Any leaks since fitting? Bit wary about fitting mine cos the built-in neoprene rubber seal looks tiny. If I put a bit of mastic on edges of cut out do you think that might help give added protection from water ingress or could adding mastic possibly hinder the performance of built-in seal? Thanks for the video.
What is your experience with Flettner ventilator now? I’m thinking of installing one. Is there any wind noise? Any water getting through the roof? Does it reduce condensation considerably?
@@ZEIMISJZ ok cool i have 2 to fit tomorrow on my van i have a nightmare with condensation i have the same ones as you ..... so anything that protects from rust will work... so a clear anti rust will do the job aslo i suppose ?
My advice is to seal the vent top and bottom were it's fitted to the hole. Even with this like all vents they will let in some rain. Solution? A bucket.

No leaks at all
I agree
Really helpful mate cheers 👍
Did you use a 79mm hole saw ? That will leave a slightly bigger hole due to the way it cuts ?
I was using 80mm hal saw
@@ZEIMISJZ ok thank you can’t seem to find one only 79mm ones
@@leonwhalley5554 i bought from eBay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271832815295

Great video, brilliantly done. Can I ask With you having what appears like a joiners van, why did you need a vent?
It was a lot of condensation on the ceiling inside so that's why I decided to install a vent.
Has it made alot of difference
Yes it did
@@gazogle there is no any condensation on the ceiling now
Did it make much of a difference in regards to heat inside the van?
Yes, a lot of hot air escapes from the vent
How much clearance does the spinning part have from the roof? Looks 12-15mm. Just I have. Gap of 130 rib to rib kind of like yours.
Only 60 mm

@@ZEIMISJZ from the bottom of the spinning part to the roof is 60mm? Cos the rib lining on my roof sticks up about 12mm so it should miss?
Check the link
Who manufactures this vent and do they have a web page?
I don't know, I bought it from eBay
I have this vent in my van i don't need it and how to close from outside on the roof this vent.
Get some blank
whats the sealer spray you used ?
If you talking about black stuff is just a black paint ti protected from rust. No any sealer at all.
