First time I see a Hawaiian airline land as smooth as this.

The reason you could not hear reverses was just the design of the aircraft and how sound travels through the draft created by the airplane.

I really wish they still flew these out of SMF! I'm taking Hawaiian in February on an a321neo...don't get me wrong, great plane! ...there's just something about the 767/757's... plus you don't exactly get to experience wide-bodies too much when you fly out of Sacramento!

I was lucky enough to fly on a rare A330 out of Sacramento which you don’t see everyday! But yeah I sure miss the wide-bodies instead of the A321neo.

I didn't know they had flights from Sacramento to Honolulu, usually they would be from L.A. or San Francisco.

They've had flights to/from Sacramento for years. At one point, there were 2 flights a day to/from Sacramento. My first flight out of SMF on Hawaiian was back 2004. But, they only fly to Oahu. No direct flights to Maui or Kauai.

Never heard so many people talking at once during a landing, plus is that guy in the background talking to his friend on a cell phone the whole way down?

Someone in the background wouldnt shut up. LOL. They were about all anyone is hearing.

You don't need anything more than idle reverse and autobrakes 2 for runway 8L.

Damn! The guys talking haven't stopped. They are loud and rude. No one wants to hear what you guys have to say!

The most annoying thing was that loud-mouth talking when the flight attendant was talking. How very rude.

when does that NOT happen on a flight? :D

Man that guy won’t shut the hell up! You poor thing having to endure that for 5+ hours! This is one of the reasons why I only fly first.

Reverse thrust on an engine only accounts for 1/3 braking (or less). The Automatic Braking System (ABS) actually accounts for 2/3 (or more) braking on any average aircraft. (That's what we were taught in CPL text books, anyway!)
