Question: If the tracks are electrified overhead like they often are in Europe, could trolleys run on railroad tracks? Or do they require a different gauge track?

If the proper wheels are used and if the track gauge of the streetcars is the same as the railroad track, then the cars can run on railroad tracks. There are many gauges in use. The tracks in this video are about 6 inches wider than standard railroad gauge.

606 is currently stuffed in the PTM's car barn. Because of its hi level doors and lack of pole, it generally doesn't move much.
