Its simple he had more stats than valkyre but costed the same and had the ability. But then they made him cost more which wasn't what he needed because he has way worst stats than every 5 elixir tank. they only gave him a tiny buff later to his hitspeed but even with his knock back he was just worse than mightyminer witch costed less than him.
I think monk doesn't need a buff for now. The reason it's not played is because little prince is the better champion to use and evo knight is the better tank to use. They need a nerf. That could already be enough to make monk playable. If that's still not the case after these nerfs then they can buff it later.
FR they should make the monk 4 elixir again, I think that this time it wouldnt be SO broken bc little prince has an insanely high usage and is very broken too
Bad take but I agree that 4 made more sense. Nerfing stats like HP, hitspeed, dmg, would make more sense I guess dmg is fine but the ither 2 could stand to be nerfed. ALTERNATIVELY: Maybe a movement speed change with a health buff (5 elix still) so it’s like a tiny giant
One thing is that it is competing with every other champion, as more champions are added each individual champion will be used less and less when another champion is much better for your deck
Phoenix was probably the most broken card ever like ok you could argue that little prince/evos are stronger in 1v1 but what made phoenix behond that is that he could easily be paired with mirror :)

Phoenix needs a movement speed buff. It’s supposed to chip away high health units but can’t keep up when trailing behind. That’s my only complaint about the card.
Don't know about you guys but he slaps in 2v2. Counters firecracker, little prince. Absolute gold when your opponent Sparkys at the back and drop the monk on the bridge 😂 Always great using the monk special ability to make the firecracker & magic archer damage their own tower 😂
Monk sucks I just use him cause I hate how repetitive everyone’s decks are like you can’t go 1 match without seeing a unique deck it’s like your playing against the same person every time and the community’s so toxic every time I beat a hog cycle or mega knight deck they princess yawn lmao 😊
