If only 🤣. Unfortunately for me I read your comment and also need glasses and I was like "What's he talking about, this IS a video about the S10 Switchbot"
Our house used to be three houses and has a step between levels on each floor so not really any practical use. Even if we lived on a single level, over £1000 plus bags seems a bit OTT for a cheapskate like me who would rather a quick clean with a portable Dyson/Polti Vaporetto. Interesting though. Many thanks. Will wait for the all singing, all dancing version from Boston Dynamics!
If I havent got my current robot vacuum definitely getting this. Just 1 thing, I hope it will empty the trash and just throw it into the dustbin through a pipe or something so it will be COMPLETELY hands free.
People who are appreciative of your sense of humour are happier and live longer healthier lives than those who don’t. (According a new study by me, just now) 😂
No, it's an option. There were water buckets in a stand in the video 🤷♂️. I might point out it's an option people have been begging for for a long time
Love your videos, but noticed you only do one video per week now, on Sundays, and typically a paid promotion. Did you go back to work doing something else? Just curious.
Disappointed... You OWN a Star Trek TNG uniform shirt! That was a TNG bit and you wear a T-shirt??? Pity points because it might be a red shirt, but COME ON! I never thought I'd be commenting that Paul Hibbert needs to commit to the bit more, lol!
I just bought it, poor installation guide, poor engineering... it could not recognise the WiFi, I had to create a new switchbot account, because for some reason the old account did not connect. The water station is not recognised by the robot , and there is no explanation on how to set it up. The mapping is full of bugs, does not recognize rooms. I had to run the automapping 6 times and still it managed to get it wrong. Total crap... I am going to return it
I’m tempted to delete this comment as it’s full of personal issues presented as if they’re issues with the actual product. For example, I got it to connect to WiFi immediately. There is no technical reason creating a new user account would have solved your problem so seeing as we have no way to know what the original cause was this is not a fair complaint. I suspect you were attempting to do it when the battery was too low, or you were trying to connect it to your 5Ghz network. Secondly the instruction booklet that comes with the robot gives an explanation with pictures as to how to set the water station up, and includes a section describing what to do if the robot doesn’t recognise the water station. Your complaint here isn’t true. As you watched for yourself in my video I filmed it docking to its water station multiple times. I don’t know what “gugs” are, so I can’t help you there. My robot is currently boxed up so I can’t test to see if I can divide rooms but I have a very distinct memory of doing so during testing and I’ve just checked my notes from when I carried out the review where I have written “It has the ability to create multiple maps for multi floor situations, divide rooms, create no go zones and works with Amazon Alexa Siri Shortcuts, and Google home” so this complaint seems to be invention too. 🤷🏻♂️
@@paulhibbertthank you for the reply 🙂. I am a tech guy. I run at home Aqara, homeassitant, Homey pro and switchbot, and philips Hue (sorry), so I am not new to installing products at home, but strangely with this one I had to read blogs on how to get it to connect it right after multiple attempts. I will list all the problems I encountered. 1- I tried connecting with my router TP-Link which gives a signal 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. The robot was not recognized. I tried to switch off the 5Ghz. The robot was not recognized. I tried from android and iPhone, no success. Then I read on reddit that I was not the only one having this problem and maybe the issue was that the name on the wifi should have any special character. An employee on Switchbot named Matthew_Switchbot wrote: "Heard back from the support team, and this is what info we were given. Wi-Fi names and passwords should not have special characters, and make sure you're checking for spaces before and after when entering." I can send you the link of the thread on reddit if you ask. So I created a Guest Wifi on 2.4Ghz without any special characters on the name. No luck. 2- I had the idea to create a new switchbot account, and magically I could get it to connect without any problem. 3- When I say poor engineering I mean it: I can send you pictures if you need proof. a- Inlet pipe screw: does not turn as is supposed to, in order to screw it, I had to turn the plastic valve connector instead. b- Outlet valve connector: I have never seen a plastic connector missing a hole (in the instructions it says to cut it if the size has to be reduced, not to do it in any case, and in my case I did not need to reduce the size, so if I had not noticed the missing hole the wole water supply inlet would have not worked) c- The water station is so light that the robot moves it along and sometimes does not know anymore his position. 4- The auto mapping is full of "bugs" (that what I mistyped as "gugs"): I had to run the auto mapping multiple times before getting it right. The first time it did not map the bathroom (where I installed the water station), the second time my house was not divied into rooms, so I tried doing it, but it kept saying it was not possible. The third time I could manage to divide the rooms, but the water tank was not recognized (after pressing the bluetooth button as per instructions). So I had to run the mapping 2 more times to finally get it to work. 5- My conclusion: the user experience is not good. I was following this product on Kickstarter, I was super excited so much so that I sold my Roborock s7 MaxV Ultra to get the S10, because I wanted something fully automated. It was to much effort to install, and I am still thinking I will return it. I have never had so much trouble installing a new product beside Homeassitant 😛. Not worth it.
Alright, this is very cool. But Paul, could you stop abusing your robots? From sugar to ketchup you know they will remember and we will suffer the consequences after the machine takeover..

OK! So I have to ask paul, how the missus feels about you constantly putting condiments on her shiney floors.
What u think about Dreame s20 ultra ???
“Nudge ðe turd” is now my favourite euphemism
At this point, you must have robovacs roaming your house in packs
Why are you sitting on Marty’s McFly?
I film everything on the mcfly! 😂
I don't even own a RoboVac pricey for my cheap arhse... still watch for some odd reason, enjoy ur vids on these. 😄
Out of curiosity… Did you check about the tomato sauce beforehand? Because I recall an incident involving sugar. 😜🙃
Haha, nope!!
i always love your skits lol
Thanks mate! 😁
(According a new study by me, just now) 😂
IT Guy Here, you know whats interesting
UNIX is actually a base for all operating systems: Windows, Mac, Linux, Android you name it
Happy Hibbertday 😁
Right back atcha brother!
No home assistant?
This is it. We reached peak indoor floor cleaning robots
Morning Sir, happy Saturday!
Happy Saturday dude! 😁
Draining your tank can be a euphemism. Balls spunk you get the rest
Ohhhhh, sniff, does it work with HA. 'My Wife & I must know' hahaha
🤣 Sadly I don't THINK so. I can't see it in my list under the Switchbot itnegration.
😂😂😂 4:16 I am on the toilet but I’m not rob 🤣
Welcome to the fold 🤣
I've been waiting for the first review of this for a long time and it looks awesome as I thought. I simply need to convince the wife. Any tips? 😂
Buy now ask later. 😂
@@paulhibbert you mean: buy, install, introduce her to it when the floor is filthy 🤔😂. Clever 😁
Make the floor filthy first for good measure!
@@paulhibbert Just don't use sugar.
So... you need to connect it to your pipes randomly in the kitchen or toilet? That's a hard pass.
No, it's an option. There were water buckets in a stand in the video 🤷♂️. I might point out it's an option people have been begging for for a long time
It's showing as out of stock already on Amazon UK
And it's gone up already to £1199
😳 that’s annoying! At least my discount will bring it back down, but it’s frustrating that it’s already out of stock!!
Love your videos, but noticed you only do one video per week now, on Sundays, and typically a paid promotion. Did you go back to work doing something else? Just curious.
Hello mate, it's Saturday 🤣. If you look back through my back catalogue you'll see this has been the case for about 5 years 😊
Talk about not knowing what day it is, Dillon must have made a night of it before posting 😂
I can use a Dehumidifier... not a humidifier 😢😢
I also noticed the side brush got a good dose of ketchup
At least Marty was in love with a real person, not a hoover, ho, ho.
Who? Doc Brown? 🤔
@@paulhibbert I plead the Fifth.
Have you tried it with sugar?? 😂
I am forbidden! 🤣
Let's wait for the switchbot dustbin 😊 😂
C'mon Hibbert. Stop holding out on the sexbots.
Could you imagine, if Rob was actually sitting on the toilet lol.....
Several of them were 🤣
I just bought it, poor installation guide, poor engineering... it could not recognise the WiFi, I had to create a new switchbot account, because for some reason the old account did not connect.
An employee on Switchbot named Matthew_Switchbot wrote:
"Heard back from the support team, and this is what info we were given.
3- When I say poor engineering I mean it: I can send you pictures if you need proof.
a- Inlet pipe screw: does not turn as is supposed to, in order to screw it, I had to turn the plastic valve connector instead.
b- Outlet valve connector: I have never seen a plastic connector missing a hole (in the instructions it says to cut it if the size has to be reduced, not to do it in any case, and in my case I did not need to reduce the size, so if I had not noticed the missing hole the wole water supply inlet would have not worked)
c- The water station is so light that the robot moves it along and sometimes does not know anymore his position.
Damn, I want one of these so badly.
Alright, this is very cool. But Paul, could you stop abusing your robots? From sugar to ketchup you know they will remember and we will suffer the consequences after the machine takeover..
I for one welcome our robot overlords 😂
Ill wait for version 2 of the S10...
Great review. Where is the sugar test...🤣
In my imagination where Neesha keeps it 😂
I really was watching the video on my 🚽 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Turd eating robot 😂 on another note why don't they make vacuum robots square, or even triangular? It would overcome the corner dilemma, wouldn't it?
Big news, you can now define dark carpet on the map, and now its not afrade of dark carpet any more
Awesome!! I'm reviewing another vac for them soon so this is fantastic news!
I'm not called Rob, but was on the toilet...
Dammit, I was so close!
No one can beat lady bum to the first comment, she is without parallel

Wow, that was as surprised as you are humorous, algorithm
Algorithm for the win!
Pointless comment for RUclips algorithm purposes just because you deserve one.

Some fake Chinese ones yeah 😂
I watch just for the humor!
Well - it's partly what you think. Oh - it's so complicated.....
