A lot of people criticizing the kid about ball location & form. This is just a speed or velocity training session im assuming. Kinda like when you have your Max day at the gym. Build that strength. Then you plan your following workouts off your max. Then you do it all over again.

I would throw so hard when I was young that I could feel my hand pulling away from my arm. It would get tingly and numb after a while. I decided to stop pitching 😂
It’s crazy the kids being told good when the ball is outside the zone. I hope the kid keeps his arm fresh enough so somebody can teach him the art of pitching. What makes effective pitching? Dr Tom House “1. Location 2. Change of speeds 3. Late movement 6:40 ”. But those things don’t fill the gym $$$
@@treadathletics I appreciate your reply…however you are showing me a pro pitcher compared to a Jr in hs…the kid is putting everything into his pitch. With head tilting toward 1st base side and looking for numbers. Yes, I’m aware numbers get you places. But pitching keeps you there.
Yep, gotta throw 95 before you can pitch at 95. Blake was only in-house for a few days, so that's the only pen he specifically threw. There are plenty examples across our page of athletes working on command, however, unsurprisingly they are not the videos that go viral, so it's unlikely you'll see them.
These are some crazy fast pitches, he probably had a trainer or great equipment growing up unlike some of us. I'm 14 turning 15 and I feel like for my weight and size, I should be throwing faster, even though i do not have much equipment myself, I tried many stuff so i have to stick to playing 2nd base. Is there any tips you recommend for me? I also visited ur website and downloaded some of your trainings.
Eat right, hit legs, and long toss every 3 days. Throwing a football is also good for developing arm strength. I went from 5'5" to 6'1" between my freshman and sophomore years, but I also added about 30 lbs. Went from avg 65 top 69 to avg 81 top 85. Mechanics and mass were the most significant factors for velocity increase.

Imagine the poor HS kids trying to get a hit off this kid when he's on the mound? He'll have the top college scouts coming to his games for sure. Bright future!!
If this kid is throwing mid 90's as a junior in HS....he'll be at 98+ when he matures? What would you Tread guys estimate his ceiling to be in terms of velocity.?
"sitting"? What does that mean? He cannot control anything he is throwing and has no idea where they will end up is this some new sport where you battle against the radar gun instead of needing to throw strikes? Good point
Thank you! This is part of their training session where they just throw as hard as they can for velocity/arm strength training.
Tommy John on line 1
No doubt.
Yeah he's got a lot of body movement too, needs to be more fluid.
😂😂 True, but he could clean alot of that up. He's in HS. If his senior year he sitting at 95 max 97 or something I'd draft him.

Exactly they just teach speed not control
