What Happens When the (Metro Transit) Blue Line is Under Construction?

Another blue line, this time the Metro Transit, version goes under construction between Fort Snelling and the Mall of America. We will ride Metro Transit’s quite good bus shuttle.

I took the blue bus and route 54 from terminal 1 and the 54 was 15 minutes quicker which is crazy

Bloomington looks to have some good TOD despite the mall, but malls tend to be major transfer hubs anyway so why not up-zone

Bloomington had some really good TOD by Bloomington Central specifically.

The area immediately adjacent to the mall was slated to be the site of Expo 2027 but since we didn’t win the bid (which I’m still bitter about btw) it is currently an empty field waiting for future development. I’m not really sure what’s gonna go there though (probably apartments).

@@msptransit I saw that a plan to move the current Blue Line terminus at moa to 82nd and abandon the current station according the the Riverview streetcar plans (if that's the empty field we're talking about)

@@msptransit At one point, there was going to be a Paris expo at Disneyland Paris that would've laid the ground work for that resort's third gate
