In the early 90's. I lived in Moosonee for two years and Moose Factory for two years. I had relocated there working for The Northwest Company AKA Northern Stores as well as local grocery outlet called Chilly Willies. Myself and family have very fond memories of the area and it's people. While it may be cut off from major centres I found it incredible to have met visitors from all over the world.
Some of my favorite times in my life were spent in Moosonee. Way back in 1978. I have art work I am very proud of from Moosonee. Thank you posting.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Hello,,what did you do up in Moosonee ? and who did you know up there?…I’m from Moosonee we left 1980 for St Catharines
I lived in moosonee from from 1962 to 1965....best time of my life....very nice and friendly people....close knit society...wish I was back there...l plan to visit soon
I am from Moose Factory. Wasn't born there, but raised by my paternal grandparents there from 1975-80. MF has a special place in my heart. ❤
Used to love this show when I was a kid.
I'm from Timmins originally, but have probably been to every town in Northern Ontario you guys visited. I come back to these videos to remember a better time in this country.
Thank you very much for uploading these again. It means alot.
My birth father, Neil Patrick Morris, was born in Timmins in February 18 1941.
I lived there in 1980. Now I am in my 50s living in Toronto
My very first year as a teacher, I taught up in Moosonee. Such a beautiful area. I still have my 3 Tamarac Geese, and a bear carving that I bought that year. I think it was 1988 or 89 that I was up there.
I lived in Moosonee MANY years ago when I was a little kid when it was CFS Moosonee. It was a very small community but we managed. I don't remember a lot but I do remember going to Henry Hudson School and going to movies at the rec center on the weekend.
I once worked with a guy named Rupert from Moose Factory
What a beautiful story. I was there yesterday. Back in Toronto today. I miss it already.
Thumbs up 👍
cool, nice to see old Moosonee
How can I feel so homesick for a place I have never been, but only know from my fathers cine films and his stories of working here and Pagwa for the HBC in the 1950’s

i had a chance to go there when i was 17 and i never made it.. i was in a camp near Kapuskasing and our crew was going there for the day but a few of us chose to do something else (i cant even remember what) but i have always thought about it and wished i had seen it with my own eyes.
Some starved , and some worked with new technologies of the great depression times, then war came, because some were starving and some were on new trains that cost alot for whiskey barrel deliveries 🧸🇨🇦 Toronto, Montreal, Hull, Moosonee too
