On the other hand, I have very much improved on making lyrics and implementing them into the video. So as you'll see, the video part is not much different. There are a few changes and added footage, but mostly it was the lyrics that I wanted to change. Have them take up less space, and just be better lyrics after much of the critique I got. This game. This dlc. This ending. Broke me down to my most vulnerable in my darkest time. Made me feel happy to accomplish something grand. I teared up with fresh start, but no. I cried when I first beat octo expansion. Thank you splatoon 2. I hope I can repay you in any way at some point.
I pride myself on the fact that I don’t cry often. In fact I haven’t ever cried because of a piece of media. But when the credits of ANY Splatoon game plays, I tear up. In fact, if my mom and sister weren’t sitting next to me, I bet I would have shed a tear or two. It feels silly crying over a game like that, so I’m going to blame it on moving away from all my friends and childhood home in the middle of High School. I still sit alone at lunch and only talk to two people so I can kind of relate to the isolation this DLC plays on. (Ugh, I hate saying that I relate to fictional characters.)

I know probably no one will read this, and that’s why I’m pulling It out from my chest right now. This song is extremely nostalgic for me. It shows how time flies by so fast. I remember playing octo expansion with my parents, explaining all the lore to my best friend, drawing them in sunny saturdays. It seemed like everything was just fine. I started playing it after a very hard time of my life, and I believe splatoon 2 truly was my light. I was bullied during my childhood, and when I finally moved on from that, I got splatoon 2 for my birthday, and then everything got better from there. It really made me reconsider if I could have my childhood back, and I truly did. I was obsessed with it. It was a childish addiction that I never had since I got bullied for a long time. I feel like the octo expansion really was a fresh start for my life. The good times started there. My confidence, my happiness, everything, and I couldn’t thank splatoon 2 more for that.
I know your feelings man this happened to me too when I was 14 when Octo expansion came out and played it with my brother and we finished but when I was at school I was also bullied a lot because people were making fun of me and kicking me everything like that. When I first time watched this video this gave back memories from 5 years ago this really gave me the shine of happiness on my face I loved Octo expansion and good thing I watched this video when I was 18. Splatoon has always been there for me. When my mum and dad broke up, I didn’t really know who to talk to, so all I did was just play splatoon 2 as it came out recently. I remember it perfectly, 2018 at the night playing the octo expansion for 5 hours and then keep finishing levels... Now with splatoon 3 out I'm still using the same avatar as my 2018 me, the basic octoling hair with light skin and turquoise eyes, even knowing splatoon 3 story mode is so well made, the octo expansion vibe, feelings and memories will always be my fav splatoon experience for the long future of the series, I'm glad I knew about splatoon existance, I would be someone completely different, I grew up with splatoon and splatoon grew with me, so I'm glad of all that happy memories I have from my experience since 2015, I hope I never stop being tuned to the saga even on my future

This game is honestly now a part of me and probably to many people too. Knowing that this is a DLC and how it made us feel in such a short amount of time. To be honest that's amazing ( it mostly made us cry don't lie that you didn't.) And after almost two years this already feels nostalgic. What I'm trying to saying is I love y'all and everybody in the Splatoon Community and I hope when we look back at this we will all remember each other and our fan base and how much we loved it.

When the into the light credits scene played after I beat octo expansion, I was dying on the inside. Hours and hours of effort and fun put into it beating every level over 3 times with each weapon, reading through all the mem cakes for no reason… I miss those days man. I hope the splatoon 3 dlc is as good as octo expansion. The whole concept of a second story mode is really cool in my opinion. It’s been almost 9 years since splatoon 1 was announced, it still holds a special place in my heart. Thank you splatoon 2, for all the memories ❤️
This is what I love about games. You actually feel like your the character your playing, and when a character is relying on your character. It’s like the character is relying on you. When you succeed and make a person in your game happy you get this tingly feeling of joy.

I shared it with my best friend that I used to duo with. I remember the hype for Splatoon 3 ( Although it flopped. ) I remember the Agent 3 fight. The Boo-Yah from pearl. I tried Splatoon 3. It had been about 2 years since I touched Splatoon 2. I was quite rusty. However I tried, but it didn't feel the same. I listen to this song every day on repeat for hours. Just reminiscing on the good ol' days with me and my OG friend group. Not to say that I don't like my current one. But I miss the old one, I miss the memories. This sounds so stupid but I've cried so much over this dumb squid music I had gone through online school without any connection to my friends, not knowing if I'd ever see them again (due to school testing/applications.) I was stressed all the time and it would take me hours of procrastinating to get myself to do just a small bit of work. I was going to miss the last year of being at this school, where I had so many friends and memories, where I should've gone on the trip of my life. I was supposed go to celebrate, go to parties, do everything with closure. I would watch your videos all the time because something about the lyrics really resonated with me, especially this one and Fresh Start. I still sulk about how my year ended, where I was sobbing from stress instead of running and laughing on the field. I absolutely adore this song but I'm doing my best to not watch it. Bro Splatoon 3's campaign needs to be as epic as the Octo expansion. I really liked the story and how it was told in there. Then the missions were actually challenging and the last level was tense, it was truly special
30th time watching this and I realized that something, the reason the Squidlings reigned supreme over the Octolings is because there are way more squids in the ocean, so they were largely outnumbered in The Great Turf War.
This song hit me right in the feels, I remember playing splatoon 2 for the first time, the dlc is what made it fun, we got to see another story, my big bro cheered me on cause he was happy to see the game I've been talking about for a long time, we shared good memories together while we both worked together on this, I will never forget the happy look on his face when I finally beat the dlc and unlocked the cute octoling I played as, he is currently alive but he lives in a different state now, I miss him so much and hope he comes to visit me when splatoon 3 comes out

I know probably no one will read this, and that’s why I’m pulling It out from my chest right now. This song is extremely nostalgic for me. It shows how time flies by so fast. I remember playing octo expansion with my parents, explaining all the lore to my best friend, drawing them in sunny saturdays. It seemed like everything was just fine. I started playing it after a very hard time of my life, and I believe splatoon 2 truly was my light. I was bullied during my childhood, and when I finally moved on from that, I got splatoon 2 for my birthday, and then everything got better from there. It really made me reconsider if I could have my childhood back, and I truly did. I was obsessed with it. It was a childish addiction that I never had since I got bullied for a long time. I feel like the octo expansion really was a fresh start for my life. The good times started there. My confidence, my happiness, everything, and I couldn’t thank splatoon 2 more for that.
I know your feelings man this happened to me too when I was 14 when Octo expansion came out and played it with my brother and we finished but when I was at school I was also bullied a lot because people were making fun of me and kicking me everything like that. When I first time watched this video this gave back memories from 5 years ago this really gave me the shine of happiness on my face I loved Octo expansion and good thing I watched this video when I was 18. At college after this video people were ripping my drawings of those memories that were great and helpful for me to remember Octo expansion but my mom would not let me get Octo expansion again because I’m to old but I searched that it was not really for kids because of sanitized octolings. I brought one of my drawings of those memories and showed it to my brother and that gave my brother very well memories of Octo expansion and that how me and my brother got it again in that small part thanks to Caitlin koi this really brings back memories of this game❤

Splatoon has always been there for me. When my mum and dad broke up, I didn’t really know who to talk to, so all I did was just play splatoon 2 as it came out recently. My dad then got me octo expansion and now every time I listen to this, all the good and bad memories come flooding in. And on rare occasions, I start to cry. I don’t know why, I just do.

I remember it perfectly, 2018 at the night playing the octo expansion for 5 hours and then keep finishing levels... Now with splatoon 3 out I'm still using the same avatar as my 2018 me, the basic octoling hair with light skin and turquoise eyes, even knowing splatoon 3 story mode is so well made, the octo expansion vibe, feelings and memories will always be my fav splatoon experience for the long future of the series, I'm glad I knew about splatoon existance, I would be someone completely different, I grew up with splatoon and splatoon grew with me, so I'm glad of all that happy memories I have from my experience since 2015, I hope I never stop being tuned to the saga even on my future

This game is honestly now a part of me and probably to many people too. Knowing that this is a DLC and how it made us feel in such a short amount of time. To be honest that's amazing ( it mostly made us cry don't lie that you didn't.) And after almost two years this already feels nostalgic. What I'm trying to saying is I love y'all and everybody in the Splatoon Community and I hope when we look back at this we will all remember each other and our fan base and how much we loved it.

This song has a special place in my heart, it's the perfect song for an ending to something great or challenging. Nintendo makes such amazing songs, but they act like their ashamed of them from how much they protect their IP and don't want to broadcast them.

When the into the light credits scene played after I beat octo expansion, I was dying on the inside. Hours and hours of effort and fun put into it beating every level over 3 times with each weapon, reading through all the mem cakes for no reason… I miss those days man. I hope the splatoon 3 dlc is as good as octo expansion. The whole concept of a second story mode is really cool in my opinion. It’s been almost 9 years since splatoon 1 was announced, it still holds a special place in my heart. Thank you splatoon 2, for all the memories ❤️

This is what I love about games. You actually feel like your the character your playing, and when a character is relying on your character. It’s like the character is relying on you. When you succeed and make a person in your game happy you get this tingly feeling of joy.

whenever i hear this song im crying, but not in a sad way, its just.... so perfect. the entire game made me cry like this. the whole storyline, the battles, the encouragement, the music, everything about this will be held in my heart the rest of my life
ahh. I remember playing Splatoon with my friends all day as long as possible. I remember when we hit S+. Prestige too. The DLC. Just the sheer amount of memories that this video gives me. I shared it with my best friend that I used to duo with. I remember the hype for Splatoon 3 ( Although it flopped. ) I remember the Agent 3 fight. The Boo-Yah from pearl. I tried Splatoon 3. It had been about 2 years since I touched Splatoon 2. I was quite rusty. However I tried, but it didn't feel the same. I listen to this song every day on repeat for hours. Just reminiscing on the good ol' days with me and my OG friend group. Not to say that I don't like my current one. But I miss the old one, I miss the memories. And this is one of the best things on RUclips. like the saying, "The internet can be a wonderful place, but it can also be a terrible place." I love how you can just pour your heart on onto the computer and share it with other people even if they don't care. Its like a invisible therapist. Its a place to store memories. Things that we won't forget. I still can't believe that this video was 4 years ago. I remember watching it when it came out like it was just yesterday. I listened to it all day like I am now. I don't think I have anymore to say. I still remember the Final Splatfest. I chose Chaos like most kids lol. If I were to go back I would've definitely chosen order. Having this be a year ago feels unreal, splatoon has changed me in the best way possible.
This sounds so stupid but I've cried so much over this dumb squid music
I had gone through online school without any connection to my friends, not knowing if I'd ever see them again (due to school testing/applications.) I was stressed all the time and it would take me hours of procrastinating to get myself to do just a small bit of work. I was going to miss the last year of being at this school, where I had so many friends and memories, where I should've gone on the trip of my life. I was supposed go to celebrate, go to parties, do everything with closure. I would watch your videos all the time because something about the lyrics really resonated with me, especially this one and Fresh Start. I still sulk about how my year ended, where I was sobbing from stress instead of running and laughing on the field. I absolutely adore this song but I'm doing my best to not watch it. The amount of nostalgia I get from this is something I want to experience years down the road. I'm in a much better place now. I'm a straight A student, trying to (maybe) get the highest award for my school year. I have so many friends and I'm moving on. Thank you for giving me an outlet for all those messy things :)
