Thankfully our city is becoming a safer place every day. The couple sketchy neighborhoods we have are nothing compared to some places in big cities. The city is transforming quickly. And I for one am thankful for our rich history. And world class outdoor recreation

Fun fact: Thunder Bay was great up until like 20 years ago when it became a cess pit of crack and heroin

Actually the Fort is quite far from its original site.

I don't regret leaving my home town in 1982....the place became a scary place. Poverty, murder, racism all rolled into a mistake by the lake. Wouldn't send my worst enemy there....shit hole of Ontario!

I left in 87 and return a few times every so often to see family. I was shocked to see what happened to this city! 2024 and tent cities everywhere and people passed out in doorways, roads that haven't been fixed in the six years since my last visit. Every city has its issues but the decline of Thunder Bay has been swift and is sad to see.

Thunder Bay has an interesting history, to bad it's now plauged with dangerous street drugs, that's why I left.

@@LibertyEtiquette you'll be ok. Thunder Bay can Bay can be great, you just need to stay away from the drug users and slum areas.
