    Do you know of any solution to add an affordable SIM back up cell module to this system in case the intruder cuts off the internet connection before intrusion?

    Just watched this video, great product!! This is exactly what I've been tying to find for quite some time now. I currently have a large system with 15 sensors. I'm confused with what exactly I need and am having trouble finding any availability of your product. Please advise what I need and where to get my hands on it. Thank you in advance

    When the power goes out, will the alarm notify me of this? My old 25year old panel will so I imagine this will. Can you confirm please? And will the backup battery power my router?

    Is it possible to use it with a standard alarm keypad as well?

    Without EOL resistors in your sensors, how are you supervising the integrity of the alarm. They could be useless and you would not know. Is this correct ? Thanks for the info in advance...

    Can you add a video on all the details needed to get Konnected to hook up with Hubitat. Once everything is entered into Hubitat( apps, drivers including Hubitat Safety monitor, not sure how to get alarm to work. How to get alarm to notify you on your phone

    I like your product and i backed you up for a reward of 3 modules. Looming forward to getting them soon. But in my old alarm system i have wireless reciver (gemini wireless gem- recv 32) can that work with your system. I have like 6 sensors connected to this wireless reciver. Please help.

    Are you able to see sensor history? For example, you can see the current status of a door but can you see when/if the door was opened an hour or a day ago?

    • @Konnected-io
      @Konnected-io  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, all of the smart home platforms that we support will track and display sensor history. SmartThings history lasts for 7 days.

    Can you add a video that shows how you 'set' the alarm e.g. when leaving the house and how to deactivate when you return

      There are many ways to do it, it's up to you. Personally we use presence detection to automatically arm and disarm. You could also use your phone, a wall-mounted tablet with ActionTiles, or a smart door lock.

    Hey, I have been looking into this for a few weeks, and I have a question. What if you have too many sensors in your home for just one panel? I am assuming that I would just get another one and daisy chain them together, unless you have another product that has more terminals. Great Idea for a product though.

    can you still arm and disarm the alarm from the old school panel on the wall? or is it only controlled via ST? like if you dont have your phone and need to disarm the alarm?

      The product demoed here replaces the old alarm. If you want to keep your old-school panel and keypads, check out our newer product the Alarm Panel INTERFACE that works in parallel with the existing alarm: konnected.io/collections/in-stock-now/products/konnected-alarm-panel-interface-for-wired-security-systems

  • @AJCoReTV

    My sensors are wired, but the system communicates with home monitoring via 3G cell module, not “landline”... will that be an issue?

    • @AJCoReTV
      @AJCoReTV 6 лет назад

      Konnected I do not want professional central monitoring, I’m ok with just keeping it “self”, my alarm system was regular old fashion landline came pre-installed with home.... few years later I had it activated, tech came in & upgraded from landline communication to cell communication. But all my sensors are still hardwired/not battery powered ... so I don’t get confused by your last sentence , are you saying konnect will not be able to be added at all to my system? Or are you referring to just the cell module in my old system no longer being used, if I do install Konnect?

    • @AJCoReTV
      @AJCoReTV 6 лет назад

      Konnected awesome! Thanks for clearing that up... & like you mentioned, I could have konnect & still have central monitoring using “Scout”... very nice! Can I buy Konnect on Amazon yet?

    What if your position sensors are wireless and there's no wires as the 'old' alarm is operating on a frequency to collect the data from position sensors ? What do you do then ?

    • @Konnected-io

      You use your existing siren. Konnected works with most 12V alarm sirens up to 1.4A power consumption. If you don't have one, we sell one separately here: konnected.io/collections/in-stock-now/products/honeywell-wave2-two-tone-siren

    This is very insecure if it only operates on WiFi. Because with another ESP8266 or computer you can easily do a deauthentication attack and shut down the alarm system

  • @elliottsturm940
    @elliottsturm940 6 лет назад

    So, as I understand this, supervised devices like smoke detectors and CO detectors are no longer supervised. Is that right? And since it doesn't communicate to a monitoring service, your house may catch fire while you're out of town, and you'll get a notice on your smart phone. Of course, your house will burn down, but at least you'll know about it. And if a wired CO detector activates, the system may alert your phone, but you'll be dead. Oh yeah, that backup battery thing - as long as you're around to plug in that other battery, you're good. But if you're not, the system is dead. You guys need to grow up - this system is for kids who like to think they're getting around the monthly fee to have their system monitored by professionals. You guys better be ready for the lawsuits when something goes wrong.

    • @jimmycole1212
      @jimmycole1212 6 лет назад +2

      if only there was some way you could use your smart phone to notify the authorities that your house was on fire.... maybe this kid will make an app for that next? maybe we could call it a telephone app. the CO sensor would trigger the siren, so you would wake up. The backup battery is always plugged into the system, and its charge is maintained by the same power that electrifies the board. I can definitely see why you want to leave this to the professionals. This system requires too much thinking for some people

    • @elliottsturm940
      @elliottsturm940 6 лет назад

      James! Come on, dude! Sarcasm and insults aren't going to win me over And, leave it to the professionals? I've been installing and servicing alarms since 1979. I opened my own shop 12 years ago and haven't looked back, so when I speak about alarm systems, you can be assured I really do know what I'm talking about. But, hey, maybe you won't be unconscious when the siren activates because the (unsupervised) CO or smoke detector tripped. And maybe, if the battery goes dead during an extended power outage, there will still be a way to know the house is filling with poison gas from a smoldering carpet somewhere. Did I mention I'm also a firefighter, so I kinda know about these things? Anyway, James, have a good day, and don't depend on life safety system that haven't been run through UL.

    • @jimmycole1212
      @jimmycole1212 6 лет назад +1

      Elliott Sturm I dont care about winning you over. Your complains were factually unsound. And spending a career installing alarm systems doesnt impress anyone

    • @elliottsturm940
      @elliottsturm940 6 лет назад +1

      James, certainly not you, anyway. Please explain to me where I'm wrong. If the detectors are indeed supervised without EOL resistors in the circuit, I'd like to know how that's possible.

    • @jimmycole1212
      @jimmycole1212 6 лет назад

      Totally separate issue from what you were griping about
