Though they weren’t popular, we treated them as if they were, and with tons of respect. Now, being world renowned, we are still by their sides. We haven’t given up on a single member. NO.MERCY was the survival program that chose the members to become Monsta X. It is cruel and painful to watch, but it will help you learn about everyone's pre-debut struggles (or not being able to debut //bc there were some trainees that were eliminated unfortunately). - Their DEOKSPATCH episodes. DEOKSPATCH is basically a Monsta X TV Show and has 3 seasons (Deokspatch, Deokspatch X, and Deokspatch X^2). The first season was before their debut, during the NO.MERCY phase. Deokspatch X is during their TRESPASS promotion I believe, and Deokspatch X^2 is during their RUSH promotion. All seasons/episodes are very enjoyable to watch and I have watched each episode at least 7 times each. I guarantee these boys will make you laugh and smile in the DEOKSPATCH episodes. - Their Afreeca TV episodes. The episodes may be an hour long each, but they definitely helped me to learn more about the members and the group in general. - Their V App videos. These are like vlogs for Monsta X and they were really nice to watch. - Their "The Qmentary" episode. Monsta X appeared as guests on a "The Qmentary" episode and I can't explain how much I loved it. - Their BEHIND THE STAGE stuff. There are a lot of clips of Monsta X behind the stage for shows and they help to liven up the dorky side of them. - Their upcoming reality TV show called "Right Now". This show will air on Jan 5th, 2016 (very sooooon yesss) I honestly don't know what else more to recommend, but personally I have watched almost all of the Monsta X videos there are on youtube. The radio shows they've appeared in, all their lives, fansigns/fanmeets, interviews, etc. Hopefully, this comment helped in expanding your knowledge of Monsta X :)

Monsta X is the group whose names I learned the fastest. Maybe it's just me xD Shownu's skin is darker and Jooheon's is quite light and he has distinct dimples. If you compare their faces you will see that their face shape, eyes, nose and lips look very different. (Shownu has pouty lips) Hope that helped :)

0:52 Minhyuk - vocal, happy virus of the team, usually serves as the role of the MC in most Monsta X videos, energetic
0:58 Shownu - leader, vocal, known as Robot Shownu because he's emotionless sometimes, has past experience as a back-up dancer, used to be a trainee in JYP ent, usually makes everyone laugh just by talking because of his awkwardness
1:04 Hyungwon - vocal, visual, has modeling experience, is funnier than he actually seems, has the dreamiest eyes and fACE AND EVERYTHING (he's my bias srry ;__;)
1:12 Kihyun - vocal, probably can be considered as the best singer of the group, has sung some Kdrama OSTs, is the most "bossy" one in the group, usually is the one to wake up everyone in the dorms
1:51 I.M - rapper, maknae, is the maknae that doesn't seem like a maknae, is quite odd (he's also known as an alien LOL), really likes making puns, can speak English fluently due to him living in Boston for 3 years
3:10 Jooheon - rapper, is the best at aegyo, has appeared on SMTM, is really charismatic on stage but is an adorable puppy off stage
In order to learn more about the members and Monsta X as a whole, here are some recommendations to watch:
- Their appearances on Weekly Idol (They've appeared twice so far, one episode with their senior group "Sistar" and other groups for a special, and one for their "Rush" promotion)
- The NO.MERCY episodes. NO.MERCY was the survival program that chose the members to become Monsta X. It is cruel and painful to watch, but it will help you learn about everyone's pre-debut struggles (or not being able to debut //bc there were some trainees that were eliminated unfortunately).
- Their DEOKSPATCH episodes. DEOKSPATCH is basically a Monsta X TV Show and has 3 seasons (Deokspatch, Deokspatch X, and Deokspatch X^2). The first season was before their debut, during the NO.MERCY phase. Deokspatch X is during their TRESPASS promotion I believe, and Deokspatch X^2 is during their RUSH promotion. All seasons/episodes are very enjoyable to watch and I have watched each episode at least 7 times each. I guarantee these boys will make you laugh and smile in the DEOKSPATCH episodes.
- Their Afreeca TV episodes. The episodes may be an hour long each, but they definitely helped me to learn more about the members and the group in general.
- Their V App videos. These are like vlogs for Monsta X and they were really nice to watch.
- Their "The Qmentary" episode. Monsta X appeared as guests on a "The Qmentary" episode and I can't explain how much I loved it.
- Their BEHIND THE STAGE stuff. There are a lot of clips of Monsta X behind the stage for shows and they help to liven up the dorky side of them.
- Their upcoming reality TV show called "Right Now". This show will air on Jan 5th, 2016 (very sooooon yesss)
I honestly don't know what else more to recommend, but personally I have watched almost all of the Monsta X videos there are on youtube. The radio shows they've appeared in, all their lives, fansigns/fanmeets, interviews, etc. Hopefully, this comment helped in expanding your knowledge of Monsta X :)

I noticed that a lot of people mix them up. So you are not the only one. But I cant really understand this because each member look so different imo. Monsta X is the group whose names I learned the fastest. Maybe it's just me xD
Shownu's skin is darker and Jooheon's is quite light and he has distinct dimples. If you compare their faces you will see that their face shape, eyes, nose and lips look very different. (Shownu has pouty lips) Hope that helped :)
Kaiyah B just remember that jooheon is the rapper with dimples and high pitch voice and shownu's voice is deeper and he is either with a jpg or cute smile face most of time. There's much more differences but I think these are enough to tell them apart lol hope it helps. 😆
