All that was done was the channels were deleted and the server got a name and avatar change at that time. A while back it was opened up so that people could talk with their old friends that they made on the server again.
Moat held a special place for me, it was unlike any other game or community and I had a blast trading, making friends and blasting anime models. I was close with admins, regulars and rich people with insane guns and cosmetics. It was an unbelievable thing at the time, and I saw how the server and community started to fall. I asked my friend about what was happening and little did i know how insane what was going on behind the scenes. I thought I was tripping until I found this video and helped me remember all of the things that happened then. Thank you for making this video

I wish more people in the ttt community saw more of this or people outside of the ttt society to know what ttt’s entertainment value can produce. mannn i had joined moat when it was already nearing its downfall i had no real idea that all this was happening behind the scenes but when the inventory got wiped on christmas i sort of started to realize some shit was up and i asked around and started to somewhat understand the decrepid state moat was in, which is a shame really, while my stay in the server wasnt nearly as long as other members i really did enjoy the few months i was in it, it was a very fun experience and my personal biggest memory of the server is this: A literal day before the christmas wipe i got a planetery warriochi from a titan crate while moat was in the server and i was so excited and happy only for it to be taken away from me the very next day, safe to say it was a rolercoaster of emotions and also the planetery it was not just some alright one, it was VERY good, it had near perfect stats with a 23.6 trigger finger on it and 2 leech talents, i still have a screenshot of it, the few moments i had running around and gunning everyone down with it as a traitor are memories i hold dear to my heart. some people tell me i should just move on to velkon or what not and i actually did but velkon also did some sort of wipe which completely ruined my will to continue this inventory system in ttt but overall i still have good memories of this server and the people in it.
I played on moat for a while but during its downfall, I still had fun and loved what it did to ttt. In fact, most is also been rebranded as the Not Found ttt servers, with old players as the admins now, and improvement to the server with high player count every day

To add a bit to what I remember near the end, I was upset that Moat added the ability to reroll Extincts using planetary mutators, making my unique weapons seem less unique, and those planetary mutators were always in massive demand (I got a Planetary stat mutator drop and immediately got a bunch of messages about it). They also nerfed the high fire rate Christmas M16 Ascended, after many players spent and lost millions of IC rerolling for nothing (Ascended Mutators went from 17k-20kish to 45k just due to this item alone). Also, shortly before the inventory purge, random players received ~200,000 credits at random (including myself - I sold a lot of VIPs to newbies to take advantage of this) and one player I heard got 7 pages worth of planetary mutators, crashing the price (I doubt that was an accident, though). When I lost my overpowered weapons I spent hundreds of hours acquiring I moved on from TTT for good. Sousaphone Simon

I applied for staff many times over the years but finally got it maybe 6 months or so before everything burned down. Shit only got worse after that because I got to see the inner workings of things and during my onboarding Jam made it a point to say "Don't ever speak bad about Cole in public" and "If anyone says anything negative just ignore them". I quit again before everything really went down but I'll never forget my first time playing, my first deathclaw round, when vapes first got added and megas lagged the entire server, when dragon rounds were being worked and we got to play test them at complete random, making up an excuse to call out of work and staying up for 2 days in a row to do the insomnius event twice when planetaries were first released. I play on velkon now and it's definitely fun but I have to admit it'll never be the same as the early days of moat (Ignore bad punctuation and possible spelling errors. This was all speech to text)
Of my 900 hours logged in gmod, I'd say 880 of them are when I played moat. I don't know what it was, but I could just play that game hours on end for some reason. My favorite pasttime was glitching into the T rooms lmao, I think i got warned once about it. My favorite weapon was this pink/orange tier (I had two) autoglock that I had rolled firing speed on, and I think it also had vampirism or whatever it was called so I got health whenever I hit someone. Looking back, it's actually pretty funny how strict the rules were as well, well that is if I remember it correctly. Gosh this is making me want to play ttt again. Maybe I'll curb the urge with some seananners videos for now lol

I only played for a couple months I think but this was still a nostalgic lookback at what ended up being such a disastrous mess, I sunk quite a few hours into playing on Moat's TTT servers and I'd often play 4-6 hours at a time going well into the night I was never very good at it but I still had a lot of fun and met a lot of funny people while playing and with how much I sunk into it and the experiences I had that downfall hurt pretty good I also had no idea about the pedo allegations tbh, I just remember that Moat went insane and starting unbanning everyone and destroying the Discord server and that's about when I gave up

brassx's is a liar i went out to verify for myself, moat wrote the code and moat cut him out. I asked brassxed for his "contract" and he did not provide it. came up with a lame excuse saying its a "breach of contract" the dude makes up more bullshit and his followers seat it up because they are gullible as fuck. i also contacted moat and how he wrote the code he basically told me how to rewrite it step by step without even looking at his PC, also moat is getting back into TTT again and scripting for the new sandbox game.
Finally decided to watch this after all this time and damn, just seeing certain names from both the players and guns along with gameplay already gave me such a sense of nostalgia. As of watching the video and reading the reddit thread, it shocks me even more now knowing the full context of the events. To what ever remains of the Moat community, may you all keep on doing your own thing and not develop a serious gambling addiction (unless you already have then good luck.) But I was told about this server since I make a comment talking about some murder server called anchovies aka an anime murder server that was once popular Until the server died to due dramas that cause the server to died, since I know in fact the owner wasn't doing anything about the pedos that were coming on to that server. And even how I was told about how the owner has been stealing stuff from other servers, and even of course he goes on banning so many users over the dramas that was Happening since he did cause someone to quit being a mod from his murder server, while I do know this other murder server called Quebec gaming where I did remember. How some of the anchovies players move on to that server aka murder arena that didn't really last that long since some of them just didn't care for that server and decide To focus on other video games while I did remember how when anchovies was still available for anyone to come on and play on anchovies murder server I did know there were. Some players that didn't even bother to come on murder arena to play on that server but the murder server is basically not available since I was told how the server is down due To coding issue which the owner is having a hard time trying to get the server back online for anyone to play on his server but I just doubt anyone would want to play on his server Anymore due to the dramas that cause his server to died all thanks to him and the drama towards anchovies.
