I like and listen to so many groups but PENTAGON is in my top 3 which means a lot........ honestly, PENTAGON has super powerful vocals, killer visuals, their style is just so different. They truly are amazing and they DESERVE RECOGNITION !!!!!!!!!
From ones who keep complaining how it sounds the same: Hui is the composer of both like this and Runaway therefore it kept that same sound because t’s Hui style. Never and Energetic had that same style even if t was sang by different people. Hui composed 7 songs and everyone chose the one that would fit best for the continuation of LIKe THIs Last time I checked everyone has there own style of music and the only group i KNoW that steps out of there comfort zone would be EXO. Hence The whole war album. Pentagon Are style rookies and Hui worked hard for this comeback along side the others. I respect your opinion if you feel like it flopped or that it sounds the same but do remember that there trying hard to get there name out there. It takes time and money and Hui certainly did not rushed his music to give to us to enjoy. Again if you didn’t enjoy t don’t be so quick to judge. Never and Energetic don't sound alike at all though. They also have different genres. Hui is actually a really good composer and wrote songs that sounded nothing alike. I think that's why people are saying this was very similar to Like This because we all know Hui have composed way better songs. I heard some of his mixtapes and he is actually very versatile in composing diff. songs.
It was different genre but it had the same type of style which was Hui protarys in his songs. It sounds different because Hui experiments with his sounds and style. The only diffrence is the fact that it was a song, sung by different people. Hui explained that Runaway is the same familiar feel to Like this because it’s a continuation of Demo_01 hence Demo_02 . The song is slowly rising and it recieved positive attention from Koreans since half of the internationals wanna complain about it sounding the same when there are reasons why it does one being a continuation and two Hui being the same composer. He wrote 7 songs and the group picked what they thought would fit best. So Hui is improving greatly in his composing and he going to improve more over time but this does not mean he didn’t try hard with this track considering he made 7 songs. (Not implying that ur saying that he isn’t trying hard^^) Like I said I respect anyone opinion,you don’t have to Like the song but to complain about something like this especially if Hui explained that it was going to have the same style...

Hui, the leader, is known to be a genius composer as he composed hit songs like Produce 101's Never, Wanna One's Energetic, Krisha Chui's Like a Paradise, their songs Shine, Like This, Runaway, You Are, Thank you, and many more. He also participated in "Hyenas on Keyboard" and "Breakers" which are shows for singer-songwriters and he won 2nd on the Breakers. Jinho, composes songs too like All Right, Just Until Today, To Universe and Thinking About You. Edawn's composed songs are Do It For Fun, Let's Go Together, Organic Song, Pretty Boys, Cool Rap, Hyuna's Purple and he also composed Shine together with Hui. Yeo One composed his song called "Let's Go" for his to-do list. Yuto, their japanese rapper composed the song called "Trust Me". Kino, their main dancer and choreographer, composed numerous songs like Off-road, Violet, It's Over, Lonely, Romance, Cupcake, Universe, and many more. Finally Wooseok, the Maknae also composed songs like Lift Off amd he also composed a song for the survival show The Unit. How can people not like this song ?! It's so good they vocals are good, dance got that too, rap was dope, visuals check that ! Pentagon is one of those few groups that have the full package, apart that Hui is an amazing leader and composer, and Jinho's vocals are no joke, Hongseoks Vocal aren't that far behind Jinho's E'Dawn is a good rapper, Yeo One has such a sweet voice along with our China Prince Yan An and Kino's Dance is awesome and has powerful vocals for the lead vocalist let's not forgot Yuto's deep rap voice, and our giant baby Maknae Wooseok who's an amazing rapper

this song had to grow on me too, but the more you listen to it the better it gets. the choreo really sold this to me though, as beautiful as this MV is it didn't give justice to the song. seeing them dancing in their live performance made me love this song to bits, probably even more than i loved Like This :')

People need to understand that it's okay for music videos to have the same concepts since most of the groups follow the same trends. It's not like they are copying anyone, most of kpop mvs follow american pop trends. the same goes with the music, there's something called music genres !! so when two songs sound kinda similar it's not called copying, they just belong to the same music genre.

They come from small company that doesn't mean they're not good. Then I start listen to other's group and fall in love with CUBE. Just wanted to add something now that the news about Hyuna and Edawn broke (I'm adding this to the comments of all their MVs to try to spread the message). I'm so heartbroken for all of the boys in Pentagon, because I know just how close all of them have been. All of them have fought so hard and so long and overcome so much to be able to debut together, as 10. I remember how awful it was in Pentagon Maker when members were eliminated, how horrible it was for the boys. I imagine that the boys are hurting now like they were back then, that they're hurt and angry and confused and scared for their future. I know I am feeling all of those things. From ones who keep complaining how it sounds the same:
Hui is the composer of both like this and Runaway therefore it kept that same sound because t’s Hui style. Never and Energetic had that same style even if t was sang by different people.
Hui composed 7 songs and everyone chose the one that would fit best for the continuation of LIKe THIs
Last time I checked everyone has there own style of music and the only group i KNoW that steps out of there comfort zone would be EXO. Hence The whole war album.
Pentagon Are style rookies and Hui worked hard for this comeback along side the others. I respect your opinion if you feel like it flopped or that it sounds the same but do remember that there trying hard to get there name out there. It takes time and money and Hui certainly did not rushed his music to give to us to enjoy. Again if you didn’t enjoy t don’t be so quick to judge. Listen to album if you don’t like it better luck next comeback.

Never and Energetic don't sound alike at all though. They also have different genres. Hui is actually a really good composer and wrote songs that sounded nothing alike. I think that's why people are saying this was very similar to Like This because we all know Hui have composed way better songs. I heard some of his mixtapes and he is actually very versatile in composing diff. songs.
It was different genre but it had the same type of style which was Hui protarys in his songs. It sounds different because Hui experiments with his sounds and style.
The only diffrence is the fact that it was a song, sung by different people. Hui explained that Runaway is the same familiar feel to Like this because it’s a continuation of Demo_01 hence Demo_02 .
The song is slowly rising and it recieved positive attention from Koreans since half of the internationals wanna complain about it sounding the same when there are reasons why it does one being a continuation and two Hui being the same composer. He wrote 7 songs and the group picked what they thought would fit best. So Hui is improving greatly in his composing and he going to improve more over time but this does not mean he didn’t try hard with this track considering he made 7 songs. (Not implying that ur saying that he isn’t trying hard^^)

Hui, the leader, is known to be a genius composer as he composed hit songs like Produce 101's Never, Wanna One's Energetic, Krisha Chui's Like a Paradise, their songs Shine, Like This, Runaway, You Are, Thank you, and many more. He also participated in "Hyenas on Keyboard" and "Breakers" which are shows for singer-songwriters and he won 2nd on the Breakers. Jinho, composes songs too like All Right, Just Until Today, To Universe and Thinking About You. Edawn's composed songs are Do It For Fun, Let's Go Together, Organic Song, Pretty Boys, Cool Rap, Hyuna's Purple and he also composed Shine together with Hui. Yeo One composed his song called "Let's Go" for his to-do list. Yuto, their japanese rapper composed the song called "Trust Me". Kino, their main dancer and choreographer, composed numerous songs like Off-road, Violet, It's Over, Lonely, Romance, Cupcake, Universe, and many more. Finally Wooseok, the Maknae also composed songs like Lift Off amd he also composed a song for the survival show The Unit. Pentagon is one of those few groups that have the full package, apart that Hui is an amazing leader and composer, and Jinho's vocals are no joke, Hongseoks Vocal aren't that far behind Jinho's E'Dawn is a good rapper, Yeo One has such a sweet voice along with our China Prince Yan An and Kino's Dance is awesome and has powerful vocals for the lead vocalist let's not forgot Yuto's deep rap voice, and our giant baby Maknae Wooseok who's an amazing rapper

Just wanted to add something now that the news about Hyuna and Edawn broke (I'm adding this to the comments of all their MVs to try to spread the message). I'm so heartbroken for all of the boys in Pentagon, because I know just how close all of them have been. All of them have fought so hard and so long and overcome so much to be able to debut together, as 10. I remember how awful it was in Pentagon Maker when members were eliminated, how horrible it was for the boys. I imagine that the boys are hurting now like they were back then, that they're hurt and angry and confused and scared for their future. I know I am feeling all of those things. Right now, the boys need us the most. Universes, now is the time when we have to be positive, to send them constant messages of support and comfort. Please, let us all band together to help them during this time of need. Pentagon has ten members, and Universes know that no matter what Cube does, Pentagon will always have ten members. Pentagon, we love and support all of you.
