Note this is a joke: He has a unique recruit condition though, you have to talk to him 3 times with Ike and then kill him with Ike, which unlocks a side mission which requires you to rescue him, after he's been inflicted with a dark curse that makes him have 0 in each stat except for 1 HP. This is then followed up with another side mission where you have ike, him, and a whole bunch of armor knights yellow units and have to sneak through undetected (may I add that you have to get all units out, not just Ike). Following this you have to guess his favorite color between red, black, and green (spoiler alert it's black). Then he gets recruited.

There's probably a lot of screaming. I admit this isn't really the best game design, he's nearly guaranteed to kill someone if it's your first playthrough. I guess it exists to show you just how strong he is.

Well with the Black Knight now on the field I'd definitely avoid at all costs at this point! I love when certain chapters in FE games has the " you should avoid the obvious big strong important character enemy" a cool thing they did ie you CAN defeat Garon early in that Birthright chapter which you logically think "yeah not dealing with that stay away!" if you grind which was unique I hope this concept continues.

3 things: 1. Japanese Memes are sometimes fun, but they make mostly sense for an Japanese audience, kinda like with German humor. Also there is the meme of our Gorillaguz, Ike as TV-Tropes had it in their Memepage for the Tellius games. 2. That Village actually shows us that a world without Laguz isn't an peaceful world and that all these race wars were fought by people pretending to fight for something other than their thirst of blood and power. This shows us that the problems are not the Laguz, but rather the people's inability to empathize with others and that lead them to do such terrible mistakes. 3. Ashnard is the fool here. His ambitions will crush him and he will forever be remembered as the worst King of Daein, fitting as he is the 13th King and brings only misfortune and suffering. He should have better listened to his puppet-master Lehran, then he might have won...or lost because even Ashnard was disposable for Lehran's goals in the end. Speaking about Ashnard, he is how I imagine Nemesis from FE16 was.
Nemesis being like Ashnard... I can definitely see that. Though really, Nemesis is what happens when the Obligatory Prologue Bandit Boss is actually a threat.

There's even hidden dialogue if you give Ike Miracle and have him fight BK. Not only does Ike lose his shit, Titania scolds him for being brain dead stupid. Yeah, you have next to hope engaging with him, even less hope winning, at this point in the game.
Can I just say that Burning Ambition is SUCH A GOOD THEME OML. Its one of my favorite tracks in the franchise and is SUCH a good "meanwhile in villain land" track.
This is a very memorable chapter for me, for many reasons. 1. Black Knight (duh) 2. 4 new characters all join in this map, 3 of whom are very useful and one who is semi useful. 3. Gives me vibes like the Fargus map from FE 7, having to battle your way to the port (there's even an uber strong boss you're not supposed to fight). I don't know, this map always resonated with me. Yeah Nephenee can get real unlucky with her strength; I usually dump like 3-4 bonus levels into her and make sure she gets strength speed and defense on all of them because i find it really important for her to have solid starts in those stats. Yours should (hopefully) be okay as long as she procs it a few times in her next level ups. Same thing with Kieran; I usually give him 2-3 levels before this map and make sure he also gets str spd and def. I use him to reach the far village and tank with handaxes. Just a tip for anyone who is playing along, make sure Volke has both the speed and strength to steal Mackoya's Laguzslayer. Will be VERY handy in the upcoming chapters (and it leaves him bow locked which is funny). Also try and steal the Priests' staves; on Maniac (if I'm correct) i believe every priest has physic and those are really nice to steal. Do you plan on using Marcia seriously or is she just filler? Because if you are she REALLY needs some levels; at this point she needs some really good BEXP levelups to make sure she doesn't fall off. And I think you can afford to drop Soren for a little bit; he's really high leveled and he'll get plenty of use in the upcoming desert chapter anyway where you'll probably end up dropping a ton of your mounted units anyway. Next map is EXP central and you get easily one of the best characters in the game.
I like this map too, though not killing the vigilantes is a pain. Also, it's kind of similar to the Fargus map, although that map confuses me sometimes. Do you kill a whole bunch of Fargus' men as part of his "test"? She SHOULD be alright if things even out, like with Soren. You have to get pretty unlucky to have someone end up well below average. Oh yes, that's useful. Stealing the Laguzslayer, I mean. Getting Volke a bit of experience before the next chapter helps too, there's some items to steal off some pretty speedy enemies. She's mostly filler, I'm going to need all the BEXP I can get for my main team.

Personally I think this is a good map for Petrine to be a boss for. Mostly to give the players an 'all is lost' moment, by making them think (at least on the first play through) "How am I going to take on 2 major enemy generals in the same chapter?" I always thought that nice touch with the anti-laguz houses considering the cutscene. I forgot people were debating Priam's origins. When it comes to any fighting game, the way I decide who I main/learn goes in this order: 1. I enjoy their playstyle 2. I like them as a character 3. I find something about them awesome (theme song, one move, or even just memes). Lethe is named after a river of Hades? That's awesome.
I guess that COULD work, though I feel she should've been the boss of Ch 7. Yep, it's cool. I think the only reason the Gallian houses in Chapter 9 don't work the same way is you don't have any playable Laguz at that point. Well, more that Ike/Soren shippers really don't want him to have a descendant... except that there's no reason his existence sinks Ike/Soren. He could be descended from Mist, there could've been a surrogate... a lot of reasons.
I always send Ike toward the 2 axe vigilantes, then unequip him and leave him there the entire chapter. They'll be distracted by him the whole time, tinking him over and over again. Then you can use Canto with your other dudes to pick off the Daein enemies attracted to Ike without risking the vigilantes suiciding. This is the point of the game where you should have some very powerful units, so you don't need Ike. That way you get 100% bonus EXP. I think you alluded to it in the captions, but the Black Knight won't come out until the turn after you engage the boss, so you can take as long as you want until then :)
I know for a fact that there was some sort of meme involving the Black Knight saying "S'up?". I think it was based on that Japanese streaming site that I can't remember the name of.
Not sure how many games do the 'spare this certain group of enemies' side objective like this game, but it reminds me of two of FE12's maps: the silver card clerics in the Merric vs Elrean/Arlen/whoever map, and the Sheema map. As far as I recall, those enemies don't move, so fulfilling those objectives is less annoying than avoiding the vigilantes in this game. Man, FE9 has a lot of extra dialogue. It's the little things. Zihark's a pretty nice guy as a character. Having a higher strength stat than usual for his class sounds nice, too. "Bah! A fool of a -knight- beast warrior, not even worth slaying!" - possibly what the Black Knight thinks to himself after his fight with Ranulf
Yeah, usually in "don't kill the enemies" optional objectives involve ones who don't fight back. Protecting people who are trying to kill you is... harder. There's even more later on. I like Zihark, personally. Though in RD, there's another Myrmidon I like using more.
Robin vs Corrin That's a hard ond Robin can have the upper hand since Robin can easily max out its stat with Grandmaster. Corrin can win if they are Nohr Noble so that Corrin won't be so defenseless if robin uses his Tomes. The match seems pretty fair Robin has Ignis and Corrin has Dragon fang
If Path of Radiance were to be remade today, something that I could see happen here is that once eight turns pass, Petrine shows up in the southeast with a group of four Wyvern Lords. Unlike other enemies, Petrine and her Wyvern Lord reinforcements will attack and kill the Vigilantes, but you wouldn't lose any bonus experience if they kill the vigilantes.
I would the Black Knight being in the house is a meme in the Japanese fandom like Darksied sitting on a comfy chair is a meme in the comics fandom. Also, personally, I think that the back kight's VC could/should have hammed up his performance a bit (I have no idea why I'm stating this here, buuut) I think their voice is too low sounds more like a hiss than a knight should. This also may have to do with the fact that I watched Monty Python recently, and I really like John Cleese's (Was it John Cleese who provided the voice?) performance as the black knight of that film. Also, Isn't there a unique cutscene if, after praying to the Zostriain God of evil, the planets align perfectly, and you frameshifted into another dimension (Of course), you kill the Black Knight? I might be wrong, but I think there is.
No, the Black Knight has no defeat dialogue, as he's impossible to kill here without hacking. You're probably thinking of Radiant Dawn, where he DOES have defeat quotes for some of his chapters despite the chances of him dying being less than 1% of 1%.

Yeah he's foot locked and lacks 1 to 2 range, but that doesn't change how fun he is.

Hey big klingy. I'm a pretty new subscriber amd I gotta say, I think I'm gonna really enjoy your FE playthroughs. At first I was put off by how slow your playstyle is (I started watching your birthright blind run, and am watching that alongside this), but it's hard mode and the older games made a name for themselves with their perma death system so it was understandable. Eventually though, your slow and informative style grew on me and I really look foward to your future PoR vids. The only FE games I played was -Melee and Brawl- Awakening and Heroes, and even then I kinda rushed Awakening as I was playing it on a friends 3ds. So viewing these is a real treat for someone like me who has never seen the previous entrees. 1 question about the black knight though. I know heroes spoiled his true identity, but is it really that big of a spoiler? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but he never shows up in PoR using his real name. He doesn't try to hide amongst Ike and his group and I find that his reveal in RD is, to me, just putting a name and face to a very iconic villain in the games. So why do many think it as a very major spoiler and a bad spoiler in heroes? Also BK rekt me during the heroes version of this map. Black luna and embla's ward is just a pain
I tend to take a while to make decisions, but it pays off most of the time as I've (hope I'm not jinxing this) not had a Game Over so far that wasn't on purpose. I admit I can get very slow sometimes, often I'll try to think of other things to talk about during slow moments. What you said about Awakening reminds me of a time when a friend lent my Pokemon Crystal and I beat most of the game in a single day. That was... interesting. It's not often I marathon games like that anymore. As for the spoiler, I'd prefer people to not mention it, but it's not really a big deal. WHO he is isn't nearly as important as his actual goal, which is a lot more well-hidden. Melee and Brawl hardly count as FE games compared to Smash 4, lol.

@@BigKlingy I doubt that he would be put in as a mounted, but I bet his recovery would probably use his wyvern and maybe his final smash is his personal battalion's gambit (perhaps with him as a barbossa, but that might seem like a weird transition) Regardless him saying that it's time for a secret scheme would be just too perfect for a final smash. The alternative is the failnaught special combat art, but I think the gambit works better. And of course it's a must have that at least one, preferably all, of his aerials have him upside-down. Three houses mechanics make specials work really well, as you could use combat arts. All though I'm interested if they'll only use bows for him, or if they use other weapons.

I remember my first run of this chapter, I put Ike right next to the door of the house BK pops out of, and of course, Ike got eradicated and I was left with nothing but the game over screen and a shocked look on my face lol.
He doesn't, unlike in RD where he actually does for a few of them. There's no way to possibly kill him here without hacking. That happened to... I think Mordecai when I first played this.
The Black Knight sure does like turning you sheet white doesn’t he as if that was me playing I would be panicking from then moment he appeared on the battle. Which is probably the point as the game is setting him up as an unmovable obstacle to Ike at this point. In Heroes he is almost as bad as Wings of Mercy means you have to kill an enemy in one round or he can warp to their location and get right in your face but at least some units can survive a round of combat there. My Smash mains either happens to be characters I like beforehand like the Fire Emblem characters or Greninja or I happen to find them fun to play as like Cloud. On the topic of Smash in just 4 days we will know a lot more about Smash Switch. So what are you expecting? I expect a lot of news considering the game is coming out in less than 6 months so I can see them revealing at least a 3rd of the Newcomers. Your Nephenee looks a lot my Hinoka in a play though of Birthright I plan to resume soon as there she has 22 Defence as a level 8 Falcon Knight but 20 Strength. Hello Zihark it’s nice to see you again. Navarre is actually one my favourite archetypes as they often act quite dignified and composed which gives them a quite intimidating and professional aura to them like the contract killers they are. Which are character types that I really like to explore. Plus they are almost always very useful for dodge tanking and critting. Zihark does differ a bit from that as he is a more serene kind of composed and isn’t really a contract killer at all but does make him stand out amongst them which makes him a little more interesting. Luckily for me a Killing Edge is not all he starts with as although I have loved that weapon since Lon’qu starting tearing down enemies with it. But since you can’t buy one to replace it i prefer to get a another weapon onto them so the Killing Edge can be saved for emergencies. I would really like an Ashnard Grand Hero battle at some point in the future. I could see them creating a map where the enemies are very offensive but not so much in the way of defence so you have to kill them before they kill you. Griffca as you said is not exactly a Kagemusha, he could serve as one cause as far as I can tell being a Kagemusha only really entails taking over their Lordships position in public settings so you’re enemies think that he is the Lord and is hence the one likely to suffer assassination attempts while the real Lord rules from the shadows. To end this off I have two words “Run away, run away, run away”
I remember HATING Wings of Mercy in the Heroes version of this. Thank Ashera the BK doesn't use his Warp Powder during chapters in this game, Heroes shows what happens when he doesn't hold back with it. Smash Switch depends on if it's a new game or a "Delux Edition". My main wish right now is Rex/Pyra (well, technically I want Morag more but he's more likely), although apparently a lot of people are VERY against him getting in. In addition to FE characters, I main Sonic, Lucario and Greninja. Sonic is probably my best character overall, mainly in Brawl. I think Hinoka didn't do so well in one of my runs too. At least she was better than Leo though. I normally like Navarres, SMs in general aren't as useful in this game though. In RD, on the other hand, where you can easily get physical 1-2 range swords... they're fun. Ashnard would be a great GHB. I'd like to hear his VA really ham it up. Would he be an Armoured Flier though? Feels like that'd be the best way to represent him.

A bad player will get KO'd long before they can make any real use of the Aura mechanic. Thankfully, Corrin doesn't seem to get much flak besides his ridiculous counter, and he's my 3DS main (I got all the 3DS DLC pretty much as it came out, but I didn't own a Wii U until my amazing sister got me one for Christmas last year, and I only got the Wii U version a few months ago, and we haven't had the money to get it again). 24:38 Krittycat.....I like it. He has a unique recruit condition though, you have to talk to him 3 times with Ike and then kill him with Ike, which unlocks a side mission which requires you to rescue him, after he's been inflicted with a dark curse that makes him have 0 in each stat except for 1 HP. This is then followed up with another side mission where you have ike, him, and a whole bunch of armor knights yellow units and have to sneak through undetected (may I add that you have to get all units out, not just Ike). Following this you have to guess his favorite color between red, black, and green (spoiler alert it's black). Then he gets recruited.

There's probably a lot of screaming. I admit this isn't really the best game design, he's nearly guaranteed to kill someone if it's your first playthrough. I guess it exists to show you just how strong he is.

Well with the Black Knight now on the field I'd definitely avoid at all costs at this point! I love when certain chapters in FE games has the " you should avoid the obvious big strong important character enemy" a cool thing they did ie you CAN defeat Garon early in that Birthright chapter which you logically think "yeah not dealing with that stay away!" if you grind which was unique I hope this concept continues.

Brave Scholar Lys They kinda do that in Echoes, where they just slap a DracoShield on the bosses and go “Good luck trying to kill this guy.” Because the only thing balancing DracoShields in Echoes is the single inventory slot.
3 things:
1. Japanese Memes are sometimes fun, but they make mostly sense for an Japanese audience, kinda like with German humor. Also there is the meme of our Gorillaguz, Ike as TV-Tropes had it in their Memepage for the Tellius games.
2. That Village actually shows us that a world without Laguz isn't an peaceful world and that all these race wars were fought by people pretending to fight for something other than their thirst of blood and power. This shows us that the problems are not the Laguz, but rather the people's inability to empathize with others and that lead them to do such terrible mistakes.
3. Ashnard is the fool here. His ambitions will crush him and he will forever be remembered as the worst King of Daein, fitting as he is the 13th King and brings only misfortune and suffering. He should have better listened to his puppet-master Lehran, then he might have won...or lost because even Ashnard was disposable for Lehran's goals in the end.
Speaking about Ashnard, he is how I imagine Nemesis from FE16 was.
Nemesis being like Ashnard... I can definitely see that. Though really, Nemesis is what happens when the Obligatory Prologue Bandit Boss is actually a threat.

Nemesis is pretty cool as a villian if he is viewed more as an personification of all of Fódlan's problems and pretty much the result of people lying about history, something Tellius has in the form of Dheggy's and Lehran's secret.

Can I just say that Burning Ambition is SUCH A GOOD THEME OML. Its one of my favorite tracks in the franchise and is SUCH a good "meanwhile in villain land" track.

This is a very memorable chapter for me, for many reasons. 1. Black Knight (duh) 2. 4 new characters all join in this map, 3 of whom are very useful and one who is semi useful. 3. Gives me vibes like the Fargus map from FE 7, having to battle your way to the port (there's even an uber strong boss you're not supposed to fight). I don't know, this map always resonated with me.
Yeah Nephenee can get real unlucky with her strength; I usually dump like 3-4 bonus levels into her and make sure she gets strength speed and defense on all of them because i find it really important for her to have solid starts in those stats. Yours should (hopefully) be okay as long as she procs it a few times in her next level ups. Same thing with Kieran; I usually give him 2-3 levels before this map and make sure he also gets str spd and def. I use him to reach the far village and tank with handaxes.
Just a tip for anyone who is playing along, make sure Volke has both the speed and strength to steal Mackoya's Laguzslayer. Will be VERY handy in the upcoming chapters (and it leaves him bow locked which is funny). Also try and steal the Priests' staves; on Maniac (if I'm correct) i believe every priest has physic and those are really nice to steal.
Do you plan on using Marcia seriously or is she just filler? Because if you are she REALLY needs some levels; at this point she needs some really good BEXP levelups to make sure she doesn't fall off. And I think you can afford to drop Soren for a little bit; he's really high leveled and he'll get plenty of use in the upcoming desert chapter anyway where you'll probably end up dropping a ton of your mounted units anyway.
Next map is EXP central and you get easily one of the best characters in the game.
I like this map too, though not killing the vigilantes is a pain. Also, it's kind of similar to the Fargus map, although that map confuses me sometimes. Do you kill a whole bunch of Fargus' men as part of his "test"?
She SHOULD be alright if things even out, like with Soren. You have to get pretty unlucky to have someone end up well below average.
Oh yes, that's useful. Stealing the Laguzslayer, I mean. Getting Volke a bit of experience before the next chapter helps too, there's some items to steal off some pretty speedy enemies.
She's mostly filler, I'm going to need all the BEXP I can get for my main team.

Yep, it's cool. I think the only reason the Gallian houses in Chapter 9 don't work the same way is you don't have any playable Laguz at that point.
Well, more that Ike/Soren shippers really don't want him to have a descendant... except that there's no reason his existence sinks Ike/Soren. He could be descended from Mist, there could've been a surrogate... a lot of reasons.
I always send Ike toward the 2 axe vigilantes, then unequip him and leave him there the entire chapter. They'll be distracted by him the whole time, tinking him over and over again. Then you can use Canto with your other dudes to pick off the Daein enemies attracted to Ike without risking the vigilantes suiciding. This is the point of the game where you should have some very powerful units, so you don't need Ike. That way you get 100% bonus EXP.
I think you alluded to it in the captions, but the Black Knight won't come out until the turn after you engage the boss, so you can take as long as you want until then :)

Not sure how many games do the 'spare this certain group of enemies' side objective like this game, but it reminds me of two of FE12's maps: the silver card clerics in the Merric vs Elrean/Arlen/whoever map, and the Sheema map. As far as I recall, those enemies don't move, so fulfilling those objectives is less annoying than avoiding the vigilantes in this game.
Man, FE9 has a lot of extra dialogue. It's the little things.
Zihark's a pretty nice guy as a character. Having a higher strength stat than usual for his class sounds nice, too.

If Path of Radiance were to be remade today, something that I could see happen here is that once eight turns pass, Petrine shows up in the southeast with a group of four Wyvern Lords. Unlike other enemies, Petrine and her Wyvern Lord reinforcements will attack and kill the Vigilantes, but you wouldn't lose any bonus experience if they kill the vigilantes.
I would the Black Knight being in the house is a meme in the Japanese fandom like Darksied sitting on a comfy chair is a meme in the comics fandom.
Also, personally, I think that the back kight's VC could/should have hammed up his performance a bit (I have no idea why I'm stating this here, buuut) I think their voice is too low sounds more like a hiss than a knight should.
This also may have to do with the fact that I watched Monty Python recently, and I really like John Cleese's (Was it John Cleese who provided the voice?) performance as the black knight of that film.

No, the Black Knight has no defeat dialogue, as he's impossible to kill here without hacking. You're probably thinking of Radiant Dawn, where he DOES have defeat quotes for some of his chapters despite the chances of him dying being less than 1% of 1%.

Hey big klingy. I'm a pretty new subscriber amd I gotta say, I think I'm gonna really enjoy your FE playthroughs. At first I was put off by how slow your playstyle is (I started watching your birthright blind run, and am watching that alongside this), but it's hard mode and the older games made a name for themselves with their perma death system so it was understandable. Eventually though, your slow and informative style grew on me and I really look foward to your future PoR vids. The only FE games I played was -Melee and Brawl- Awakening and Heroes, and even then I kinda rushed Awakening as I was playing it on a friends 3ds. So viewing these is a real treat for someone like me who has never seen the previous entrees.
1 question about the black knight though. I know heroes spoiled his true identity, but is it really that big of a spoiler? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but he never shows up in PoR using his real name. He doesn't try to hide amongst Ike and his group and I find that his reveal in RD is, to me, just putting a name and face to a very iconic villain in the games. So why do many think it as a very major spoiler and a bad spoiler in heroes?

I tend to take a while to make decisions, but it pays off most of the time as I've (hope I'm not jinxing this) not had a Game Over so far that wasn't on purpose. I admit I can get very slow sometimes, often I'll try to think of other things to talk about during slow moments.
What you said about Awakening reminds me of a time when a friend lent my Pokemon Crystal and I beat most of the game in a single day. That was... interesting. It's not often I marathon games like that anymore.
As for the spoiler, I'd prefer people to not mention it, but it's not really a big deal. WHO he is isn't nearly as important as his actual goal, which is a lot more well-hidden.

@@BigKlingy I doubt that he would be put in as a mounted, but I bet his recovery would probably use his wyvern and maybe his final smash is his personal battalion's gambit (perhaps with him as a barbossa, but that might seem like a weird transition) Regardless him saying that it's time for a secret scheme would be just too perfect for a final smash. The alternative is the failnaught special combat art, but I think the gambit works better.
And of course it's a must have that at least one, preferably all, of his aerials have him upside-down.
Three houses mechanics make specials work really well, as you could use combat arts.
All though I'm interested if they'll only use bows for him, or if they use other weapons.

The Black Knight sure does like turning you sheet white doesn’t he as if that was me playing I would be panicking from then moment he appeared on the battle. Which is probably the point as the game is setting him up as an unmovable obstacle to Ike at this point. In Heroes he is almost as bad as Wings of Mercy means you have to kill an enemy in one round or he can warp to their location and get right in your face but at least some units can survive a round of combat there.
My Smash mains either happens to be characters I like beforehand like the Fire Emblem characters or Greninja or I happen to find them fun to play as like Cloud. On the topic of Smash in just 4 days we will know a lot more about Smash Switch. So what are you expecting? I expect a lot of news considering the game is coming out in less than 6 months so I can see them revealing at least a 3rd of the Newcomers.
Your Nephenee looks a lot my Hinoka in a play though of Birthright I plan to resume soon as there she has 22 Defence as a level 8 Falcon Knight but 20 Strength.

Navarre is actually one my favourite archetypes as they often act quite dignified and composed which gives them a quite intimidating and professional aura to them like the contract killers they are. Which are character types that I really like to explore. Plus they are almost always very useful for dodge tanking and critting. Zihark does differ a bit from that as he is a more serene kind of composed and isn’t really a contract killer at all but does make him stand out amongst them which makes him a little more interesting. Luckily for me a Killing Edge is not all he starts with as although I have loved that weapon since Lon’qu starting tearing down enemies with it. But since you can’t buy one to replace it i prefer to get a another weapon onto them so the Killing Edge can be saved for emergencies.
I would really like an Ashnard Grand Hero battle at some point in the future. I could see them creating a map where the enemies are very offensive but not so much in the way of defence so you have to kill them before they kill you.
Griffca as you said is not exactly a Kagemusha, he could serve as one cause as far as I can tell being a Kagemusha only really entails taking over their Lordships position in public settings so you’re enemies think that he is the Lord and is hence the one likely to suffer assassination attempts while the real Lord rules from the shadows.

I remember HATING Wings of Mercy in the Heroes version of this. Thank Ashera the BK doesn't use his Warp Powder during chapters in this game, Heroes shows what happens when he doesn't hold back with it.
Smash Switch depends on if it's a new game or a "Delux Edition". My main wish right now is Rex/Pyra (well, technically I want Morag more but he's more likely), although apparently a lot of people are VERY against him getting in.
In addition to FE characters, I main Sonic, Lucario and Greninja. Sonic is probably my best character overall, mainly in Brawl.
I think Hinoka didn't do so well in one of my runs too. At least she was better than Leo though.
I normally like Navarres, SMs in general aren't as useful in this game though. In RD, on the other hand, where you can easily get physical 1-2 range swords... they're fun.
Ashnard would be a great GHB. I'd like to hear his VA really ham it up. Would he be an Armoured Flier though? Feels like that'd be the best way to represent him.

Interesting. Haven't really heard Golbez's theme, but both characters are essentially Darth Vader Clones so it makes sense.

Sadly I might not be able to do so until there's a GameCube port on the switch (and likely won't have PoR on it anyway since they just announced they're adding Sacred Stones to the GBA port. It's annoying that it feels like they're trying to forget about their old games unless they're going to be added to the gacha game or brought back for fanservice - i.e. first Warriors game and Engage)

17:20 Yeah, pretty much every character in Smash has some negative stereotype associated with them for one reason or another. My Wii U main is Lucario, and _hoo boy_ does THAT come with baggage. There's more than one unseemly reputation for Lucario players, with the main camp being the misconception that Lucario "rewards playing badly" which is blatantly wrong. A bad player will get KO'd long before they can make any real use of the Aura mechanic. Thankfully, Corrin doesn't seem to get much flak besides his ridiculous counter, and he's my 3DS main (I got all the 3DS DLC pretty much as it came out, but I didn't own a Wii U until my amazing sister got me one for Christmas last year, and I only got the Wii U version a few months ago, and we haven't had the money to get it again).
