This is the ultimate Beirut performance, for me. Fantastic, wide-ranging setlist, best collective band they've had imo, and the massive crowd it deserves. Wish I was there.
I miss two songs: Prenzlauerberg and Brandenburg. The first one is a neighborhood in Berlin (the concert is pretty close to there) and Brandenburg is the state that surrounds Berlin. This was the opportunity! They played in Berlin several times after this and they don't make the connexion.

Post Rock Will Never Die .. well what is post rock, other than back to rural america, a revival of organic instruments, and balladeer eras long gone, for the new mass of late capitalism. The bands and concerts still working, just like erstwhile rock dinosaur models. Beirut is great to listen to, on a nice big HiFi.

I know heaven is exist when listening Beirut play their wonderful songs. I hope i can see them in live concert.
