I wanna Detroiter now. I saw an old Hell Baby on Reverb today...it didn't last long.

The Dragon suit was my least favorite mcp that ive tried. If I had to make it work I would. The Detroiter is far superior imo. In both a Charvel and LP Standard. The Angel Dust in the Charvel was a big improvement over the Dragon Suit. I prefer the Detroiter over the Angel Dust, especially in the Lp, more versatile, cleans up better with volume knob roll off,, more open, less compressed, more complex tone. Both pickups have attitude, but the Detroiter covers more ground. Love the 2nd degree bbs in my 78 Custom lp but they lose muscle in my' 13 LP Standard. The Detroiter gives that guitar its balls back.
I have an Afwayu that I just installed a couple days ago. im not sure I lke it much. The Garuda is a JB killer for sure, I love that pickup in a medium to brigbt guitar. A little to thick in an all mahogany guitar, but still cool. I need to give the Afwayu more time and use it with the band. So far I like the JB or Tonezone better.
I had a Hotheads, didn't keep them long so I shouldnt comment too much on them. They were fine, not what I was looking for. I would desribe them as a well rounded, improved Tonezone.

From what I understand, the Dragon suit is an Angel Dust with an A5 magnet. The Angel Dust is one of the best pickups I have ever tried. It may be that Im just used to the responce of the A5. Possibly the Dragon suit I had wasnt the same as Wade made it. Bought it used and It came shipped it shipped with 2 magnets and there is no telling where they came from. Ive never been disappointed with any MCP Pickup. The Dragon suit just didnt replace what I already have from MCP.
Im looking to get a set of his TWrecks next. I always liked Ttop neck pickups. Would like a regular BB neck as well. Im using Detroiter and 2nd degree BB neck pups.
The 2nd degree BB, Detroiter and AD fullfill any bridge humbucker needs I have. If I had to choose one for every guitar, it would be a tough decision.
