I’m in my jrotc air rifle team, and it’s been an amazing experience. I’m a sophomore and it’s my first year in air rifle, no prior experience whatsoever before this year. I got two first place medals in overall kneeling and new shooter categories out of over 200 people. I beat people who’ve been shooting for four years and I’ve only been shooting for four months. I’m a natural shooter who just understands somehow and learns fast. Sometimes I still have to go back to the basics like this. For instance with the standing position I was trying SO hard to figure out why my shots weren’t what I wanted, and it was as simple as my breathing. So remember those basics. They really do matter
Oh dang ur in JROTC to? Same! I'm in NJROTC in Washington lol, I've been selected to be one if the cadets in precision, but my shots keep missing, the breathing and follow through really helped me get better :3
100% correct! Of course there are many other considerations but these five are solid suggestions to tighter groups or kill shots. Consistency is critical to good shooting technique and practice is absolutely essential. You're on it Jackie! Thanks!!!
With regard to trigger control, much depends upon the weight of the trigger pull as a heavy trigger will often require more of the finger than just the pad. Triggers with light sensitive trigger pull are best with the light pad touch. There is often a significant difference in the type of firearm being shot, example would be a breakbarrel air rifle which most often shoots best with a light hold and allowing the gun to recoil on its own, unlike a powder driven rifle or PCP which is most generally held more securely.
Wow! Very impressed. One of the best videos on the subject. I was one of a small number of expert marksmen in my platoon, and I don't think I could said these things better in as short a time. Kudos.
Also, if shooting a pistol, grip is very important along with locking wrists and elbows. You brought up good points to remember. A lot of times, getting back in the groove is just reviewing the basics!
Keep EVERY movement slow, smooth, and deliberate including your breathing as if everything is in slow motion. It's strange, but i shoot MUCH better doing this.
Great job with this presentation Jacque!! How about a Top 5 Pumper rifles video? In about 5 minutes do the Top 5 and include some fun shooting footage using various Airgun Depot targets and maybe even alloy pellets. (All kid friendly) With the stay at home policy and spring, we all could use another inexpensive activity to do with our kids. A nice exciting and encouraging family video to get out in our yards and maybe even a little workout pumping. These Top 5 rifles must have accuracy first, power for small hunting, and then reliability! Bonus points should be given to the rifles; for looking bad a##, having multi-shot magazines, or having easy to load pellet chambers(for us with big hands)!!! Red Ryder's are fun little rifles but boys over the age of 8 get bored with them when cans don't go flying!!
I do all of them occasionally, lol. I am terrible for not doing the follow through, I pull my head up every time, I have to get ready for the next shot, I have to pull my gun off my shoulder to cock it, back up and shoot again. That's beside the point, lol, I need to practice follow through. Eventually, you can train your muscles to move in position autonomically, like playing an instrument, if you're practicing wrong your not practicing. I say this like I'm an expert, lol, nope, but I do learn from people who are good shooters.
If you add back weight, even though the overall rifle is going to be heavier the weight on your support hand won't be as much. a balanced rifle is a "light" rifle.
start with a common color like glossy olive drab ,then a splotch of tan and brown ,its camo nail polish !!! wow ,i might have just invented something for girls anyways lol
I've been trying to see every pellet, and this video led me to realize that's been causing good follow through. Seems it would help against flinching, anticipating, and blinking, maybe.
@@senatorjosephmccarthy2720 oh.. I agree,I've tried, but that eye, just doesn't wanna cooperate.lol... Im not a bad shot by any means.. I don't jerk the gun..and it doesn't happen with open sights... I think it has to do with magnification of a scope.. I have a red dot on my .25 gladius long and don't have a problem there because i use both eyes... I think...
@@wascalywabbit , I would start telling myself I really like the gun shooting, as I pull the trigger. Tell myself it really relaxes me to have it fire. Train myself to that.
Thank-you, watching this made me a better shooter. Follow thru, duh. Another fine vid from a fine figure of a women who knows what she's doing. Hell yea.
Jessica is doing a good job but she isn’t as bubbly as you were. Sorry PYA/AGD let their staff go. I always disagree with management. Maybe that’s why I have my own business🤷♂️🇺🇸👍💪💯

Practice, Practice...Practice! Thanks for the video
Hi from England. As a doddering old shooter these tips work. As you say Mam sometimes we have to get back to basics. Thank you.

Great reminder of basics! Never useless to review. Keep up the good job

Outstanding and spectacularly extraordinary stellar-ness! As always. 😎

I really don’t care about Airguns but love watching the girl.
Thanks a lot!
If you’re shooting a springer, make sure all screws are tight before you start.
This one has got me multiple times. 😂
Drop of blue loctite works.
Keeping at least ONE eye open :)
what make and model is the gun in point of contact portion?
That is a RAW HM1000x Chassis Rifle. www.airgundepot.com/raw-hm1000x-chassis-air-rifle.html#AGD-516810340
Great
Does it hatsan airtact pd .177 good for beginners, how is quality and accuracy?Regards😃
Yo the school subject looking good
Can you give me tips how to aim better on the kneeling, prone and standing position? I'm in marksmanship.
Love your eyes

Favorite. Sorry Travis.
Don't worry, he understands ;)
Saya dari Indonesia telah lama mengikuti video air gun depot. Saya ingin menjual produk airgun depot, bagaimana caranya ?
DON'T"ANTICIPATE" THE SHOT IT SHOULD BE RELAXED AND ALMOST A SURPRISE,WHEN THE TRIGGER BREAKS.
WITH THE ABOVE 5 + PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.
dang those eyes when she gets behind the scope all business.
Amazing how many shooter's use no follow through at all, first thing we show newbies at the range.
My biggest problem when i pull the trigger..is an involuntary eye blink and have never been able to overcome it

Nice shirt.
This must be for PCP's, not springers. #2, multiple points of contact and artillery hold just don't sound the same.

For shooters who love hooters
Well said
Check your pellet is not damaged.
That's important but not really a "technique" Just like cleaning the barrel wouldn't be
wow im number 265 to like this vid ,todays is still the 9th its 6;23 pm thats amazing already !
'follow through' , just like with shooting a basketball. Swish!
One beautiful lady xx
Dang. She's something else.
Excellent..love the nails. If u did the toes will be back for the next video.
💯💯💯💯

For one I can easily afford all of these. Lol

Do left-handers scare you, too?

the real #1 tip, don't try to learn anything that takes concentration from a blonde goddess! "what was she talking about? dah i dunno I'm in love!!!"
Still adorable
What’s the blondes name?
