Such an amazing video tribute to my home city of Saint John, New Brunswick! I will be back soon. Currently living in Edmonton Alberta. See you soon Saint John. I miss you❤️
@@robsj6838what a time to be alive in the 80s. I went to st Vincent's for grade 10 then Simonds for 11-12. graduated in 84. excellent video and info👏👏
This is a nice video. May I suggest a better title for it; it doesn't do the informative video justice; also the correction of the Spelling of Saint John may help.
@@beavercreekpictures9809 I hope more pay it a visit. I'm old enough to remember some of the images. I remember getting so excited as a kid going to MRA. My great grandfather worked at a nail works on the river in Saint John.
@@beavercreekpictures9809 Long ago Saint John was actually called St. John! they changed it to Saint John sometime between 1990-2000, i think atleast! im from here so i think i have an idea haha
@@nickolasgyrlevich4767 it was officially changed way earlier then that lol the powers that be were not consistent in the old days on record keeping so now we have this great debate on our name. it also does not help there are other cities in Canada with names close to ours as well.....
Saint John like NB, is the epitome of a captured state situation in modern times, in which a family essentially takes over making policy for government. It's a fact that every politician knows that if you want a long career, you need to cozy up to the Irvings. After all it is the only “Company Province” in Canada, which has been quite a detriment to this province especially Saint John.

Changed in the 1800s so as not to be confused with St. Jean, Quebec.
Hasn't changed much
Irving Corp. owns Saint John and its people.
