    Hello I had a stroke 2009
My cardiologist found I had a PFO but wouldn’t recommend closure. 10 years after he referred me to heart specialist
This surgeon wouldn’t do closure because my protein c level for clotting was slightly off and indicated I still needed to be on blood thinner 5mg twice daily.
    This is not right

I'm going to have this procedure in about 2 weeks. I'm freaking out a bit . That's why I'm spending some time watching videos over this subject.

I’m having my PFO Closure on July 12 and pretty stressed about it. I had a stroke at 65 and they discovered I had a PFO, however I was never told. The reason was I was 65 and my insurance probably would not have covered it. Want to get a knee replacement and need to have the pfo closure before the surgery.
Please let me know if you are over 65 and have had a PFO closure and how did you feel afterwards

Have a PFO, had a stroke last year. 6+ weeks of speech therapy etc. Cardiologist hasn't even mentioned closure. I continue to be apprehensive day to day. Thoughts?
