As someone else commented below, just put the strap button on the upper horn through the strap hole the opposite direction you normally would (go through from the top side of the strap rather than the underside). The strap actually sits flattered over your shoulder than with the traditional strap button position. No twisting at all.
Try putting your top part of the strap the other way around. Like you would put it in a Gibson SG. And you need to check the series of evertune videos Ola made in his solar guitars channel.
Yeah, I had the same thought at first (about it twisting), and then I flipped the top strap around and it actually sits flatter over your collarbone than it would with a "standard" strap button position on the end of the horn.
Evertune is the best thing innovated for guitar ever in my opinion :) A little learning curve maybe but once I learnt it I can't imagine myself every recording or gigging without it :)
@VOTERFRAUD BIDEN I also love Floyds. I'm also a tuning nazi with my Floyd Roses (only German made ones xD or the Japan made Gotoh 1996T versions) and while I can set them up to "perfection"... Saying they "NEVER" go out of tune isn't exactly accurate. I have played entire live shows with my Floyds "not going out of tune" they can still go a few cents up or down on a couple of strings with heavy use and they are definitely not immune to temperature changes Evertune stays at +-0 for weeks or even months hehe :) I'm fine with the slight feel change in bends with Evertune, I just got used to it :)
its actually a set thru neck its not one piece the neck is sunk into the body about half way. neck thru is a solid piece down the middle of the body. very nice guitar by the way.
Love the backing track - massive FromSoft fan :) Any chance that the strap was intended to be attached the other way around - looping around your shoulder and attaching from above the guitar? So the other side of the strap would face the guitar at the upper horn when compared to what's shown in the video.
I've learned quite a bit more about the guitar based on comments since I posted this video, and you're spot on about the strap. Good ears on the Dark Souls track! You might be interested in this cover I did of a Bloodborne song last year :D ruclips.net/video/0ydbw-CpDJA/видео.html

I wonder if you felt similar to how a person feels when they buy their first FR while having zero idea what they were buying? :D I just ordered a Solar for myself but with an "ordinary" fixed bridge but I might wanna try Evertune one day. I don't know enough about it at the moment in order to have an idea whether I really wanna pay for it or not. "Support your local music shop." Tried that, as a 3m old newbie. Got the guitar back with zero relief in the neck and the bridge set up wrong (wrong angle on FR). I don't think I'm going back there for another setup, ever. 🤣 Good your local music shop is way better than mine. :)
I DEFINITELY had anxiety about whether I made the right decision in the two long weeks after I ordered the guitar, waiting for it arrive. I wish I would have researched the Evertune bridge ahead of time, which would have saved me some headaches. But in general as long as you are willing to do research, read the manuals, and not be afraid to ask for help, you'll be OK :)
@@mahnplaysmusic Anxiety about the possible QC, I guess? Well, I'm currently waiting for mine (should be shipped mid-February) and I'm trying to stay positive. 😆 Thought tbh I'd be way, way more anxious if I were non-EU customer - then it's so much expensive and difficult to deal with possible issues/exchange. Well, your experience showed me that Evertunes can certainly be difficult and need research in order to make one's life easier. I've heard they're quite complex (or pretty complex?) but since I'm not about the purchase one in the near future I haven't spent time researching them, I just am happy with knowing the very basics about it. @@molekyyli I haven’t got a solar but I have an esp with an Evertune. Once you get it setup how you like, it’s basically forget it. It’s crazy how much it stays in tune. I’ve often had issues with the low b on a 7 string. With the Evertune though it’s perfect every time:
@@zanmato86 Thanks for more info! I have quite a little experience in general, being a newbie and having only one guitar - and that one happens to be a FR so I have no real experience how's tuning stability on various fixed bridges (especially without locking tuners), not to mention on any 7-string. I just ordered a guitar with a fixed bridge (Solar), so I'm about to find out a bit. :)) As a lefty finding a guitar you like (and doesn't require selling a kidney first) is like hitting a jackpot, so I hope I'll be happy with it (though, I'd still buy it no matter the bridge, FR or else, cos I just have to have a neon yellow guitar. 🤣) But it does sound that for a 7-string having an Evertune might be an excellent idea. Gonna keep that in mind if I ever consider getting one. And if it's not more complex than a FR, I'm gonna be okay. :))
The issue of cracking fretboards is still a thing I’ve come across this video by trying to find out what other people experiencing with Solar guitars 🎸 the fact this is like a year on and the issues are still happening is very concerning. I want a guitar that I can have in a drop C Solar guitars look the part and sound epic but the quality issue if the guitar cracking is a real concern and it’s for this reason I’m not prepared to spend the cash on one yet. I will probably stick with ESP/LTD Ibanez ,Jackson or even Schecter brands the LTD Arrow looks pretty sick. Anyways Solar are Great guitars just poor QC.
@@Everton-1119My question is how exactly do you know if you haven’t known anyone personally who’s experienced these problems or picked one up yourself? Also it depends on the wood. Ebony is probably the highest risk since it dries out. Something to consider is that the guitars are made in Indonesia but the QC headquarters (I think) is in Spain. That’s a lot of potential for weather related damage. Roasted maple I’ve heard fares a little better just from what I’ve heard.
@@jamesdragonforce I take your point that I haven’t picked one up but while I have been researching Solar in many reviews over the last 12 months I keep reading about the cracking fretboards? I’m not hating on Solar in anyway but when your about to pay out of upwards of £1000 on a guitar it’s just a risk I’m a little sceptic to take. Just curious because I’m gonna get one....u get a cracked fretboard?? I’m definitely impressed with the solar Duncan’s, the Evertune in my opinion is the greatest innovation in guitar progress ever, and btw that’s not a one piece body, it’s set through and blended to look like a one piece.
I was very interested in buying a Solar guitar, but the QC has been awful with all the reports I've heard no disrespect to Ola Englund but something needs to be done when you're paying big money for a guitar....
You are picking and complaining over very small issues. The strap peg??? this is not the only guitar with the strap peg on that location. Petty complaints
