My maternal grandmother was born in Hebron, Nova Scotia. My maternal grandfather's family was from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I've traveled through St. John in the past never knowing what a fascinating history there is there. Thank you so much Part-Time Explorer!
My Good friend Martin Lee said once, my family's only claim to fame ia one of them was on the Titanic. Now i had a copy of the passenger manifest, no Lee. So I went back, are you sure he was on the Titanic? So had another look, did not think of checking crew.....Reginald Lee! Only in the crows nest at the time of the collision. I managed to get a very grainy copy of his image. He actually looks like him too! Wierdly Lee fades into the background of the inquest. Yet Frederick Fleet seems to be the most documented. Odd that both were on watch but only Fleet seems to have been more visable.
This was so much more interesting than I thought it would be. Does the gentleman you were presenting with have a RUclips! channel or something similar, by any chance? Thanks for such informative historical videos in any case!
