      Hi xpusostomos, yes the T14 is the 2020 model version of the T490. I am awaiting for it to arrive in my hands, both the T14 (Intel) and T14 (AMD).

    I don't understand why did they remove the external battery? We already have the X1 carbon thinner and lighter with no external battery? Why ruining the T-Series?

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  4 года назад

      I agree with you having the battery external for easy swap was one feature really loved especially to a lot of business people who go on long flights but then these days those that do run long periods have now moved over to the laptop power banks so really playing with the batteries usually techs trying to resolve faults.

    If this laptop falls to the floor what affects the quality of the battery on the laptop? because since the laptop fell, the laptop battery became leaky, previously there was no leak in the laptop battery. Please infoo, dude🙏

      @@BsianTech hahahahaha. Just one question: I just purchased a T490 and it should be arriving in the mail in a couple of days. I purchased one without the Dolby gloss-free display. The display is like 1080 or something. Do you by chance know if that's pretty good? I currently have a T480 and its display was something around 760 or so. Display is awful considering how new and expensive that machine is. Was hoping I wouldn't encounter the same problem.

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  4 года назад

      @@JasonGafar you will welcome the nice bump up in resolution from HD to FHD. The one thing about the FHD is the screen brightness, at 250 nits (for non touch screen) and 300 nits (Touch screen) you might struggle a bit outdoors. Though it will still be brighter than the T480 HD version which was 200 nits. Else I'm sure you will like the little upgrade you got there =).

    Which brand do you think offers the best buisness class range of laptops?

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  4 года назад +1

      Hi NotGettingAny, these are the brands of business laptops I have dealt in the past; Dell, Lenovo, HP, Acer, Microsoft, Apple and Toshiba. I know there are others and I have played and worked off them in a personal environment. From my experience as I support these I look at these laptops in a different matter and judge them. I have worked for small organisation (10-15 staff) and large organisation (5000+ staff). Besides looking at what each offers individual my big thing is I really look at the service of after sales support and ease and turn around time to get business laptops back into normal operation. My experience is in Australia so this would differ in each country. Back to your question if you asking for best range of business laptops in short in my experience I would single out Lenovo overall. What are your thoughts for business laptops, which brands have you dealt with I love to hear your thoughts?

      @@BsianTech I have worked on the Dell latitude series previously and always thought they were very solid. Showed no real signs of slowdown or wear after a few years of fairly aggressive use. A few people in our other office recently managed to wrangle some of the Dell XPS series which to me seems like overkill but I wouldn't mind one myself......

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  4 года назад +3

      @@NotGettinAny I have a few brands running around though the percentage of Dells are high, overall I have found the Lenovo have much lower failure rate/ratio.

      Hi shahid imran, first check in task manager if anything is running in the background that is taking the CPU on load or not. If the CPU is only running say 1-5%, first thing to do is to do a System Update via the Lenovo System Update software hoping there will be a BIOS update. If the BIOS update didn't slow down the fan then I would go into BIOS and look at the thermal options set. As it could be set by accidentally set to performance mode.
