Signing Laura Nyro as his first artist set him up for all the success that followed. When Nyro aged 21 sold her publishing to Columbia in 1969 for $4.5 million, David received half.

The Eagles album recorded in England with Glyn Johns to which David referred is Desperado. I would love to hear more from David about his experiences with Irving Azoff and the Eagles in the 1970s. CSNY and the Birds were mere preludes to the Eagles.
