I like this laid-back style of episode. The presenter's voice, sence of humour and the visual setting make the episode very enjoyable to listen to. I got enough excitement in my life, so i watch RUclips to relax.
Ok, I guess my Google device listens to your podcasts, too. Your "Play Sandstorm" comment resulted in music over here.)😂
Lol I was wondering who was gonna have this problem 😂😂😂
Same
It happened to me, too! I also strongly dislike that song (long story) so when I heard it playing in the next room I BOLTED to turn it off 🏃💨
Mine did too lol 😂
And now I'm listening to sandstorm for the first time in probably ten years.
I'm a huge fan of this presenter, with her engaging style but at the same time very soothing voice.
We have a bot over here.
Ya but she's also showing extrovert traits which makes me wanna chuck my phone 🤮
Hexagons are bestagons
Best. Comment. Ever!
Share the enlightenment!

The bestagons are hexagons… obviously ;) all hail cgpgrey

You forgot to warn the guests about Jupiter's winds fast enough to shred you like a cheese grater.
For real?damn,no good pictures from this planet😰
it wouldn't be the wind what does that, it'd be the crystals of the various ices swirling in those winds that'd puree you.
You only do that if the party is entertaining enough to avoid awkward silences.
Not sure why people use that one these days as the farther out you go in the outer solar system, the faster the winds are by a large margin, and Jupiter is at a poultry speed compared to fastest at Neptune, around 2400Km/h, this isn't the gusts either, just the general wind speed at the equator iirc.
@@thehellyousaybut there's so much pressure (1M x 🌎) and heat (21,000°F) that even diamonds would be liquefied.
I love that the draw in for this video is that it'll help you be social at a lame party. So kind of you to assume I go to parties 😂
Being social is the lame part here.
nah she hit me with the darude sandstorm 💀
great facts tho, will be sure to use them at the next party.
Totally trolled everyone who has that set up.
She got me for sure! 😡
You heard it in your head. That's how they get around YT copyright strikes.
MY PHONE JUST STARTED PLAYING SANDSTORM LMAO
LIAR LMAO
Doesn't do that while you are watching a video on the same phone/device.
*LMAO*
Ditto
HOW? She was speaking way too fast and Google took in the next several sentences.
My Mini Hub started playing. Lol
Activated my Google home with that Darude comment 😂
same lol
OK google.... Self destruct !
Wait... people respond with interest to such facts.
I would love to be around such groups.
Just need to stop hanging around with neurotypicals, the neurospicy squad is always hype for info dumping your special interest
@@gastonmarian7261Huh. "Neurospicy" is a term I've never heard before.
@@Dewi-HI’m pretty sure it’s made up but one way or another a way more appealing & interesting version compared with saying neurodivergent
I get responses such as: "which drugs are you using, dude? and can we have some of those?".
@@gastonmarian7261"neurospicy squad" you got yourself a like
Oh I love this new chill setting
Memo to self:- Never spark up a fatty on Titan!
It actually won't burn. Not enough oxygen. Cody'sLab does a reverse flame video.
This lady makes watching and listening to Scishow videos, a more enjoyable experience.
This was absolutely fascinating! I know it probably won't happen until I'm not around to see it or take part, but I'd give up anything to go to another planet or one of the moons of another planet. Even if I knew there was absolutely zero way they could bring me back, I'd still go. No question. To be the very first guy who ventures out onto Mars to get things started for more human colonists to follow would literally be a dream come true for me. I'm fine knowing I won't be back to Earth, and I would consider it a very high honor to be that guy.
Okay, but what's your skill? What would you, being there, benefit to the mission? Since resources would be VERY limited.
I really like Niba's presentation style.
0:39 Jupiter's great red spot isn't actually a cyclone, it is in fact an anticyclone and a high pressure region in the atmosphere.
My brain can't understand this
Loved this new way of making videos more dynamic
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that SciShow understands the kinds of conversations I want to be having at parties.
Hexagons are the bestagons, even in space
I watch most SciShow "shows" and just realized this is the 'normal' SciShow, with a new set, and you're new (I think). Nice :) .. You've got a good pace, tone of voice, inflection, and mannerisms.
loved this episode also. The hexagon on Saturn is bonkers (I remember when they first started talking about it back in the early 90s). Looking forward to all the new interesting goodness that is SciShow :) ..
hurray! she back! 🥹
I've been watchin' SciShow forever. It's about time you got to sit down.
*Fun fact for you that you probably havent known about.. The electromagnetic properties of different planets effects the shape and properties of the ice formed by the water.*
I'd love to see a video on that!
Another way to break the ice.
The following is not aimed soley at you. I have noticed that many people get this wrong. I thought that students, especially non native English speakers, reading this might get confused So.
'Effect' is a noun. The effect of the rain on the plants was good.
'Affect' is a verb. To affect something or someone you change it.
So the electromagnetic properties .......affect the shape..... (Note present tense English plurals only have an 's' in the 3rd person singular). Or you could say ....the effect of the electro magnetism is that it affects the shape....
I love my native language.
@@helenamcginty4920 English gets so much hate and all of it is warranted but it has some really cool features too that nobody knows about because instead of teaching English in English classes they teach Black History
Like did you know gruntled is a word (and behind floccinaucinihilipilification and maybe superfluous it’s probably my favorite word) and it means happy
@@samstromberg5593 students can learn both English AND black history, both are important.
Is it me, or has Niba's pacing really improved? Great work, really enjoyed the whole video, and I look forward to more. :)
Props for Niba knowing about the club anthem, _Sandstorm_ by Darude.
This presenter is brilliant!
Niba Audrey Nirmal
Loved this host! Hope to see more by her
yo is sandstorm on a google home the new rickroll!?
I don’t think I’ve met Niba yet, but I like her! She’s got a GREAT speaking style, and wonderful personality.
SMH. The Google assistant on my phone actually tried to play Sandstorm 🤦
Not while watching the video on the same phone.
One other proof that every single word you say is being listened to and recorded. 🤷♂
More Niba pls!
Wish these episodes were longer
Awesome job ,keep it up❤
Ohh I love this calm vibe!
Great video as always! I just missed a bit more space footage!
more niba on sci show please !!!!
Loving new host Niba! Fits into the mix so well
Instructions unclear. Friends threw wine on me. Then proceeded to call me a nerd. Now I am drinking wine and watching this video contemplating where I went wrong.
Ah yes we always find ourselves in that situation haha i dont even go to the store too often
I'm going to be "that guy" at the next party. "You think that storm was bad the other day, well let me tell you..."
This was an amazing episode. Really informative and got my nerd brain tingling.
Also my first time seeing an episode hosted by Niba. Fantastic host, so articulate and engaging. You all get the best people.
Thanks for the facts that’ll absolutely demonstrate to my friends exactly how much of a geek I am, and will probably result in tumbleweed. None of my friends are as into science as I am.
You guys really nailed it with the new set, and your new addition to the team.
Didn’t expect to listen to Sandstorm today 😂 thanks SciShow
Yes! Another video, not hosted by Savannah! Thank you!
This presenter is fantastic; more of them please.
Sandstorm trigger went off right next to my living room Nest display. Instant full sound system Darude. 🤦
So according to the comments, I'm not the only one who got music playing thanks to that "Hey Google" you included! 🤣
Beautiful Presentation love the new content ❤
Awesome, although I missed a bit after you said "Hey google" hijacked my apartment, and turned it into a rave.😂
Great presentation 🖖🏼
My Google Home just started playing Sandstorm 😂
Kudos for making my Google play music.
Hey Scishow, can you please do an episode about tornado, particularly the one we are getting in the US? Ty 🙏
Saturn's hexagons are Markovian Well Gates. Jack L Chalker Well World Series!
HEYYYYYY Someone else who knows the ancient lore!!! High Five!
I like the new set, looks comfy.
Always baffles me how young Jupiters storm actually is. Such an iconic feature and yet so short lived
Ngl, really enjoying her hosting lately. More please 😊
3:30 My Google assistant actually kicked in when she said that! 😂
when I asked google to stop playing Sandstorm, it turned the video off and kept going lmao
Born to late to explore the world but born to early to explore the universe and that just kills me inside 😭 just imagining what's out there to just discover and yet we not even a type 1 civilisation yet is just criminal
Born just in time to explore hyperspace in your living room through a mature engagement with indigenous plant medicines. Or the secrets of your (and the collective) subconscious with Jungian active imagination, and the application of techniques from human experience like the memory palace (and all the places you can take it beyond memory)
I don't do dull parties, because dull parties are filled with dull party goers 🧐
Great presenter, my favorite on the channel!
I think the best weather factoid is that it rains diamonds on Uranus and Neptune!
Funny that I watching a vidoe about a storm with thunder booming outside..
PS you made my google start to play that song…
Not sure when she started on SciShow, but easily becoming my favorite presenter :) Great job hiring department lol
She's new in the last couple weeks:)
okay, what happened to Neptune's Great Dark Spot? It was in the science books I read as a kid in the 90s, but nobody talks about it anymore. Did it just kinda lose momentum and fade away?
Dunno why I LOL'd by the end of #6
3:30 😂
Yay, space weather! 🥰🌌👩🚀☄🚀👽👏
You're at a party.
This is the opening prompt of a bad AI chatbot.
This is, tragically, pretty much what I do at parties.
I'm surprised the diamond rain on Uranus and Neptune didn't come up! Which are hypothesized that it could rain diamonds as large as a million carats (200kg/440.9lbs)!!
Dude omg I had to ask my Google FOUR TIMES TO STOP PLAYING DARUDE SANDSTORM
Sandstorm started playing from my Google home 😂
Lol. My Google assistant listened to Niba better than it listens to me. 😅
Guess it couldn't sustain itself.
Cool bananas 😊
Cool storms ⛈️
Scishow, little typo, but for the on-screen text for Jupiters Lightning, you actually wrote Lighting.
You made my Google home play sand storm 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great presenter!!!
I love you niba
Mushballs!
Why do you keep making such cool pins!!!!!!!😂
3:55 my Google Home Mini is slow apparently. It took it until here to respond. I didn't think it heard you but it did 😂
SciShow gets better and better and better! (More kudos for Darude and Ourobouros 😁)
sounds like a sci-fi story plot the storm that ate itself
I got a notification that Google didn't understand if I was talking to it or not and then decided to disregard the request.
Not darude sandstorm playing in my kitchen now 😭
Lol made my phone go to play sandstorm
She's a knock out... literally 😊love the sandstorm comment
I've already been gushing to friends and family about weather on other planets since I was in elementary school, so most of them are already pretty tired of hearing about it.
On that note though, really disappointed you didn't mention Venus's pyrite snow or Uranus and Neptune's diamond rain.
"Let me tell you about jupiter's strange precipitation."
My Google home heard you 🙃
Guess Train was sorta right about drops of jupiter?
She is so good wow
Such a troll with the "hey google..." bit
She made my phone play music
You set off my google home 😭😂
Definitely watching this later!
Good to know that my Google Nest responds to other people's voices...
