Yes and no, the sound comes from Super Mario Bros. 3 and was reused in the Zeldan games.
Didnt know it came from Mario 3 but definitely heard it

I totally forgot about the warp whistle!
Meant to be a reference to the warp whistle, but I believe it first appeared in the first Zelda game as that game's warp whistle ;D
dude the mario anniversary direct had me so shocked. i was surprised with everything happening in the world. i was expecting just a small homage to mario and thats it but boy was i wrong. this is just perfect timing

Qumu is probably the only person who can nail just about every remix every time, whether it's upbeat and got a kick-ass rhythm to it, or if it's chill like this.

This is one of my favorite things to play on the piano when I want to just vibe, because at its core, it's just a relatively simple pattern of chords, yet it's also quite easy to make up nice-sounding stuff on top of the pattern.
There's a lot of room to play around with this song on the piano, if that makes sense.

Dgl, when I heard Piranha Plant's Lullaby in game, I put the controller down and just chilled. When I heard the piano version, I was impressed. When I heard this, I was astonished at how someone could make such a chiller version of something already so chill. But eh, that's Qumu for you. Always breaking borders on how much of something can be in music.

This song is amazing! I always loved how long it went- you so rarely hear it in SM64 to its full extent, so it’s nice they went to the effort of making it long.

This melody just screams for Lo-Fi so much that it scares me. Almost as if it foresaw the future so it decided to be part of the game. When I thought of _SM64 Lo-Fi_ this is the first theme I instantly thought of and I'm so glad someone saw the same potential and made a remix about it. Cheers :)

I literally shivered with nostalgia..to make a long story somewhat short me and my brother when we were both younger and didn't dully understand what we were trying to do, would take turns and play 64 and we spent alot of time just crawling everywhere especially in whomps around the piranha plants.
